Tourism Motivational Factors in Bhutan

The concept of tourism has become one of the vital issues of economic and social benefits to the society. This present study identifies different motivational factors which may directly or indirectly influence the tourists' motivation. The primary objective of this study includes the growth, development and emergence of tourism potentials at Bhutan, in particular, as well as to analyze the tourist flow pattern and also examine the existing and future requirement in the motivational point of view. The major findings of this study show, in the present scenario of the above factors, how to attract more tourists for repeat visit and promoting infrastructural requirement for better tourism service to increase the level of tourists' motivation as well. In the policy implication point of view this study is relevant for balancing the demand and supply of tourism motivational requirement indicators which can offer better service excellence in the study area.

For fulfillment of the basic objective, data for the study were collected through field survey. The sample size was restricted to 200 respondents. Information gathered about tourists' motivational factors include culture, tourism amenities, destination, and religion. The collected data have been analyzed using different statistical methods like percentage and Chi-square. The major findings of this study show, in the present scenario of above factors, how to attract more tourists for repeat visits and promote infrastructural requirement for better tourism service to increase the level of tourists' motivation as well. In the policy implication point of view, this study is relevant for balancing the demand and supply of tourism motivational requirement indicators, which can offer better service excellence in the study area.

This study identifies the problems and prospects of rural tourism in the state of West Bengal. The primary objectives of this study include an exploration of the development and emergence of rural tourism in the state of West Bengal, analysis of the tourism gap at Bishnupur, examination of the existing as well as future requirement of tourism infrastructure of Bishnupur, and the promotion and marketing of Bishnupur as an important rural tourism destination in Indian Scenario. For the fulfillment of the basic objectives, data for the study were collected through field survey. Information about the profile of tourism industry includes hotels, guest houses, number of rooms, number of persons employed, etc., as well as the profile of the tourists. The collected data has been analyzed using different statistical methods, Wilcoxon Pair Ranked Model used for Gap analysis. This study indicates how to develop and upgrade the rural tourism destinations by proper utilization of tourism infrastructural amenities in the area as well as active participation by public private initiatives and local resource utilization. This study is relevant for balancing the demand and supply of tourism infrastructural requirement indicators, which can offer service excellence.

Marketing plays a vital role to develop the tourism and encourage the tourists to visit the destination and involve the people to enhance their socio economic condition as well. The purpose of this study is to explore three research questions about marketing strategies, about marketing tools and integrated promotional strategies in general and in this particular destination. This study aims to analyze with the help of a questionnaire of 150 respondents. This present study concentrates on impact of 7Ps on Tourists satisfaction. Collected data has analyzed by regression model. There is a great scope of tourism because every village has unique art, culture, folklore, heritage, and lifestyle and so on. Due to lack of proper marketing practices, tourism has facing different problems to pursue parallel with the main stream entrepreneurs. This study is relevant for balancing the demand and supply of tourism motivational requirement indicators which can offer better tourism service excellence in Bishnupur. It will also play a vital role in terms of the policy implication and to analyze the impact for attaining sustainable tourism development in Bishnupur.

This chapter studies the application of information technology in tourism promotion, particularly through Internet. In the context of tourism management, this chapter penetrates different usage of Web technology to disseminate maximum level of information for tourism promotion. This chapter is designed to determine the conditions of Websites as well as application of different application of Web technology like Virtual Reality (VR), CRS, etc. used in tourism promotion to identify the obstacles faced in this type of promotion via Web. The chapter adopts a survey from 200 respondents. Collected data is analyzed through different statistical tools like correlation analysis, simple average method, and Cronbach Alfa for reliability of the data. The results show that tourism promotion through the Web helps to increase competition as well as tourism demand if Web design helps to disseminate information about the tourism offers to the tourists' desire. Both sexes consider the Website design as a means helps to ensure the information veracity of tourism offers. The chapter recommends continuing development of the role of tourism promotion through the Internet in spreading information about tourism offers, so as to achieve the greatest possible benefits. This study also indicates how to develop and upgrade Web for promotion of tourism information and offer better tourism service excellence, while promoting less popular tourist spots.
