Learning that encourages the development of students’ creative thinking needs to be maximized since the level of primary education, including in the disadvantaged, outermost, and frontier regions that is referred to 3T areas (terdepan, terluar, tertinggal) in Indonesia is still categorized as underdeveloped that requires special attention. The main objective of this research was to diagnose students’ creative thinking skills for four components including fluency, flexibility, originality, and elaboration on students in the islands. The study was conducted on 161 students sitting in fourth grade from 6 elementary schools. The unique thing why this research was conducted because the research location was one of the Maluku Islands, which has abundant sea, air and land in terms of natural resources and is one of the areas that borders directly with Australia, so it can be predicted students’ creative thinking skills will be good. However, the analysis results report that students’ creative thinking skills were still very low and thus require comprehensive learning improvement to improve students’ creative thinking skills. It was hoped that good creative thinking skills of students will support better regional development in the future.

One of the 2013 curriculum transformation elements in elementary schools is strengthening the learning process and familiarizing the development of higher-order thinking skills (HOTS) for students.  This needs to be supported by teaching materials to support HOTS-based learning.This research aims to analyze the need for HOTS-based mathematics teaching materials in elementary schools. This research uses a descriptive approach. The subjects of this research were fourth-grade students of public elentary school in Tunjungan Blora area. The data collected in this research uses observation sheets, interviews, and document studies. Observations and interviews were carried out to teachers and fourth-grade students. Otherwise, the document studies were carried out on learning resources used in mathematics learning. The validity test data was conducted by using triangulation techniques. The results showed that:  first, the characteristics of mathematics teaching materials used in elementary schools of Blora Regency have not described the HOTS material. Second, the need for teachers shows that the problems faced by teachers in learning mathematics have limited learning resources. Third, the student's need toward teaching material products is shown by the low interest of students in learning mathematics. Fourth, students have not been invited to think critically in learning mathematics.

The article analyzes the current stage of foreign language study in higher educational establishments. Student interaction and collaboration are considered as essential elements in the development of communication skills. Principal approaches to the definition of collaborative learning are analyzed in the article.The author analyzes advantages of collaborative learning in the process of foreign language study, including development of students’ communicative abilities and active participation in the learning process, fostering learners’ autonomy and creative thinking skills, development of students’ self-learning and cooperation abilities.A detailed description of collaborative learning activities in the process of teaching English to non-linguistic students is presented in the article.  The purpose of this study was to describe the creative thinking profile of students in solving multiples and number factors for class V SDN Rejosari 1, Magetan Regency. The approach used in this study is a qualitative approach that seeks to analyze the profile for students' thinking in completing operations on integers. The research subjects were fifth grade students of SDN Kawedanan 2, Magetan Regency. The technique of determining the subject with the subject who chose 6. Interview data techniques in the form of tests and interviews. Data analysis techniques are performed by data reduction, data presentation and levers or levers. The data validity technique was done by triangulating data sources. The results showed that the profiles of elementary school students' creative thinking in completing multiples and number factors in fluent thinking skills research provided a lot of information in solving problems with sufficient ability. In flexible thinking skills, there are different ways to solve problems with sufficient ability. In the illumination stage, finding new concepts or new ideas to solve problems with less abilities. In the understanding step, finding and compiling elementary students' problems in fluent thinking skills, namely sparking many ideas in solving problems with sufficient ability and in thinking skills, namely different thinking difficulties to solve problems with sufficient ability In the problem planning step and developing problem-solving strategies for elementary students on fluent thinking skills, namely sparking many ideas in solving problems with sufficient ability, on different thinking skills to solve problems with sufficient tendencies, and at the illumination stage, finding new concepts. or new ideas to solve the problem are less likely to be.

This study aimed to describe the creative thinking abilities of students in science lessons, describe the obstacles faced by teachers in improving the thinking skills of fourth grade in elementary school No. 2 Pemaron Buleleng and describe the efforts of teachers in improving the thinking skills of fourth grade in elementary school No. 2 Pemaron Buleleng. This type of research is qualitative descriptive. The subjects were students of class IV and science teachers, while the object of this study is the ability to think creatively IPA on students. Results of this study are as much as 46.45% of students scored below average including medium category. Results of the indicator analysis shows that original thinking is an indicator with the highest percentage of the total percentage of 84.17% of the indicators of current thinking, thinking elaborative and indicators to think flexibly. Constraints faced in the ability to think creatively is the interest of students is still low, inadequate facilities, lack of utilization of the environment as a source of learning, learning methods that are less attractive and less parental supervision of their children's learning activities. Efforts are being made to improve the ability to think creatively IPA, among others, teachers use a more varied learning methods and implement learning activities more interesting and fun as more invites students to conduct experiments in the classroom or outside the classroom.

Traditional art as a guarantee for the preservation of national foundations of the society, opposing its teaching potential to the crises of contemporary society and popular culture which contributes to the targeted person through the "language" of human emotions, the complexity and subtlety of expression, which is directly connected with the development of students’ creative thinking skills. Until now, there has been no holistic view of traditional art as a factor in the development of students’ creative thinking skills. The identification of potential of traditional art in the students’ creative thinking skills development will create preconditions for further development of vocational and personal problems of the teacher's personality, who is able to examine and learn new information and adopt unconventional creative solutions, conceptual and factual understanding of the problem, undoubtedly, enrich pedagogical science with new knowledge of the essential characteristics of forms and methods of using the traditional art as a a major factor in the development of students’ creative thinking skills.

Abstract The aim of this study, accordingly, is to determine the relation between creativity and theory of mind skills of children aged 5-11 (Ns:117) who continue Primary Education in rural areas and to reveal the relation between the sub-dimensions of these abilities. At the end of the study, it was found that there was a significant and positive relation between the total creativity score and the sub-dimensions of theory of mind. It was found that there was a significant and positive relation between all sub-dimensions of creativity and theory of mind. The total creativity score and the scores of the sub-dimensions of creativity (fluency, originality, and elaboration) were significant but weak predictors of theory of mind tasks.
