Practicum based learning is required to provide opportunities for students in finding and applying concepts by observation. Student worksheet with discovery learning model and equipped with AR video are needed as learning tool, so students will be able to have good work in laboratory and implementation of practicum is effective. This study aims to produce LKPD and AR media that is videos related to the topic of practicum. The method used in this study is a research and development method with the Dick and Carey model approach. The feasibility test was carried out on the product using a Likert scale instrument. Feasibility test on material experts obtained a score of 96.93%, on media experts at 89.95%, on learning experts at 81% and obtained an average score of 89.29% with a very proper interpretation. Next, a user trial was conducted on the product with respondents, which are at SMAN 54 Jakarta. Trials on teachers obtained a score of 97.61%, and trials on students obtained a score of 88.47%. The limited trials is done by doing pre-test and post-test on students. Limited trial results obtained an average n-gain score of 0.47. Based on the results of the feasibility test, user trials, and limited trials, it can be concluded that the developed student worksheet is very suitable to be used as a learning tool in physics practicum activities in senior high school at 10th grade.

This research aims to improve senior high school students’ physics problem-solving skills through learning used IBMR learning model. This research was a pre-an experimental study with a one-group pre-test and post-test design. The Methods of data collection used validation and test. The materials used to teach were valid category by two experts and can be used to practice physics problem-solving skills. The average post-test score physics problem-solving ability was 73.24 with an N-gain of 0.59 was classified as moderate. The success of IBMR learning model-based devices in practicing problem-solving abilities can be seen in the increase in the average score in each indicator of problem-solving abilities. The indicator of understanding the problem had the highest post-test average score of 94.58 with an N-gain of 0.89 in the high category. The problem-solving indicator had the lowest posttest average score was 58.22 with N-gain 0.39 and mean that it was the moderate category. Based on the results study, it can be concluded that the learning used by IBMR learning model can practice the ability to solve physics problems on heat material and its displacement. Learning with the IBMR learning model was expected to train students in solving physics problems. The stages in the IBMR learning model can help students

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of learning Arabic in improving learning outcomes by using Al-Thariqah Al-Intiqaiyyah in tenth class of science major at Islamic Senior High School 3 Jombang. This study used a quasi-experimental method with a non-equivalent control group pre-test post-test design. The population in this study were all tenth classes of science major at Islamic Senior High School 3 Jombang while the sample was tenth class of science major 8 as a control class and tenth class of science major 6 as an experimental class. Data were analyzed descriptively and inferentially.  From the test data, it can be seen that the average outcomes of the experimental class and the control class has increased. The average pre-test score of the control class was 55.25 and the average post-test score was 79.25 while the average pre-test score of the experimental class was 55.25 and the average post-test score was 87. Based on the results of the SPSS 16.0 analysis, sig values were obtained. (2-tailed) of the experimental class and the control class post-test was 0.00 which means less than 0.05. So it can be concluded that H1 is accepted then there is a significant difference between the experimental class post-test and the control class post-test. H1 acceptance proves that Al-Thariqah Al-Intiqaiyyah was effective in improving Arabic learning outcomes in tenth class of science major at Islamic Senior High School 3 Jombang.

The study aims at investigating the use of think-aloud strategy on eleventh grade students in senior high school. The students are randomly assign to two groups: students in experimental group use think-aloud strategy as their reading strategies in narrative and informative English texts; whereas, students in the control group use regular reading intruction. It is expected that eleventh grade studens in senior high school who apply think-aloud strategy show better reading comprehension than students who do not apply the same strategy. The total of sample in this study are 20 students in the second semester. The study uses experimental as the research approach. The researcher employs pre-test , post test. The tests are made based on a chart that explains the types of comprehension questions developed by Day and Park (2005) which is related to the effort in improving the student’ reading comprehension. The researcher finds that there is a significant relationship between the use of think aloud and overall reading comprehension, inference, prediction, evaluation and personal response comprehension. In addition, the result of the analysis of the pre and post-test scores shows that there is a significant improvement in the students post-test scores in comparison with pre-test scores.

The study aims to analyze the effect of the fish diversity book in Kampar District on the learning motivation and obstacles of Kampar High School students through online learning during the COVID-19 period. This type of research is a quasi-experimental study with research subjects in class XI SMA Kampar (Kampar High School). In its implementation, students were given a motivational questionnaire in the beginning, after that they were given the task of studying the types of fish in Kampar through the book files of fish diversity in Kampar District through online learning. After online learning, the post-test was given using a questionnaire evaluation of the motivation and online learning obstacles questionnaire. Parameters: learning motivation with five indicators, ten indicators of online obstacles. Motivation data collection using pre-test and post-test. Data is presented and analyzed descriptively. The results obtained an average score of post-test student learning motivation (77.7) increased compared to before studying diversity book (65.9) with an N-gain index of 0.34, 74% of respondents said online learning was more effective, 50% of respondents stated the ordinary school is better than online learning. The implementation of fish species diversity books through online learning is effective in increasing student learning motivation, but it is less effective in motivating desires, appreciation, and not being attractive enough. The obstacles of online learning at Kampar High School include internet network facilities and field practicum during the COVID-19 period.

Pembelajaran matematika tidak hanya sekedar pembelajaran untuk mengembangkan kemampuan berhitung tetapi pembelajaran yang mengembangkan kemampuan berfikir matematika secara logis, sesuai dengan konsep matematika yang sistematis dengan melibatkan lingkungan siswa. Keterampilan berpikir kreatif dan kemampuan komunikasi merupakan dua aspek kemampuan yang harus dimiliki oleh peserta didik disamping keterampilan afektif.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pembelajaran berbasis masalah (problem-based learning) terhadap keterampilan berpikir kreatif dan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan kuasi eksperimen dengan desain pre-test dan post-test. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari 50 siswa SMA. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan mengadakan pre-test dan post-test serta pemberian angket. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan rubrik berpikir kreatif dan komunikasi matematis, kemudian diolah lebih lanjut dengan uji statistik. Hasil penelitian mengungkapkan bahwa pembelajaran berbasis masalah dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif dan komunikasi matematis siswa lebih baik daripada pendekatan pembelajaran konvensional. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini menunjukkanbahwa strategi pembelajaran memiliki peran penting dalam pengembangan kreativitas dan komunikasi matematis siswa.

<p>This study focused on the implementation of using authentic materials in improving the students’ speaking competence in a bilingual boarding of high school in Central Java. The goals of this study are, (1) to describe whether the use authentic materials can improve the students’ speaking competence in class, (2) to reveal the difficulties of using authentic materials in this research. I adopted Classroom Action Research (CAR) which requires four steps, namely planning, implementing, observing, and reflecting. The participants are 26 high school students. The methods of data collection are observation, diary, interview, photograph, pre-test, and post-test. In analyzing data I used (1) constant comparative technique by Burns (1999) (qualitative), (2) descriptive statistic technique (quantitative). After analyzing the data, I found out that the change in improvement of the students’ speaking in class is seen clearly and all the responses from the students are positive. The average score of the students` speaking skill increased from 63.46 to 79.80.</p><p align="left"> </p>

This study evaluated The Differential Effects of Algorithm and Proportional Reasoning Approaches on Senior High School Students’ Understanding of Titrimetric Analysis in Berekum Presbyterian Senior High School in the Brong Ahafo Region. The target population was the science students in the school. The accessible population consisted of science one and science two final year elective chemistry students. Quasi-experimental design was used for this study. In this design the researcher used a questionnaire and test to solicit information on students’ understanding on the Effects of Proportional and Algorithm Reasoning Approaches. Purposive sampling technique was used to select 30 students for the research. Science A students formed the experimental group and were taught using algorithm approach while the science B students comprised the control group and were taught using the proportional reasoning approach. There was no interaction between the control group and the experimental group. Difference in performance in pre-test and post-test, the analysis of the study imply that students exposed to algorithm instructional approach to the teaching and learning in titrimetric analysis performed statistically better at significant level (p-value = 0.000 at a=0.05). Students in the experimental group (algorithm approach) performance were better in post-test than the post-test of students in the control group (proportional reasoning). The Hake Gain was then used to calculate for students understanding in titrimetric analysis using algorithm instructional approach in teaching and learning of titrimetric analysis. The gain 0.46 (SD = 0.132) achieved fell within the range i.e. 0.36< 〈 g〉 <0.68 meaning that students understood the titrimetric analysis after they were exposed to algorithm instructional approach. The results of the study imply that students exposed to algorithm instructional approach to the teaching and learning in titrimetric analysis performed significantly better than proportional instructional approach Keywords: algorithm approach, stoichiometry, proportional instructional approach, titration.

Abstract This research is aimed to develop knowledge enrichment book about tornado as a physics learning resource, especially to Bassed Competence 3.7 Class XI, namely Applying the principle of fluid dynamics in technology. The method applied in this research is the Development Research referring to the Dick and Carey model. Steps that was done are survey in eight high school, two well-known bookstore in Jakarta, online bookstore, and Pusat Kurikulum dan Perbukuan (Puskurbuk). The survey results show there is knowledge enrichment book is presented with more focus on the disaster that is less scientific and less deep because only limited discuss section. Referring to the results of the survey and quality standards enrichment books, knowledge enrichment book is written by discuss mainly the physical quantities of gas flow especially pressure gradient, the events and the physical concept of tornado, to disaster mitigation. Based on results of the readability test to high school students is obtained a mean score of materials component is 92,5%, 88,5% for presentation, 84,17% for language, and 85,62% for graphics. Score 87,5% stated that the material in the book is easy to understand and 82,5% stated that the presentation materials may be motivated to dig up more information. Based on results of readability test, thin book obtaine excellent overall interpretation. Based on the results of the feasibility test, gets an average score of 81,05, showing knowledge enrichment book "Kajian Fisis Peristiwa Angin Puting Beliung" decent with a good rating. Keywords: knowledge enrichment book, tornado, pressure, air flow Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan buku pengayaan pengetahuan angin puting beliung sebagai sumber belajar fisika terutama untuk Kompetensi Dasar (KD) 3.7 Kelas XI, yaitu Menerapkan prinsip fluida dinamik dalam teknologi. Metode yang diterapkan yaitu Penelitian Pengembangan yang mengacu pendapat Dick dan Carey. Langkah yang sudah  dilakukan yaitu survei di delapan SMA, dua toko buku terkenal di Jakarta, toko buku online, dan Pusat Kurikulum dan Perbukuan (Puskurbuk). Hasil survei menunjukkan sajian buku pengayaan terkait angin puting beliung yang ada lebih fokus pada bencana sehingga kurang ilmiah dan kurang mendalam karena hanya sebatas dalam satu subbab. Mengacu pada hasil survei dan standar kualitas buku pengayaan, ditulis buku pengayaan pengetahuan yang membahas besaran fisis aliran gas terutama gradien tekanan, peristiwa dan konsep fisis terjadinya angin puting beliung, hingga mitigasi bencana. Berdasarkan hasil uji keterbacaan kepada siswa SMA diperoleh rerata skor komponen materi 92,5%, penyajian 88,5%, bahasa 84,17%, dan grafika 85,62%. Skor 87,5% menyatakan materi pada buku mudah dipahami dan 82,5% menyatakan penyajian materi dapat memotivasi untuk menggali informasi lebih lanjut. Dari hasil uji keterbacaan, buku ini memperoleh interpretasi keseluruhan sangat baik. Berdasarkan hasil uji kelayakan diperoleh rata-rata skor 81,05, menunjukkan buku pengayaan pengetahuan “Kajian Fisis Peristiwa Angin Puting Beliung” layak dengan predikat baik. This study is aimed to determine the effectiveness of predict observe explain (POE) model with PhET to improve  critical thinking skills of senior high school students. The sample used was the grade eleven students of SMA N 18 Surabaya consist of 60 students. This type of research was pre-experimental with one group pre-test post-test design. Research data is obtained from the result of pre-test and post-test of  students' critical thinking skills and responses after learning activity. Data analysis techniques used N-gain and Wilcoxon test. The result of the study shows that the score of students' critical thinking skills in grade eleven of Group 1 and Group 2 increase after the implementation of predict observe explain (POE) learning model with PhET and both of them present positive responses to the learning component and show a good interest. Based on the data analysis result, it can be concluded that predict observe explain (POE) model with PhET is effective to use to improve the critical thinking skills of senior high school students.

Lack of awareness and limited information about the dangers of e-cigarettes among teenagers, especially high school students, make them assume that e-cigarettes are a safe alternative to reduce smoking habit. This can be circumvented through the development of teaching materials that are tailored to the needs of students. This study aims to develop teaching materials about the negative effects of e-cigarettes as a source of learning for high school students and analyze their validity, readability, and feasibility. This development research uses the plot of Thiagarajan et al., (1974), namely 4-D (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate). The subjects of this research include material & media experts, students of class XI MIPA 3 and XI MIPA 4 SMAN 12 Semarang, and teachers who are members of senior high school biology teachers forum in Rembang Regency. The results showed the validation scores of material and media experts were 83% and 97.7%, respectively, with very valid criteria. Analysis of the readability of teaching materials from the results of student responses and the cloze test, respectively obtained an average score of 86.2% and 84% with very good and independent criteria. Analysis of the feasibility of teaching materials from the results of teacher responses at the senior high school biology teachers forum in Rembang, obtained an average score of 83.7% with very feasible criteria. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that teaching materials about the negative effects of e-cigarettes are valid, it has good readability, and feasible to use as a source of learning for high school students. The teaching material is expected to be able to add insight and knowledge about the negative effects of e-cigarette exposure and to contribute better in improving the quality of learning resources.
