Diabetes mellitus is one of the biggest health problems in the world. Diabetes mellitus or what is commonly called diabetes (diabetes) is a disease that causes the patient’s body to be unable to control the level of sugar (glycose) in the blood. At this time, many people are doing treatment by using plants as traditional medicine. One of them is cherry leaves. Kersen leaves are believed to reduce blood glucose levels in type II diabetes mellitus sufferers. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of Kersen leaf decoction on blood glucose levels in patients with Type II diabetes in the Bontobahari Community Health Center in 2021. The research design used in this study was a quantitative research design with a true-experimental method (pure experiment) with a pre-post design. Test control group design. The sample used was 38 respondents, with a sampling technique that is probability sampling with simple random sampling. Analysis of the data in this study using the Unpaired T test statistical test. The results of the analysis using the unpaired T-test statistical test obtained p-value = 0.000 (p ≤ 0.05), which means that Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. With changing lifestyle and increasing obesity, prevalence of type -II Diabetes Mellitus is increasing in geriatric individuals, who are generally prone to tooth loss. As a result the demand for implants in these patients is also increasing and planning implants has been a challenge to present day dentists. Diabetes Mellitus causes impaired metabolism in general, especially bone metabolism resulting in impaired Osseointegration and poor wound healing. Growing demand of implants in Type II DM patients has initiated research towards implants survival rates. Extensive research till now states - poorly controlled diabetic patients have higher implant failure rates, where as Diabetic patients with controlled blood glucose levels respond to implants in similar way as healthy patients. The present article is one such trail to confirm that type II Diabetes Mellitus is no more contra-indication for Implants till Blood glucose levels are controlled to normal levels. Abstract: Diabetes mellitus (DM) is a chronic disease characterized by blood glucose levels that exceed normal values. Riskesdas in 2013 showed that North Sulawesi is one of the provinces with the highest prevalence of diabetes in Indonesia. HbA1c measurement is the most accurate way to determine blood sugar levels over the past two to three months. HbA1c is also the best single examination to assess risks to the tissue damage caused by high blood sugar levels. This study aims to determine the levels of HbA1c in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus in Bahu Community Health Center Manado. This study is a descriptive cross sectional study. Primary data were collected through interviews, physical examination and laboratory tests. Respondents were all patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus who came in Bahu Community Health Center and willing to become respondents. The sample size is 22 people. The results of this study prove that more than half of the respondents have not controlled HbA1c levels (> 7%) of 17 respondents. Of the 17 respondents were 9 respondents have overweight body mass index, 13 respondents not take the medicine as directed by doctor and 9 respondents did not exercise regularly. It can be concluded that the blood glucose levels of patients in Bahu Community Health Center is still not controlled, by HbA1c values above 7%.Keywords: HbA1c, Diabetes Mellitus Type 2Abstrak: Diabetes mellitus (DM) merupakan penyakit menahun yang ditandai oleh kadar glukosa darah yang melebihi nilai normal. ABSTRACT: AUTOGENIC RELAXATION TECHNIQUES IN TYPE II DIABETES MELLITUS PATIENTS WITH INSTABILITY PROBLEMS OF BLOOD GLUCOSE LEVELS IN PUTRI GREEN MEDAN TK II HOSPITAL Introduction:Diabetes Mellitus Type II is a metabolic disorder characterized by increased blood sugar levels accompanied by abnormalities in carbohydrates, proteins, and fats due to lack of insulin either due to pancreatic dysfunction or absolute insulin dysfunction. The instability of blood glucose levels in DM patients causes complications, so it is necessary to use autogenic relaxation techniques. Autogenic Relaxation is a form of mind body intervention, originating from within yourself in the form of words or short sentences that can make the mind calm by giving exercises to sit in a chair, leaning back on a chair, or problems on the floor by closing your eyes and breathing through your nose and exhale. through the mouth with the technique repeated for approximately 10 minutes do the procedure 2-3 times. Objective: The purpose of this scientific paper is to carry out health education about autogenic relaxation techniques in type II diabetes mellitus patients with blood glucose level instability problems at the Tk II Putri Hijau Hospital in Medan. Methods: The design of this research case study method is descriptive. The study sample consisted of 2 patients according to the inclusion criteria. Result: The results of the study after being given autogenic relaxation therapy in the first patient decreased by 91 mg/dl and the second patient decreased by 208 mg/dl. So that it can offer autogenic relaxation techniques in type II DM patients to reduce blood glucose levels. Conclusion: It is hoped that further researchers can conduct research by adding other characteristics that have not been studied related to the symptoms of type II DM patients. Keywords: Diabetes Mellitus Type II, Blood Glucose Level Instability,       Autogenic Relaxation Technique  INTISARI: TEKNIK RELAKSASI AUTOGENIK PADA PASIEN DIABETES MILLITUS TIPE II DENGAN MASALAH KETIDAKSTABILAN KADAR GLUKOSA DARAH DI RUMAH SAKIT TK II PUTRI HIJAU MEDAN Pendahuluan: Diabetes Mellitus Tipe II merupakan kelainan metabolisme kronik yang ditandai dengan peningkatan kadar gula darah disertai dengan kelainan metabolisme karbohidrat, protein, dan lemak akibat kurang insulin baik karena disfungsi pankreas ataupun disfungsi insulin absolut.

Diabetes mellitus is a disease that required good self-management. Noncompliance in diet and meal plans cause the instability of blood glucose levels. Nutrition education calendar method can improve knowledge and ability to consume food that matches the number, hours and types with dietary adjustments listed in the calendar diet. This study aimed to determine the effect of nutrition education calendar method on blood glucose levels of patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus in Community Health Center Pakis Malang. Pre-experimental design one group pretest-posttest with purposive sampling was conducted in this study and sample obtained as many as 21 people. Blood glucose levels were measured before and after the nutrition education calendar methods. Compliance in using calendar method with the observation sheet. Statistical analysis values obtained by Wilcoxon, the p-value of 0.007 (p <0.05). The results of the analysis, 16 respondents showed a decrease in blood glucose levels and 5 respondents experienced an increase in blood glucose levels after the given intervention. It can be concluded that there are differences between blood glucose levels before and after nutrition education calendar method. Differences in blood glucose levels can be influenced by controlling diet respondent in accordance with the calendar method in education, but also antidiabetic drugs, and sports. Should be added to the control group to determine objectively the effect of nutrition education on the calendar method.

Challenges in lifestyle, such as increasesin energy intake and decreasesin physical activity are causing overweight and obesity leading to epidemic increases in type II Diabetes Mellitus. The research approach used for this study was evaluative approach and the research design was true experimental design. 60 patients with type II diabetes, 30 in experimental group and 30 in control group were selected for this study by using purposive sampling technique. Data was collected with the help of self-structured interview schedule. Descriptive statistics (frequency, percentage, mean and standard deviation) and inferential statistics (chi-square, paired ‘t’ test) were used to analyse the data and to test the hypotheses. In the experimental group, the pre-test mean score was 2.966, mean percentage was 59% and standard deviation was 1.129 and in post-testmean score was 2.533, mean percentage was 50.66% and standard deviation was 1.074 with effectiveness of 8.34% and paired‘t’ test value of t=3.971,which was statistically significant (p<0.05) which is an evidence ofthe effectiveness of Amla juice in reducing blood glucose level. Comparison of blood glucose levels in experimental and control groups, shows that the value is statistically highly significant, as was observed from the unpaired ‘t’ test value of 13.39 with P value of <0.05, which is an evidence indicatingthe effect of Amla juice in reducing postprandial blood glucose levels. The resultsfound that the administration of Amla juice did have aneffect in reducing blood glucose level in the experimental group. By comparing the findings of pre-test and post test between the experimental group and the control group, the effect was identified (assessed). The study concluded that the Amlajuice is effective in reducing blood glucose level.

A novel black tea decoction containing vanadate has successfully replaced insulin in a rat model of insulin-dependent diabetes but is untested in non-insulin-dependent diabetic animals. A tea-vanadate decoction (TV) containing 30 or 40 mg sodium orthovanadate was administered by oral gavage to two groups of Zucker diabetic fatty rats and a conventional water vehicle containing 30 or 40 mg of sodium orthovanadate to two others. In the latter group receiving the 30-mg dose, vanadate induced diarrhea in 50% of the rats and death in 10%. In contrast, TV-treated rats had no incidence of diarrhea and no deaths. Symptoms were more severe in both groups with higher vanadate doses, so these were discontinued. After ~16 weeks, the level of vanadium in plasma and tissue extracts was negligible in a further group of untreated rats but highly elevated after vanadate treatment. Vanadium levels were not significantly different between the TV-treated diabetic rats and the diabetic rats given vanadate in a water vehicle. Over the 115 days of the study, blood glucose levels increased from ~17 to 25 mmol/L in untreated diabetic rats. This was effectively lowered (to <10 mmol/L) by TV treatment. Fasting blood glucose levels were 5, 7, and 20 mmol/L in control (nondiabetic, untreated), TV-treated and untreated diabetic rats, respectively. Rats required treatment with TV for only ~50% of the days in the study. Increase in body mass during the study was significantly lower in untreated diabetic rats (despite higher food intake) than the other groups. Body mass gain and food intake were normal in TV-treated rats. Water intake was 28 mL/rat daily in control rats, 130 mL/rat daily in untreated diabetic rats, and 52 mL/rat daily in TV-treated diabetic rats. Plasma creatinine and aspartate aminotransferase levels were significantly depressed in untreated diabetic rats, and TV treatment normalized this. Our results demonstrate that a novel oral therapy containing black tea and vanadate possesses a striking capacity to regulate glucose and attenuates complications in a rat model of type II diabetes.
