Ngesrepbalong Village (Kendal) is considered feasible to be developed as a UNNES Assisted Village because it has various natural, social, economic, infrastructure, and institutional potentials. However, information about these potentials is still lacking. This community service activity aims to map the potential of the Ngesrepbalong Village area to be used for various interests, especially for development planning in the village. This service activity is carried out with a group-based approach (participatory mapping). The activities consist of socialization, increasing understanding and competence, implementing mapping activities, and handover mapping results. Mapping results show that the prominent potential in Ngesrepbalong Village is tourism potential. However, the problem of accessibility is one of the inhibiting factors for the development of this potential. The data and information obtained from the mapping of the potential of Ngesrepbalong Village can be used as material for consideration in preparing development plans or as the next target object for the implementation of further community service activities.

Objective - Strong economic growth is an accomplishment that is always awaited and targeted by a country or region. However, whether or not this economic growth has been in line with the reduction in poverty, the decrease in unemployed people, and the provision of many and quality jobs is still in question. Hence, the problem that needs to be investigated is whether the province of Jambi has been in inclusive economic growth and what factors are calculated and analysed for inclusion. Methodology - The method and data used are the adaptation of the main variables used by the Asian Development Bank (ADB), and the measure of the quality of economic growth is assessed from the IGI (Inclusive Growth Index). There is no previous research that scrutinized the Inclusive Growth of Jambi Province. Findings - The results show that IGI of Jambi Province has an increasing trend during the 2016 – 2020 period, although it is stagnant at a satisfactory level of progress. In relation to the level of satisfaction in 2019, it experienced growth compared to the previous year accompanied by an increase in several sub-dimensions such as the sub-dimension of productive workforce, economic infrastructure, poverty, health, education, sanitation and social protection. Meanwhile, the level of satisfaction with economic growth grew negatively, as well as the sub-dimensions of gender equality and constant income inequality. Type of Paper - Empirical Keywords: Economic Growth; IGI; Inclusive Economic; Jambi JEL Classification: O11, O4

Topical issues of analysis and modelling of financial support for development of critical infrastructure objects are considered. The processes of reproduction of the national economy are considered within the framework of the matrix of financial flows (matrix of social accounts), which integrally describes the relationship between the markets and the institutional structure of the economy, makes it possible to allocate individual processes and conduct their analysis for criticality (profitability). The toolkit of these matrixes is taken as a basis for assessing the reproduction processes and identifying their criticality. To this end, a matrix of financial flows has been prepared, which has a block structure (goods and services, production and formation of income, financial flows, budgets of institutional sectors, gross investments, external sector), and generally includes 21 accounts, determining the reproduction processes under the scheme “GDP by income categories – net savings of institutional sectors”. The criticality of economic infrastructure is proposed to be assessed as the share of reproducing (gross, net) income in the structure of GDP, as the volatility of these incomes to GDP. Modelling of financial support for the development of critical infrastructure objects consists in the formation of internal conditions of economic growth – in ensuring the subjectivity of economic agents and the growth of national savings. Measures to improve the parameters of criticality in the processes of reproduction of economic infrastructure have been proposed. Methodological and informational sources of research were methodological provisions on national accounting and statistical materials of the State Statistics Service of Ukraine.

South African economy comprises of a narrow range of exports and an over-dependence on the primary production. These challenges hindered the growth and development of the country as well as the continent. One of the ways to enhance growth and development is through the improvement of economic complexity which measures productive capabilities of sophisticated products that countries export. The study seeks to find the role of investing in infrastructure development has on economic complexity using South African data. The autoregressive distributive lag approach was employed using yearly data spanning from 1960 to 2018. Results indicate that investing in government economic infrastructure has a negative and robust impact on economic complexity. Investment on government social infrastructure and public corporations’ infrastructure can positively influence economic complexity. It can be recommended that there should be policies to support industrial development that targeted incentivising economic infrastructure development. The development should prioritize specific geographical areas such as special economic zones to improve the lives of citizens, boost the economy, attract foreign direct investment and create jobs.

The study was conducted to investigate the perceived influence of socio-economic infrastructure on vocational skills acquisition and practice among rural youths in Bonny Local Government Area, Rivers State. Three objectives, three research questions and three hypotheses guided the study. The total population of the study was 78,373 rural youths while the sample size was 398 youths sampled from the population using Taro Yeman sample determination model. A structured questionnaire was used to gather data for the study. Data were analyzed using mean and standard deviation , while z-test was used to test the hypotheses at 0.05 level of significance. The findings revealed that youths in Bonny Local Government Area agreed that they were exposed to varied  vocational skills training . Also, the respondents agreed that transportation influences their acquisition and practice of vocational skills, and finally, the youths agreed that electricity influences their vocational skills acquisition and practice amongst other. It was then recommended  that government should provide more training centres for youths,  employment should not be on paper and pen qualifications alone but also on skills acquisition related to the job areas.

This study used a survey questionnaire to investigate the state and determinants of household food security in South Africa and Botswana. In South Africa, 1557 households in two District Municipalities within Eastern Cape Province participated in the study. In Botswana, data was collected from 506 in Southern Kanye, southeast District, and Gaborone households. The paper employed Household Food Insecurity Access Scale and Prevalence to investigate the state food security across the sample population. The Household Food Insecurity Access Prevalence was used to determine the characteristics of and changes in household food insecurity of the sample households. The linear and ordinal regression analyses were carried out to outline determinants of food insecurity in the region. Findings emanating from the current study show a high prevalence of food insecurity in both countries. Meanwhile, geographical location, household size, and socio-economic infrastructure emerged as common determinants of food security for Botswana and South Africa. The paper recommends state-mediated intervention to improve access to basic socio-economic infrastructure and address unemployment rates in both countries as key areas to improve food security status.

Much of the press on the pandemic has been focused on urban environments where the virus was quick to spread and the numbers of cases are high. Beyond the greater risk for COVID-19-related health complications, rural populations are particularly susceptible to disruptions in the economic infrastructure of their communities. This study explores the impacts of COVID-19 on rural communities and the responses of nonprofit and other community infrastructures. Using a strengths-based approach and mixedmethods design, this qualitative research asked rural residents and nonprofit leaders about their needs, challenges, and assets as a result of COVID-19. Themes relative to access, interdependence, and community emerged from a priori categories. The research offers implications for both nonprofit education and rural nonprofit leadership.

Abstract Meranti Islands Regency has coastal natural resources. On the other hand, this area also has the potential for natural disasters (coastal) and non-natural disasters that threaten the sustainability of resources and community welfare, so disaster mitigation efforts are needed. This study aims to formulate a model for developing Fisherman communities with a disaster mitigation perspective. This study uses MPE analysis and prospective analysis. The strategic basis for developing fisherman communities is increasing food security through the developing coastal based green industries, capacity building for local competitiveness and conservation of endemic species, and allocating budget proportionally to create local-based economic infrastructure and facilities development. The potential natural disasters that are more dominant in Meranti Islands Regency are abrasion, landslides, high waves and tidal flooding. A non-natural disaster is Covid-19 pandemic. Mitigation must be done is planting mangroves, building sheet piles, social engineering policies must be done by planting mangroves, building sheet piles, social engineering policies, and planting mangroves, building sheet piles, social engineering policies, and alternative livelihoods. The model for developing Fisherman communities with a disaster mitigation perspective in Meranti Islands Regency is optimizing coastal areas’ productivity and livelihood support systems.
