Public bus transportation has become an integral part of society, but the disrup-tion of bus services is one of the major concerns. This project presents the devel-opment of Smart Bus Transportation using Augmented Reality (TRANSPAR) that was developed on a mobile application. One of the major issues with public transportation is on real-time responsiveness. Most bus schedules are presented online but customers still faced many failures. Some bus schedules are not updat-ed when changes happened through time. Some existing bus schedules system is fixed to the bus stations. This research is to identify the bus schedules and its routes characteristics. A 3D AR animation based on identified characteristics was designed using the Unity 3D image marker detection on a mobile Android plat-form. A smartphone application was developed using Vuforia and Google Fire-base. TRANSPAR shows an AR mobile application for acquiring the bus time-tables. The phone camera is applied for marker image detection and scanning the bus station’s images. AR and normal image scanner were designed. Google Fire-base Database is used to retrieve and store each timetable data for every bus sta-tion. Analysis of interactivity and benefits of TRANSPAR shows about 90% agreed on the use of AR and more than 76% agreed on its functionality based on 50 taken samples. This shows a positive impact on the designed TRANSPAR. The research is significant to encourage and experience the public with new tech-nological application for public transportation and it impact the society.

The Fuji apple variety is relatively new in the U.S. As a new product, questions concern the relative impact of consumer learning by experience, by variety-specific promotion, or by generic apple promotion. A two-stage (LES/LAIDS) model incorporating both types of promotion is used to estimate the effect of generic and variety specific promotion, as well as consumer experience, on the demand for Fuji apples. Estimates show each to have a positive impact, and also show new or specialty apple varieties to be relatively price inelastic, but income elastic. Grower returns to promotion are calculated with an equilibrium displacement model of price changes and producer surplus. Changes in producer surplus provide a base-scenario benefit:cost ratio of 6.33:1.

Some studies, focused on analysing the impact of augmented reality in interventions to people with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), are gathered, directed to stimulate their social and communicative abilities in order to favour their social interaction. A qualitative methodology is adopted in this paper as specified in the systematic revision of investigations (N=26) -through meta-analysis- published during 2012-2020 in specialized academic journals and developed in three different contexts: educative, technological and psycho-experimental. The results show that most of them are case studies. Technological studies, bound to the design and establishment of augmented reality resources in the clinical setting, are the ones that stand out. Furthermore, those associated to interventions in the educational environment incorporate augmented reality as a teaching resource in the school setting. Finally, those developed in a psycho-experimental context describe interventions with augmented reality and analyse the people’s behaviour in different fields. Unanimity is observed when it comes to highlight the positive impact these apps or augmented reality systems have to stimulate social interaction. However, interventions phases are not specified nor are accessible or commercial resources used, what restricts its extrapolation to other contexts. In conclusion, an interdisciplinary equipment which shares the discoveries concerning the benefit of people with ASD is required, arousing interventions which favour their total socio-educational inclusion.

The current paper intends to describe the practice and analyze the results of using the website Write & Improve as an additional extra-class tool of developing writing skills in the course of preparation for the FCE exam for post-graduate students. The study has proven the hypothesis that the proposed algorithm for working with the service Write & Improve is effective for teaching FCE Writing for post-graduate students, and provided the experimental research of learners’ progress. Theoretical (analysis and synthesis), empirical (observation, testing, conducting pedagogical experiment) and statistical (calculating the Mean and the Standard Deviation) methods were used to achieve the stated aim. A significant difference was observed in the experimental group of 32 Kharkiv post-graduate university students where the experiment was carried out in 2017/2018 academic year. The obtained results of the experimental research demonstrate post-graduate students’ progress in the FCE Writing Test and can be regarded as the evidence that the service Write & Improve does have a positive impact on mastering post-graduate students’ writing skills. Furthermore, comparing the test results according to 5-band scale in four different criteria (Content, Communicative Achievement, Organization, Language) at the different stages of the course allowed to measure the development rate of the checked English writing skills. The resulting data confirmed the improvement in post-graduate students’ performance in all the criteria of Writing on average by 36.1%; the most significant progress has been in Language (vocabulary and grammar aspects) with the average increase from 3.0 to 4.5 scores (50 %) whereas the least advance to be claimed is in Communicative Achievement with the results ranging from 2.8 to 3.6 (28.6%); it proves the substantial increase. Provided that Write & Improve is implemented systematically with a careful consideration of post-graduate students’ problems and needs, the application of it can be said to have the obvious correlation with post-graduate students’ progress. The authors’ experience is significant in Ukrainian learning context as it proves the effectiveness of using innovative online instruments to teach English Writing to post-graduate students who aim to pass FCE exam.

Arabic writing is an important subject that must be studied by fifth grade students at Al-Manar boarding school. However, many students were bored and less motivated to participate in the teaching learning process of the lesson. The main cause of this problem is due to the use of traditional methods in teaching. Teachers do not use media when deliver the lesson, besides there is no particular handbook. Moreover, the lack of students’ motivation is another problem faced by the teacher in teaching learning process. Some students feel bored with traditional methods used, and even some of them do not understand the meaning of words because their shortcoming in memorization and Arabic grammar skill (qawā’id). Based on the this problem, this experimental research implements picture series to develop the students’ abilities and motivations in the learning process of composing lesson. The results of this study show that the use of picture series in teaching insyā’ has positive impact in developing competency and motivation of fifth grade students at Al-Manar boarding school.
