The increasing challenges of enhancing public health for communities and managing stressful daily life style raised the call for finding new methods to reduce stress. The research problem is the lack of sufficient data investigating the impact of different characteristics and forms of gardens in terms of stress reduction and restoration benefits. Therefore, the aim of this study is identifying the restorative effects of biophilic design elements in Egyptian gardens. It investigates the main indicators for applying biophilic urbanism in different gardens and how to enhance it to achieve stress restoration for communities. The presented study followed a methodology that comprises three parts. First an integrative literature review for biophilic urbanism and biophilia application to achieve restorative design. Then identifying the likely relationship between biophilia and restorativeness. Finally, a case study research design approach for selected Egyptian gardens which are analysed in reference to concluded relationship and perceived restorativenss. The work points out the potential and effective incorporation of applying biophilic principles in Egypt to achieve stress restoration.

The study aims to describe and identify aspects during the thesis writing process. This study uses a qualitative approach with the type of case study research on alumni of the Library and Information Science Study Program Universitas Brawijaya. Then the selection of alumni as informants considers the impact after writing the thesis is completed. The results showed that the reflection of alumni there is a learning process in each stage of thesis writing. The learning process that occurs is quite complex because it is not only done independently but also involves other parties. Independent learning focuses on the process of applying information literacy skills possessed by alumni. Where there is an information management process which is the most important part, because the process affects the decision making for each action. Meanwhile, the involvement of other parties is another role of the thesis as a forum for collaborative learning. Not only that, the whole process forms a new understanding that can be useful across generations.Keywords: Thesis, Reflection, Information Literacy, Knowledge Sharing Practice, Collaborative LearningABSTRAKRefleksi pengalaman alumni merupakan kajian yang bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dan mengidentifikasi aspek-aspek selama proses penulisan skripsi. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian studi kasus pada alumni Program Studi Ilmu Perpustakaan dan Informasi Universitas Brawijaya. Kemudian pemilihan alumni sebagai informan mempertimbangkan dampak yang ditimbulkan pasca penulisan skripsi selesai. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa refleksi alumni terdapat proses pembelajaran dalam setiap tahapan penulisan skripsi. Proses pembelajaran yang terjadi tergolong kompleks karena tidak hanya dilakukan mandiri tetapi juga melibatkan pihak lain. Pembelajaran secara mandiri menitikberatkan pada proses penerapan kemampuan literasi informasi yang dimiliki oleh alumni. Dimana terdapat proses pengelolaan informasi yang merupakan bagian terpenting, karena proses tersebut berpengaruh pada penentuan keputusan untuk setiap tindakan. Sedangkan untuk pelibatan pihak lain merupakan peran lain dari skripsi sebagai wadah kolaborasi pembelajaran. Tidak hanya itu, secara menyeluruh proses tersebut membentuk pemahaman baru yang dapat bermanfaat lintas generasi.

The central point of this paper is to present the results of comparative case study research concerning the impact of the interplay between formal and informal institutions in the corporate governance systems (CGS) of Central and Eastern European Countries (CEEC). Particular focus was put on the values of the corporate governance codes (CGC) of CEECs, as well as on transparent ownership structures, transactions with related parties, the protection of minority shareholders, independent members of supervisory boards, and separation between the CEO position and the chairman of the board of directors. The main subject of interest concerns two research areas: the character of the relationship between formal and informal institutions, as well as whether the interplay between them is relevant to the CGSs of CEECs. Moreover, the author investigates whether the CGCs of CEECs consist of regulations that are compatible with the values set up in preambles using research methods such as individual case study or deductive reasoning. The conclusion presented in the paper was drawn on the basis of a review of the literature and research on national and European corporate governance regulations, as well as the CGC of CEECs. The primary contribution this article makes is to advance the stream of research beyond any single country setting, and to link the literature on the interplay between formal and informal institutions related to CGSs in a broad range of economies in transition (‘catch up’ countries) like CEECs. This paper provides an understanding of how the interplay between formal and informal institutions may influence the CGCs of CEECs.

This study aims to analyze the increasing potential for poverty in the city of Palangka Raya from the perspective of SMIs due to the impact of the 19th COVID pandemic. The data was obtained based on the results of in-depth interviews from February to April 2020 with 10 SMIs and supported from secondary data from the Central Statistics Agency. The data is processed based on qualitative research principles based on the type of case study research. In the results of this study it was found that the SMIs experienced a very detrimental impact in terms of sales and marketing of products so that employees who come to work are terminated indefinitely, in this connection it appears that there is potential increases in poverty that can occur in the future come.

The study focused on identifying the effect of competition effort on the level of vital capacity of young football players according to their playing centers. The researchers selected their sample from the (82) Fallujah clubs, the Golan club and the youth football stamina club, which numbered (82). The research problem focused on the lack of clarity of vision in identifying  The level of respiratory competence represented by the vital capacity of young football players according to their playing centers. The study aimed to know the immediate effect of competition effort on the level of vital capacity of young football players and to identify the level of that variable according to the centers of playing football.  For young football players and the existence of differences in the results of the post-test in the level of vital capacity of young players according to the centers of playing football. The researchers used the descriptive approach (case study) and conducted their pre and post tests according to the scientific foundations. The researchers concluded that the match effort has an effect on the level of vital capacity for all  Players are in different playing lines and that effect on the level of vital capacity was varied according to  The lines of play and the lines most affected was the midfield, followed by the defense line, then the offensive line and finally the goalkeepers. The researchers recommended that additional studies be conducted to know the effect of the match effort on other variables of the respiratory system and other functional devices and to conduct other studies to find out the effect of competition effort on other groups such as juniors and   advanced.

In this chapter, the Success Factors (SFs) for IT Outsourcing (ITO) are explored. The research literature has a bias towards large companies, neglecting medium-sized companies. Moreover, no comparative studies regarding the SFs were found related to the size of companies. These circumstances force medium-sized buyers to turn to practitioner literature, which is dominated by guidelines produced by the providers. Therefore, this chapter identifies the research problem: the lack of knowledge about ITO SFs for medium size companies, including whether SFs for large companies, are applicable for medium-sized ones as well. The used case study research shows that medium-sized companies should use the SFs from large companies. However, 2 out of 11 studied SFs have better efficiency for large companies. This result helps medium-sized companies' ITO decision makers understand the SFs of ITO and thus closes the research gap. Implementing the right SFs should improve the ITO performance.

The study explores the impact of participatory systems on information quality using Abu Dhabi as a case study. Participatory systems are used for deciding social change to affect residents and citizens positively. The case study research method was used to examine information quality in a participatory system. Content of the participatory system was assessed for information quality and it was found to support theoretical claims that Abu Dhabi residents and citizens participate in building sustainable competition using participatory systems. The limitations of the study are found in its focus on a single application, the app CityGuard. Through examining the use of CityGuard, specific issues were recognized which allowed the definition of steps on how its use could impact social change more positively. This paper presents findings from the use of CityGuard as a public participatory tool.

A case study research was conducted with a view to assess the impact of five factors such as man, machine, material, money, and safety on productivity. The scope of this study was limited only to small metal workshops, which produces customized independent products. 18 case studies were performed based on selected workshops of different categories (welding shops, repair shops, sheet metal shops). Total Productivity Model (TPM) has been used as the theoretical base of the research model. It has been identified that insufficiency of skilled workers, improper utilization of materials, inefficient inventory control, ineffective safety package etc., are the most critical obstacles to productivity improvement in terms of product and material and hence to the overall productivity improvement of the organization as a whole. Some productivity improvement strategies made on the basis of the observations and analysis are also included in this paper. The purpose of this investigation was to evaluate the impact of including a student who uses a wheelchair and is given no direct support in a 4th grade general physical education (GPE) class on students without disabilities. Using an evaluate case study research method, data were collected in the beginning and end of a 2-week GPE volleyball unit from 2 intact elementary school classes using 2 attitude inventories, volleyball skills, and knowledge test. Results indicated no significant class difference in volleyball skill and knowledge acquisitions. Overall, attitudes toward including a student with a disability tended to be positive in both classes. In addition, there was no significant time difference within the classes on either attitude inventory.

The aims of this research were identify: 1) The types of code switching, 2) Find out the factors influence the teachers to switch English into Indonesian or the opposite, 3) Analyze the impact of teacher’s code switching for the students. This research was held on SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Ponorogo. The research design was qualitative research especially case study. Research used observation and interview as the data collection technique in this research. To analyze the data the writer transcribing interviewing, scanning material, typing up field notes, coding process, making qualitative narrative, and making interpretation the data. Based on finding, the types of code switching which was used by English teacher at SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Ponorogo include tag code switching, inter sentential code switching, and intra sentential code switching with different quantities. The factor influence teachers to conducted switch English to Indonesian such as the students understanding was the big factor and the students characteristic were different, they had not same ability in English. Finally, the researcher proposed suggestion to the teachers to maintain using code switching during teaching and learning English in classroom, but continue to prioritize English as the primary. They could switch Bahasa Indonesia, but when used for certain purposes only.

Feedback is a powerful tool that has a significant influence on student success. Its meaningful impact on learning and teaching processes has been well-documented. However, there is minimal research concerning the impact of feedback strategies on foreign language learning. This article seeks to provide a theoretical and practical understanding of the impact of feedback on foreign language teaching and learning processes. This is done through a case study research conducted in a private institution in Bogotá, Colombia. The evidence demonstrates that the feedback strategies used and the manner in which they are administered influence their effectiveness. Three main strategies were observed and analyzed: corrective, motivational, and developmental. This article concludes with a suggestion to make feedback an explicit policy of teachers’ education programs in the country.
