Respect is one of the central concepts in contemporary moral thought. It plays a prominent role in everyday, pre-philosophical moral thinking, as well as in recent moral theory and applied ethics. Yet basic questions about the concept and role of respect have received less attention than might be expected. This volume takes up some of these basic questions. The book is not meant to be a comprehensive handbook that covers all aspects of the topic of respect, nor is the focus of the book mainly historical. Rather, the aim is to give leading experts in the field a chance to present their latest ideas and point the research on respect in new directions. Following an introductory historical essay, Part I addresses questions of what respect is, its nature and basis. Part II examines questions in moral theory, for example what exactly ought to be respected, what role respect plays in morality, and which different types of respect are appropriate and morally significant. Part III deals with the practical application of requirements of respect. The essays in this volume will be of interest both to scholars and students working on issues of respect and to anyone interested in this central moral notion.

Organizations and people, whenever they need to, aim to fulfill their requirements with suitable products and services. The suppliers of these requirements perform a certain marketing process until the requirement is fulfilled. In this process, first the attributes of the product or service are determined. Various studies are made during the identification of these attributes. These studies are evaluated from the customer’s perspective for conformity to taste, functionality, suitability to place and culture, convenience for budget and time. The purchasing process is concluded upon the final decision of the people or organizations that see the suitability of the product to fulfill their requirements. In this context, the mobile customer tries to cover his or her requirements with the knowledge based on information obtained from the virtual environment, and reaches facts via virtual data, and the customer creates a new structure with different features. This section aims to detail the changing customer structure, the individualization and the experienced changes and considers the transformation of individuals into mobile customers. Generations who depended on products of high-technology development, which show themselves with different aspects, have also brought differences to marketing. They have both changed the production and service approach, and began to benefit from different types of products and services. In addition to other environmental conditions that affect life, human generations who change due to the effects of the means of the age should also be examined in this context.

AbstractIn this article, we discuss the importance of emotions for ethical reflection on technological developments, as well as the role that art can play in this. We review literature that argues that emotions can and should play an important role in the assessment and acceptance of technological risk and in designing morally responsible technologies. We then investigate how technologically engaged art can contribute to critical, emotional-moral reflection on technological risks. The role of art that engages with technology is unexplored territory and gives rise to many fascinating philosophical questions that have not yet been sufficiently addressed in the literature.

Mankind has undergone three scientific and technical revolutions and is now embarking on the fourth (also known as the Industrial Revolution 4.0). Globalization forces companies to review and innovate their production processes in the direction of the Industrial Revolution 4.0 – the integration of tools such as artificial intelligence, big data, cloud computing, etc. which are connected globally through digital data transmission. In spite of being in the new revolution, Vietnam is yet to utilize the achievements of the second and especially the third revolution. At the same time, it is expected that Vietnam is among the hardest hit countries due to its unreadiness in all aspects. This paper aims to (1) provide an overview of the Industrial Revolution 4.0, (ii) evaluate the influence of the revolution on Vietnam, and (iii) analyze opportunities and challenges for Vietnam's economy. A number of recommendations to develop Vietnam's economy in the near future is also provided, including: (1) Changing education and training strategies to be in line with the Industrial Revolution 4.0, especially the undergraduate education; (2) Having appropriate science and technology development strategy to increase labor productivity and build a foundation for advanced science and technology; and (3) strengthening the role of the State.
