E-loyalty has received great interest from researchers as a key element for customer retention and the growth of firms as well as gaining new customers. This study aims to investigate the impact of the electronic website services quality on e-loyalty in the companies listed within Paltel using electronic satisfaction as a mediating variable. Seven dimensions of e-service quality are examined including content, structure, interaction, presentation, responsiveness, e-security, and reliability. The quantitative research approach is conducted on the returned 393 valid surveys. The findings revealed and emphasized the role played by e-satisfaction as a mediating variable between the independent variable's dimensions and the independent variable.

This study aims to underpin the relationship marketing as an orientation to customer retention. Further, this study undertakes the case study of banking sector from Sindh province, Pakistan. The reason of conducting this study was to analyze the impact of relationship marketing on customer’s retention in the banking sector. Relationship marketing is getting more attention and popularity around the world and helps in developing customers satisfaction and loyalty. Quantitative research approach was used to measure the response of the sample. A field survey was conducted from customers of 20 banks operating in Larkana.  An adopted questionnaire was used with five variables, four independent (Trust, commitment, communication and conflict handling) to predict one dependent variable (Customer retention) at 5-point Likert scale. The response was collected through close-ended questionnaire. The study has found that all the independent variables are positive and significant predictors of dependent variable with a good fit between their reliability and sample size adequacy. The major contribution of this study for the managers of banks particularly in Pakistani context is to take serious efforts to implement CRM effectively for customer retention in challenging marketing landscape due to technological and business extensions. The study has self-report nature so it cannot be generalized in all aspects. Research has left a gap for future research in the same set as well.

This study examines the impact of individual characteristics and employee career development on public service quality, both simultaneously or partially and finds the most influential variables. This research is essential since government institutions have to improve the quality of public services continuously. The research approach utilized in this study was quantitative research, with the sampling technique being saturated sampling by 42 respondents. Data analysis used multiple linear regression, including F-test, t-test, and determination-coefficients by using SPSS software. The results show a significant effect of individual characteristics and career development on public services quality. Individual characteristics and career development affect public services quality both simultaneously and partially. Individual characteristic is the dominant variable. Based on the finding, the individual characteristics of an employee and career development will improve the public services quality. The implication of this study indicates that government institutions need to provide opportunities for employees in self-development activities such as training and short course. The limitations of this study are still using two independent variables. Therefore, future research can append other variables, such as mediation or moderation variables.   Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh karakteristik individu dan pengembangan karir pegawai terhadap kualitas pelayanan publik. Penelitian ini juga menguji variabel yang paling dominan mempengaruhi kualitas pelayanan publik. Sebagaimana diketahui bahwa instansi pemerintah perlu terus meningkatkan kualitas layanan publiknya kepada masyarakat. Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan aalah penelitian kuantitatif. Teknik sampling menggunakan teknik sampel jenuh dengan jumlah responden sebanyak 42 orang. Analisis data menggunakan regresi linier berganda, dengan melakukan uji statistik berupa uji-F, uji-t, dan koefisien determinasi. Proses analisis data dilakukan menggunakan bantuan program SPSS. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa karakteristik individu dan pengembangan karir memiliki pengaruh terhadap kualitas pelayanan publik. Karakteristik individu dan pengembangan karir mempengaruhi kualitas layanan publik baik secara parsial maupun secara bersama-sama. Karakteristik individu merupakan variabel yang paling berpengaruh. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa karakteristik individu yang terdapat pada seorang pegawai dan juga pengembangan karir akan mampu meningkatkan kualitas pelayanan publik yang diberikannya di instansi pegawai tersebut bekerja. Implikasi dari penelitian ini menunjukkan perlunya lembaga pemerintah untuk memberikan kesempatan bagi pegawai dalam mengikuti kegiatan pengembangan diri seperti diklat dan bimtek. Penelitian ini memiliki keterbatasan yakni masih menggunakan dua variable bebas, untuk itu penelitian selanjutnya dapat menambahkan variabel lainnya, seperti variabel mediasi maupun variabel moderasi. In this competitive environment, organizations strive to satisfy their customer by providing best quality service at affordable and fair prices with a view to enhance their revenues. To achieve the objective of revenue maximization, organizations strive to identify the factors that help them in retaining their customers. Drawing from the signalling theory of marketing, the current study proposes a novel conceptual model representing the impact of service quality with food quality and price fairness on customer retention in restaurant sector of Pakistan. The paper underlines an important arena of knowledge for academicians as well as organizational scientists on the subject. On the basis of literature available on the variables understudy, the present study forwards eight research propositions worthy of urgent scholarly attention. The conceptualized model of the present article can also be viewed significant in unleashing further avenues for the restaurant management entities, policy makers and future researchers in the domain of managing in the service sector businesses.

The research objective is to analyze the impact of the participation of online  ICT teacher training to increase the number of accessibility the learning content of features in Rumah Belajar. This research used the quantitative research approach with descriptive quantitative analysis methods to be able to describe how the increase in accessibility features of Rumah Belajar and utilization in learning in school. Samples were selected in this study are all online training participants at 15 locations online training that has been conducted by Pustekkom in 2015 and 2016 in 2015. The data was collected using a questionnaire and a list of open questions in accordance with the purpose of research. The results showed that 1) online ICT teacher training participants, after completing the Pustekkom  training online  using become more motivated to access other feature in Rumah Belajar; 2) The order of the percentage of the intensity level of accessibility to the other features of Rumah Belajar are: Sumber Belajar 23%, BSE 23%, Bank Soal 21%, Kelas Maya 13%, Lab Maya 6%, Karya Guru 4%, Wahana Jelajah Angkasa 4%, Peta Budaya 4% and Karya Komunitas 2%, and ICT training online using the application PKB Rumah Belajar can be used as a reference for efforts to develop a web-based learning applications, in particular for the development of Rumah belajar portal belongs Pustekkom Kemendikbud. Tujuan penelitian yaitu untuk menganalisis dampak keikutsertaan diklat online  TIK guru Belajar terhadap peningkatan jumlah aksebilitas konten pembelajaran pada fitur-fitur rumah belajar. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode analisis kuantitatif secara deskriptif untuk bisa menggambarkan bagaimana peningkatan aksesbilitas fitur-fitur rumah belajar dan pemanfaatannya dalam pembelajaran di sekolah. Sampel yang dipilih dalam penelitian ini adalah semua peserta diklat online  pada 15 lokasi diklat online yang telah dilaksanakan oleh Pustekkom pada tahun 2015 dan 2016. Pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner dan daftar pertanyaan terbuka sesuai dengan tujuan penelitian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 1) peserta diklat online TIK Guru, setelah mengikuti diklat online Pustekkom, menjadi lebih termotivasi untuk mengakses fitur-fitur lainnya dalam Rumah Belajar; 2) Urutan prosentase tingkat intensitas aksesbilitas terhadap fitur-fitur Rumbel selain Pengembangan Keprofesian berkelanjutan (PKB) adalah: Sumber Belajar 23%, Buku Sekolah Elektronik (BSE) 23%, Bank Soal 21%, Kelas Maya 13%, Lab Maya 6%, Karya Guru 4%, Wahana Jelajah Angkasa 4%, Peta Budaya 4% dan Karya Komunitas 2%; dan 3) diklat online TIK menggunakan aplikasi PKB. Rumah belajar bisa dijadikan referensi bagi upaya pengembangan aplikasi pembelajaran berbasis web, khususnya bagi pengembangan portal Rumah Belajar milik Pustekkom Kemendikbud.

Purpose The purpose of this paper is to analyse the evolution of top management’s understanding of product quality in Bulgaria since the end of communism. The study examines three specific areas: top management’s understanding of the term “quality”; top management’s understanding of the relationship between quality and business performance; and top management’s understanding of the impact of job position on quality. Design/methodology/approach The paper relies on a quantitative research approach by using data from a survey of 186 companies in Bulgaria. Findings The paper suggests that senior managers in Bulgaria continue to base their understanding of “quality” on a single approach (*a characteristic of the communist era), with the product-based and the user-based approaches currently being the two most common ones. At the same time, surprisingly enough, this study claims that senior management in Bulgaria is currently well aware of the importance of quality as a dimension of firm’s competitiveness, and is also highly conscious of its roles’ impact on product quality. Research limitations/implications The results of this study are exclusively based on the case of Bulgaria and must be treated with caution in the case of other former communist states from the Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) region. Practical implications This paper has relevance for both managers and companies doing business in Eastern Europe. Originality/value This is the first paper to provide detailed analysis of the evolution of the understanding of “product quality” in CEE since the end of communism. Moreover, this paper applies, for the first time, Garvin’s five approaches to defining quality within a practical context.

This study was conducted with the objective of identifying the influence of service quality, university image on agricultural students’ satisfaction and loyalty. The quantitative research approach was applied. Data were collected using questionnaires with a sample size of 313 students who majored in Veterinary Medicine, Animal Husbandry, Agronomy and Plant Protection at Nong Lam University Ho Chi Minh City. The sample has been selected by convenient method. The research results show that agricultural students’ satisfactions and loyalty are affected by service quality and school image. In which, the school image has the stronger impact on student satisfaction and loyalty. From the findings, the researcher has made conclusions and some suggestions to contribute to improving student loyalty.

The aims of this paper is to analyze the effect of the relationship between knowledge and on green management and its implication on competitive advantage and sustainable performannce. This study used a quantitative research approach that explains the phenomenon by collecting numerical data analyzed using structural equation modelling (SEM) with the WarpPLS program application. The population in this study were small or medium business owners (general managers) in the industrial sector in the city of Semarang. Knowledge and green management have a significant effect on competitive advantages and competitive advantages has a significant effect on the sustainability performance. It means that the knowledge and green management simultaneously shows a significant effect on competitive advantages and sustainability performance. The application of green management will also improve sustainability performance. The originality of this study is on the testing of simultaneous relationships between the factors making up the application of green management, namely knowledge as well as the impact of green management implementation on sustainability performance.

The traditional advantage of using Information Communication Technologies (ICTs) to enhance work flexibility also has a drawback of enabling academics to continue working even after regular working hours. This phenomenon has been referred to as technology-assisted supplemental work (TASW). Although TASW enhances academics’ work productively, they also have a negative impact on their family-life. The impact TASW has on academics and on higher education institutions can be understood by measuring the phenomenon properly by using a reliable and valid scale. The aim of this study is too validate a newly developed TASW scale by Fenner and Renn (2010). This study adopted a quantitative research approach and used an online survey to gather data. The sample included academic from a higher education in South Africa (n = 216). The results indicate that the TASW is a valid and reliable measure of technology among the sample of South African academics.

Taking a case study of tourism as hospitality industry in Lampung Province in Indonesia, we analyze the antecedent of customer satisfaction and its impact on customer retention. Using Structural Equation Model (SEM), we find that customer relationship management has a significant impact on service quality, customer satisfaction and customer retention. Moreover, the impact of service quality on customer satisfaction and the one of customer satisfaction on customer retention are also significant. Relying on the findings, we recommend some strategies for the government of Lampung Province, e.g. training local people to behave more friendly in welcoming domestic or international tourists, fixing all lodging facilities, creating more souvenirs with Lampung’s ornaments and developing management system adopting global changes in technology, communication and trend.

PurposeThis study aims to explore the components of eco-service quality at hotels and to cluster hotel customers based on their eco-service quality perceptions.Design/methodology/approachA quantitative research approach was adapted, and a survey study was performed on Russian tourists staying at the hotels located in Antalya, Turkey. Factor analysis results showed that the eco-service quality variable contains the dimensions of equipment, practice and staff and food. These factors were used to cluster hotel customers, and two groups were obtained as sensitive customers to eco-services and apathetic customers to eco-services. Cluster-based differences were identified by a series of cross-tabulations and regression analyses.FindingsSome socio-demographic and travel choice-related differences were obtained between the customer groups. The results of regression analyses showed that the most important determinant of sensitive customers' overall satisfaction was equipment, which was followed by staff and food and practice. The only significant determinant of apathetic customers' overall satisfaction was equipment.Practical implicationsHotel customers, who have different socio-demographic characteristics, are identified to have also distinct perceptions on the quality of eco-friendly equipment or services. Hence, hotel managers are suggested to develop proactive and value-generating environmentally friendly practices that appeal to different market segments. However, hotel managers should decide on prior areas and prefer low-cost options when “going green”, as some customer-groups do not notice such efforts.Originality/valueFrom the theoretical point of view, this study is original in showing the dimensional structure of the eco-service quality construct and the impact of each dimension on hotel customers' overall satisfaction. Both theoretically and practically, the findings offer valuable implications about the behavioural tendencies of Russian tourists towards eco-hotel practices.
