This study examines the impact of individual characteristics and employee career development on public service quality, both simultaneously or partially and finds the most influential variables. This research is essential since government institutions have to improve the quality of public services continuously. The research approach utilized in this study was quantitative research, with the sampling technique being saturated sampling by 42 respondents. Data analysis used multiple linear regression, including F-test, t-test, and determination-coefficients by using SPSS software. The results show a significant effect of individual characteristics and career development on public services quality. Individual characteristics and career development affect public services quality both simultaneously and partially. Individual characteristic is the dominant variable. Based on the finding, the individual characteristics of an employee and career development will improve the public services quality. The implication of this study indicates that government institutions need to provide opportunities for employees in self-development activities such as training and short course. The limitations of this study are still using two independent variables. Therefore, future research can append other variables, such as mediation or moderation variables.   Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh karakteristik individu dan pengembangan karir pegawai terhadap kualitas pelayanan publik. Penelitian ini juga menguji variabel yang paling dominan mempengaruhi kualitas pelayanan publik. Sebagaimana diketahui bahwa instansi pemerintah perlu terus meningkatkan kualitas layanan publiknya kepada masyarakat. Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan aalah penelitian kuantitatif. Teknik sampling menggunakan teknik sampel jenuh dengan jumlah responden sebanyak 42 orang. Analisis data menggunakan regresi linier berganda, dengan melakukan uji statistik berupa uji-F, uji-t, dan koefisien determinasi. Proses analisis data dilakukan menggunakan bantuan program SPSS. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa karakteristik individu dan pengembangan karir memiliki pengaruh terhadap kualitas pelayanan publik. Karakteristik individu dan pengembangan karir mempengaruhi kualitas layanan publik baik secara parsial maupun secara bersama-sama. Karakteristik individu merupakan variabel yang paling berpengaruh. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa karakteristik individu yang terdapat pada seorang pegawai dan juga pengembangan karir akan mampu meningkatkan kualitas pelayanan publik yang diberikannya di instansi pegawai tersebut bekerja. Implikasi dari penelitian ini menunjukkan perlunya lembaga pemerintah untuk memberikan kesempatan bagi pegawai dalam mengikuti kegiatan pengembangan diri seperti diklat dan bimtek. Penelitian ini memiliki keterbatasan yakni masih menggunakan dua variable bebas, untuk itu penelitian selanjutnya dapat menambahkan variabel lainnya, seperti variabel mediasi maupun variabel moderasi. E-loyalty has received great interest from researchers as a key element for customer retention and the growth of firms as well as gaining new customers. This study aims to investigate the impact of the electronic website services quality on e-loyalty in the companies listed within Paltel using electronic satisfaction as a mediating variable. Seven dimensions of e-service quality are examined including content, structure, interaction, presentation, responsiveness, e-security, and reliability. The quantitative research approach is conducted on the returned 393 valid surveys. The findings revealed and emphasized the role played by e-satisfaction as a mediating variable between the independent variable's dimensions and the independent variable.

The present research aims at investigating the impact of CSR on firm’s financial performance in Malaysia. Based on gaps in extant literature, the current study hypothesizes that four (4) independent variables comprising business risk, company reputation, employee engagement and stakeholder concern will exert statistically significant influences on the dependent variable, firm’s financial performance. The research employs a quantitative research approach whereby a sample 153 respondents were collected using a stratified random sampling technique. Employing SPSS software, multiple linear regression analysis was carried out. The results of multiple regression revealed that out of the four (4) hypotheses of the research, three (3) were supported whilst one (1) was not. In particular, it was shown that business risk, company reputation and stakeholder concern exert statistically significant influences on firm’s financial performance. However, there was no enough evidence to support the claim that employee engage can significantly influence firm’s financial performance. Several implications from the research were further discussed and elaborated.

Marketing is an activity that is very important for a company to achieve its goals. Now that many competitors have similar products, companies must be able to determine the right strategy so that the company can continue to develop along with time. This study aims to determine how much are the impact of Samyang halal certificate products brand image on consumer attitudes. The concepts or theories that are relevant in this study include Stimulus-Organism-Response, Brand Image, and Consumer Attitudes. This research was conducted using a quantitative research approach. The research method used was a survey. The population of this research is ARMY ELS Medan, North Sumatra with 114 respondents. The sampling technique in this study used a saturated sampling method. The results of this study indicate that the correlation of variable X with variable Y is 0.754, this value means that it has a strong relationship because it is located between 0.600 - 0.799. Based on the calculation of the coefficient of determination, it is found that the effect of variable X on variable Y is 56.8%. Thus, it can be concluded that H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted, meaning that there is a significant influence between the brand images of the Samyang halal certificate on consumer attitudes.

This study aims to underpin the relationship marketing as an orientation to customer retention. Further, this study undertakes the case study of banking sector from Sindh province, Pakistan. The reason of conducting this study was to analyze the impact of relationship marketing on customer’s retention in the banking sector. Relationship marketing is getting more attention and popularity around the world and helps in developing customers satisfaction and loyalty. Quantitative research approach was used to measure the response of the sample. A field survey was conducted from customers of 20 banks operating in Larkana.  An adopted questionnaire was used with five variables, four independent (Trust, commitment, communication and conflict handling) to predict one dependent variable (Customer retention) at 5-point Likert scale. The response was collected through close-ended questionnaire. The study has found that all the independent variables are positive and significant predictors of dependent variable with a good fit between their reliability and sample size adequacy. The major contribution of this study for the managers of banks particularly in Pakistani context is to take serious efforts to implement CRM effectively for customer retention in challenging marketing landscape due to technological and business extensions. The study has self-report nature so it cannot be generalized in all aspects. Research has left a gap for future research in the same set as well.

The target of this research is to provide an overview and analysis of the impact between commitment, ability and motivation on the work performance of the Selat Akar Village Office Apparatus, Tasik Putri Puyu District. The research approach is included in the quantitative research approach. The population is 31 officers from Selat Akar Village Office, Tasik Putri Puyu District and the number of samples is 30 people using census sampling technique. The method of collecting data is using questionnaires and documentation. The data analysis technique in this study used multiple linear regression analysis. The findings in the research found that the commitment and work ability of the officers were in fairly good condition, while the motivation and work performance of the officers at the Selat Akar Village Office were in good condition. There is no significant impact between ability on work performance while there is a significant impact between ability or motivation on work performance of the Selat Akar Village Office Apparatus, Tasik Putri Puyu District.

This study investigates and explores the adoption of information communication technology by the universities and the impact it makes on the university students’ academic performance. The study also examines the moderators’ effect of gender, GPA, and student majors on the relationship between ICT and academic achievement. By using a quantitative research approach and a sample size of 1000 students, data were collected about the ICT adoption in universities and the relative performance of students belonging to four Saudi universities. Structure equation modelling was chosen to determine the validity of the research model. The Analysis of Moment Structures (AMOS), specially used for structural equation modelling and path analysis, was used as the research tool. The findings reveal that there exists a relationship between ICT adoption and academic performance in a conservative environment. An additional finding also stated that ICT adoption resulted in the improvement of the performance of female students more than the male. However, students’ IT major was found to be making no impact on students’ academic achievement. A discussion of findings, limitations, and suggestions for future research has been provided in the study. Finally, it also provides implications of the current study to the existing knowledge.

The research objective is to analyze the impact of the participation of online  ICT teacher training to increase the number of accessibility the learning content of features in Rumah Belajar. This research used the quantitative research approach with descriptive quantitative analysis methods to be able to describe how the increase in accessibility features of Rumah Belajar and utilization in learning in school. Samples were selected in this study are all online training participants at 15 locations online training that has been conducted by Pustekkom in 2015 and 2016 in 2015. The data was collected using a questionnaire and a list of open questions in accordance with the purpose of research. The results showed that 1) online ICT teacher training participants, after completing the Pustekkom  training online  using become more motivated to access other feature in Rumah Belajar; 2) The order of the percentage of the intensity level of accessibility to the other features of Rumah Belajar are: Sumber Belajar 23%, BSE 23%, Bank Soal 21%, Kelas Maya 13%, Lab Maya 6%, Karya Guru 4%, Wahana Jelajah Angkasa 4%, Peta Budaya 4% and Karya Komunitas 2%, and ICT training online using the application PKB Rumah Belajar can be used as a reference for efforts to develop a web-based learning applications, in particular for the development of Rumah belajar portal belongs Pustekkom Kemendikbud. Tujuan penelitian yaitu untuk menganalisis dampak keikutsertaan diklat online  TIK guru Belajar terhadap peningkatan jumlah aksebilitas konten pembelajaran pada fitur-fitur rumah belajar. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode analisis kuantitatif secara deskriptif untuk bisa menggambarkan bagaimana peningkatan aksesbilitas fitur-fitur rumah belajar dan pemanfaatannya dalam pembelajaran di sekolah. Sampel yang dipilih dalam penelitian ini adalah semua peserta diklat online  pada 15 lokasi diklat online yang telah dilaksanakan oleh Pustekkom pada tahun 2015 dan 2016. Pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner dan daftar pertanyaan terbuka sesuai dengan tujuan penelitian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 1) peserta diklat online TIK Guru, setelah mengikuti diklat online Pustekkom, menjadi lebih termotivasi untuk mengakses fitur-fitur lainnya dalam Rumah Belajar; 2) Urutan prosentase tingkat intensitas aksesbilitas terhadap fitur-fitur Rumbel selain Pengembangan Keprofesian berkelanjutan (PKB) adalah: Sumber Belajar 23%, Buku Sekolah Elektronik (BSE) 23%, Bank Soal 21%, Kelas Maya 13%, Lab Maya 6%, Karya Guru 4%, Wahana Jelajah Angkasa 4%, Peta Budaya 4% dan Karya Komunitas 2%; dan 3) diklat online TIK menggunakan aplikasi PKB. Rumah belajar bisa dijadikan referensi bagi upaya pengembangan aplikasi pembelajaran berbasis web, khususnya bagi pengembangan portal Rumah Belajar milik Pustekkom Kemendikbud.

The present study is aimed at developing effective guidance program for increasing student’s learning motivation. The present study applies quantitative research approach with nonequivalent pre-posttest control group quasi-experimental design, and nonrandom-purposive sampling technique. The data were collected using inventory, interview, and documentary study. The study comes up with the main finding that the tested guidance program is proven to be effective for increasing learning motivation students of 11th grade at SMA Kartika XIX-2 Bandung.

Malaysia has recorded the second highest involuntary turnover rate at 6% and third highest voluntary rate at 6.5% in South East Asia. Employee loyalty becomes critical towards employer. Thus, the purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between career development, compensation, job security, work environment and employee loyalty. In conducting this study, convenience sampling technique has been employed and respondents have been chosen in the area of Kuala Lumpur. Hypothesis were tested using regression analysis by using Smart-PLS. Based on the result, career development, compensation and job security were found to be significant with employee loyalty. However, work environment was found to be not significant with employee loyalty. It is suggested for future research to explore other variables in order to find the factors contributed in employee loyalty. The current research investigates the impact of internal corporate social responsibility on job satisfaction in Jordanian pharmaceutical companies. Quantitative research design and regression analysis were applied on a total of 302 valid returns that were obtained in a questionnaire based survey from 14 pharmaceutical companies among employees, supervisors and managers. The results showed that internal corporate social responsibility was significantly related to job satisfaction and three of its dimensions, namely working conditions, work life balance and empowerment contributed significantly to job satisfaction, whereas employment stability and skills development had no contribution. This study implies that Jordanian pharmaceutical companies have to try their best to promote and facilitate internal corporate social responsibility among their employees in an effort to improve their job satisfaction, which will eventually yield positive results for the company as a whole. In light of these results, the research presented many recommendations for future research; the most important ones were the application of this study in other sectors, cultures, and countries, and using of multi method for collecting data.
