This chapter addresses simple but effective framework for adoption factors of mobile services. The framework synthesizes, refines, and extends current approaches to explain adoption factors. The study started with a background research to identify factors determining the adoption of innovation and mobile services. Then, study is continued with a survey which had questions about two types of mobile services according to current adoption status of these services. For the first type of service, SMS had been selected as a widely used, already adopted service to seek for factors affecting consumer satisfaction. The second type of service was not currently widely adopted service in the market as opposed to already used SMS, which is called “Pocket Info&Enjoy” service in the paper. Pocket Info&Enjoy, which is information based service, had been described in the survey and asked questions to identify factors determining attitude to use this new service. Most of the findings were in line with literature, for an already adopted service, usefulness and attitude are direct factors influencing consumer satisfaction. On the other hand, usefulness and external influence are direct and personalization, image, content, mobility, entertainment are indirect determinants of consumer’s attitude towards using new mobile services.

This paper is an attempt to describe the relationship between entrepreneurship and innovation. From the discussion, it has been found that both are having bidirectional relationship with each other. Business cannot be regarded as successful enterprise unless the beneficial and useful innovation is not adopted by it at right time. On the other hand, innovation can only be successfully implemented if the entrepreneurs are efficient enough to drive it into the business in appropriate manner so that it can be useful for the business as a whole. In this paper, various factors influencing the innovation in entrepreneurship have also been elaborated. Moreover, from Indian context, some recommendations have also been made which can further encourage the adoption of innovation in an enterprise.

The paper comments on the influence of various technological factors influencing the values of elastic modulus. Today, the composition of concrete combines the classic input components with the significant use of mixed cements, active admixtures and superplasticizers in order to achieve the required compressive strength of concrete and durability while reducing costs. On the other hand, the composition of these concretes has a negative impact on the elastic modulus which are significantly lower than the values derived from compressive strength in Eurocode 2. At the end of the article is a list of measures that are a prerequisite for obtaining the required concrete elastic modulus.

This study highlights some factors that have influenced the development of academic law libraries in Nigeria. Inadequacy of local production of legal texts, exorbitant cost of the available texts, and scarcity of foreign exchange, were identified as major constraints. On the other hand, factors which have promoted the development of academic law libraries in Nigeria include the existence and use of published standards for law libraries, accreditation requirement for law faculties, book gifts and loans. Moreover, Nigeria's typical history of political instability and proliferation of states has paradoxically not been a hindrance but a catalyst for the emergence of numerous social and educational institutions including universities and academic law libraries.

AbstractThis article examines internal and external changes in the analytic expression of local relations in Early Romani. It focuses on the external influence of late Medieval Greek on Early Romani and describes how pattern replication led to the formation of complex PPs for the locative and ablative cases (cf. MATRAS & SAKEL 2007). Definiteness contributes to synthetic case stability in Romani. Representative data from all Romani dialect groups, on the other hand, show that definiteness facilitated the formation and development of Romani PPs, which is a contact-induced change towards analyticity. I investigate how the formal and pragmatic features of the Greek definite article affect the replication of analytic case marking.

SUMMARYThe lactation curve in cattle has been explained by the expression yn = Anbe-cn where yn is the average daily yield in the nth week, and A, b, and c are constants. In general, in a sample of 859 Friesian lactations recorded during 1964–65 daily yield was depressed during the winter months (18·8% in January) and stimulated during the spring (14·7% in May) to an extent which was independent of the stage of lactation. Winter calvers on the other hand tended to produce more in total lactation than spring calvers (14·5% for animals calving in November as opposed to those calving in April).Using a suitable technique it is possible to predict month by month output from a cow, or herd, accurately enough to furnish a basis for forward planning.

This research aims to identify the traditional games exist, factors influencing the existence of and describe the attendance at the traditional games in Maumere. This research took place in RT 23, Kelurahan Kota Baru, Kecamatan Alok Timur, Maumere. The subjects of this research were 5-6 years old children, their parents and some officials of RT 23. The data was collected through observation, interviews, and documentation during the research. The results indicated that segong (hopscotch), inggo (hide and seek), ban (rolling wheel) and tali merdeka (jump rope) and several seasonal games still existed as children played the games every day. The presence of people who could teach children the traditional games, the no replacement of modern games, the safety aspects of the game from parents’ perspective and the strong family-tied social life contributed to the survival of traditional games. On the other hand, the decreasing availability of land to play contributed to the extinction of traditional games among children in Maumere.

Microstructural factors that govern the plastic deformation of the long-period stacking ordered (LPSO) phase were clarified. The decrease in length of the long-axis for the plate-like shape of LPSO-phase grains increases the yield stress of the alloy in which basal slip is predominant in deformation. On the other hand, the yield stress tended to increase as the thickness of the plate-like shapes of the grains decreased for the alloy in which the formation of deformation kinks carried the strain.

Recent years have witnessed a growing interest in the mythic dimension of rabbinic thought. Much of this work emerged from debates between scholars of Jewish mysticism over the origins of kabbalistic myth. Should these origins be sought in external traditions that influenced medieval Judaism or within the rabbinic tradition? As is well known, Gershom Scholem claimed that the rabbis rejected myth in order to forge a Judaism based on rationality and law. Moshe Idel, on the other hand, argues that mythic conceptions and specifically the mythicization of Torah appear in rabbinic literature. While the medieval kabbalists elaborated and developed these ideas, they inherited a mythic worldview from the rabbis. Scholars are now increasingly likely to characterize many classical rabbinic sources as mythic. Medieval myth need not have been due to external influence, but should be seen as an internal development within Judaism. Despite the appearance of mythic thought in rabbinic literature, however, a tremendous gulf remains between rabbinic and kabbalistic myth. The full-blown theogonic and cosmogonic myths of the kabbalists, the complex divine structure of the Sefirot, and the detailed expressions of the theurgic effect of ritual (that is, the effect that specific rituals have upon God or the Sefirot) represent a mode of mythic thinking far more comprehensive than that of the rabbis. In rabbinic literature one finds mythic motifs—succinct, independent, and self–contained expressions—not fully developed myths. How exactly did rabbinic myth develop into medieval mystical myth?
