Background Mobile health apps related to maternal and infant health (MIH) are prevalent and frequently used. Some of these apps are extremely popular and have been downloaded over 5 million times. However, the understanding of user behavior and user adoption of these apps based on consumer preferences for different app features and categories is limited. Objective This study aimed to examine the relationship between MIH app characteristics and users’ perceived satisfaction and intent to use. Methods The associations between app characteristics, ratings, and downloads were assessed in a sample of MIH apps designed to provide health education or decision-making support to pregnant women or parents and caregivers of infants. Multivariable linear regression was used to assess the relationship between app characteristics and user ratings, and ordinal logistic regression was used to assess the relationship between app characteristics and user downloads. Results The analyses of user ratings and downloads included 421 and 213 apps, respectively. The average user rating was 3.79 out of 5. Compared with the Apple App Store, the Google Play Store was associated with high user ratings (beta=.33; P=.005). Apps with higher standardized user ratings (beta=.80; P<.001), in-app purchases (beta=1.12; P=.002), and in-app advertisements (beta=.64; P=.02) were more frequently downloaded. Having a health care organization developer as part of the development team was neither associated with user ratings (beta=−.20; P=.06) nor downloads (beta=−.14; P=.63). Conclusions A majority of MIH apps are developed by non–health care organizations, which could raise concern about the accuracy and trustworthiness of in-app information. These findings could benefit app developers in designing better apps and could help inform marketing and development strategies. Further work is needed to evaluate the clinical accuracy of information provided within the apps.

GIVING Turmeric Ointment MAY REDUCE STRIAE GRAVIDARUM IN THE PUPERATIVE MOTHER Background:Striaegravidarum is a sign or stretch that occurs on the skin of 50% to 90% of women during the second half of pregnancy. Nearly half of women experience stretching of the skin, especially in the abdomen, as a result of increasing gestational age.The presence of striae gravidarum causes a lack of self-confidence in the post-partum mother, so this makes the postpartum mother have to undergo medication and even surgery to restore her skin to the state before she was pregnant. The purpose: of this study was to determine the effect of turmeric ointment in reducing Striaegravidarum in postpartum mothers at the Hj. DewiSesmeraS.Tr.Keb Aluminum IV TanjungMulia Medan in 2020.Methods: This study used a Quasy Experiment Design (Quasi-Experimental Design) using a One Group Pretest-Postest Design. The population and sample in this study were all postpartum mothers with 15 people. This study used Porposive sampling technique with univariate and bivariate analysis with T Test. Results: the research obtained from data analysis with the Wilcoxon test showed that post-partum mothers could conclude pre-test and post-test giving turmeric ointment. The results in the table show that the P-Value (0.001) <α 0.05 then Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted, which means that there is an effect of pre-test and post-test on the administration of turmeric ointment in reducing striaegravidarum. Conclusion: This study shows that there is an effect of turmeric ointment in reducing striaegravidarum. Suggestions for the clinic mother Hj. Dewi Sesmera so that mothers can advise postpartum mothers to make their own products with ingredients derived from traditional turmeric in reducing striaegravivarum. Keywords: Key words: Turmeric ointment, Striae gravidarum, postpartum mother

Objective: The self-care ability of puerpera is poor, and their health knowledge of maternal and infant and care skills is relatively poor. The aim of our study was to investigate the effect of health information integration based on network platform in the postpartum maternal and infant health care. Methods: A total of 80 maternal women admitted to our hospital from September 2018 to March 2019 were randomly divided into a control group and a study group, with 40 patients in each group. The puerpera in control group received regular telephone visits after discharge. The puerpera in study group received health information integration based on network platform. The uterus recovery of puerpera in two groups at 42 days postpartum, as well as the lochia, bloating, nipple splitting and breastfeeding behaviors were compared. The time of jaundice regression and umbilical cord detachment of neonates in t two groups, as well as the incidence of facial eczema and umbilical inflammation were compared. Results: The uterus recovery rate and exclusive breastfeeding rate of puerpera in study group were higher than those in the control group at 42 days postpartum, and the incidences of abnormal lochia, swollen breasts, and nipple splitting were lower than those in the control group. The difference between the two groups was statistically significant (P < 0.05). The neonates in study group were lower than the observation group in terms of the days of jaundice regression, facial eczema, and umbilical inflammation. The difference between the two groups was statistically significant (P < 0.05). However, there was no significant difference in the days of umbilical cord shedding (P > 0.05). Conclusions: The health information integration based on network platform in postpartum maternal and infant health care can effectively improve maternal breastfeeding compliance and reduce the adverse symptoms of maternal and neonatal discharge.
