Introduction: The International Labor Organization estimates that nearly 2.34 million workers die as a result of their work each year. About 86.23% were caused by occupational diseases. Pneumoconiosis is a disease that can be found in coal mining. Pneumoconiosis is divided into several types, including silicosis, asbestosis, mixed dust fibrosis, coal worker's pneumoconiosis (CWP), and other types (Zhang). CWP is a chronic and irreversible disease that is a public health problem. Coal with a higher combustion capacity has the greatest risk of causing CWP. Purpose: This research was conducted to review the literature on the duration of work with an increase in the incidence of CWP in coal mine workers. Method: Twenty reference sources were drawn from PubMed, ScienceDirect, ResearchGate, and Google Scholar. The articles reviewed in this report range from 2000 to 2020. Results: Most studies suggest an increase in the prevalence of CWP cases. The incidence of CWP increases with the amount of dust exposure and the long duration of work. Discussion: Subjectively, dust exposure, age, and years of service did not have a significant relationship with respiratory problems, and put more emphasis on the relationship between PPE use and smoking habits. Other effects include COPD, death, and health costs. Conclusion: The conclusion of this study states that a longer work duration increases the incidence of CWP in coal mine workers.

Abstract Domestic worker migration can profoundly reconfigure unpaid care arrangements within migrant households, often exacerbating gendered inequalities in providing and receiving care. While the International Labor Organization has led rights advocacy around migrant domestic work, there remains a dearth of attention to the relationship between feminized migration and unpaid care. In Sri Lanka, this policy space has been occupied by the Family Background Report: a series of regulations that reinforce maternal caregiving by restricting the migration of women with young children. An alternative “decent care” approach, involving investment in local care infrastructure, could yield multiple benefits while promoting a gender-inclusive decent work agenda.

Background: Data from International Labor Organization (ILO) at 2005 shows that there are 250 million case of diseases that related to occupation which can also cause 300.000 death in the world with annual incidence rate of work related lung disease around 1:1000 worker. Laundry worker was included as group that has risk of having occupational pneumoconiosis. Method: This is a descriptive study using total sampling with sample number 24 patient, this study was done in Laundry Installation of Rumah Sakit Umum Pusat Haji Adam Malik Medan on November 2016. Examination was done by using questionnaire, physical examination, daily PEF (before and after working) for 14 days, spirometry, total room dust, total room bacterial colonization. Factors (age, sex, working duration, smoking history, p.2,5 dust exposure, bacterial exposure, safety equipment usage, and nutritional status) that had potential of affecting the decreasing lung function was assessed. Result: From PEF examination, we found mean variability 3.1%. from all worker, there are 9 workers that had decreasing lung function ≥3, 1%. From examination result of 9 sample, decreasing lung function mostly caused by smoking (55%) and p.2,5 dust exposure (66%) Conclusion: Smoking and p.2,5 dust exposure is the most common factors that affected decreasing lung function in laundry worker. The relationship between international organization and developing countries is one of interdependence: developing countries place hope in disinterested help through international agencies; and the needs of the developing world provide stimulus to the expansion of international organization. Yet these two contemporaneous processes of political development—the growth of international organization and nation building in developing areas—may not always be in step. Education is a convenient viewpoint from which to examine this relationship, with its element of discord and of convergence of interest. Education is a prominent aspiration of governments and people in developing countries and is widely considered to be a most efficacious instrument for modernization. This subject-matter limitation also makes it possible to focus on two international organizations: the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) as the agency primarily responsible for educational systems; and the International Labor Organization (ILO) because of its recent emphasis both on training in occupational skills and on the relevancy of the manpower factor for educational policy.

The purpose of this article is to clarify the essence of international labor law (transnational labor law). This article presents and analyzes the relationship of international labor law with public international law and national labor law. The article also focuses on the possibility of considering it as a complex field. The article emphasizes the importance of introducing international labor law as a subject in higher education. The article quotes and discusses the opinions of various scholars regarding whether international labor law is a field of public law or private law, a sub-field of international law or private international law, etc. Subjects and sources of international labor law regulation were defined to determine the attitude towards a specific field of law. This article states that national labor law should be in line with the goals of the International Labor Organization to reduce social inequality, to regulate and protect labor and associated labor relations in accordance with international labor standards and universally recognized human rights. It has been suggested that while international labor law is a branch of public law, it is closely related to private law, in particular, to the national labor law. Other conclusions have been made in this article based on the research methods.
