E-Commerce Training with Virtual Commerce Simulation

Over the last decade, commerce has experienced several major revolutions in size, structure, and competition. The importance of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) has become more important within this market structure. Electronic Commerce, commonly known as electronic marketing or e-commerce that consists of the buying and selling of products or services over electronic systems, is more profitable and affordable than ever before. However, few SMEs have been taking advantage of e-commerce due to the lack of education and training in new technologies. This paper presents the case study of e-commerce training for SME’s with the aid of classical classroom training and “Virtual Commerce,” an online commerce game. In Virtual Commerce, every participant owns a company and a certain amount of digital money. They can act as a consumer that purchase from other participant sites and as a supplier for the others. Market conditions, discount rates, and requirements are set by the system operators. This methodology and training has applied to 30 SME’s from different sectors. The aim of the project is to lower the costs for the SME’s e-commerce training through e-learning and to improve participants’ abilities with online simulation.

Training for small and medium enterprises, especially in the context of leadership and digitalisation, has been traditionally carried out in form of presence workshops. Like other learning and training offers, this type of training needed to be carried out virtually during the COVID-19 pandemic, bringing advantages as well as disadvantages. Furthermore, the purpose of such courses is typically to convey a curriculum of preselected content and skills previously deemed useful. This paper presents the experiences from a mini-course on digital leadership carried out virtually during the pandemic that aims to incorporate SME needs in an agile manner. The presented mini-course is being developed using action research approach and aims to provide input for designing training in this context beyond the current crisis. The findings show high acceptance by the participants for the 100% virtual format and the effectiveness of the pilot run was proven to increase the digital skills of the participants. Engaging participants in order to reflect their needs has proven challenging and will be considered in the next action iteration.

ABSTRACT -  Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) also known as UMKM is growing rapidly and has become one of many sectors to support the Indonesian Economy. The lack of ability to have NPWP has been a problem for UMKM and also people. The same problem also found at UMKM in Kangkung Village. The purpose of this community service is to train the entrepreneurs about preparing and register oneself to get a NPWP. This community service is consist of four steps which started by survey of service location then collecting data on village potentials and the role of the community , Preparation for the implementation of assistance and training and training activities. After participating in the training, the entrepreneurs become more understanding and can register NPWP. ABSTRACTThe current adoption of financial technology (fintech) payment by Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) is motivated by the trend of using digital money. The purpose of this study is to test and analyze empirically the factors that influence the intention of SMEs to use fintech payments. This study uses a quantitative method by distributing surveys to 94 MSMEs in the Magelang using convenience sampling technique. The test results with SEM-PLS show that the perceived usefulness and the perception of trust have an effect on attitudes. Risk perception and trust affect the intention to use fintech payment. Meanwhile, for ease of use, perception and risk perception have no effect on attitudes and perceived usefulness. Attitudes have no effect on intentions to use fintech payment. Based on the calculation of the path value, the most powerful factor to influence the intention to use fintech payment is the perception of trust.Keywords: fintech payment, TAM, MSMEABSTRAKAdopsi terkini mengenai pembayaran melalui financial technology (fintech) oleh Usaha Mikro, Kecil dan Menengah (UMKM) dilatarbelakangi oleh tren penggunaan uang digital. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menguji dan menganalisis secara empiris faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi niat UMKM untuk menggunakan pembayaran fintech. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan menyebarkan survei kepada 94 UMKM di Magelang dengan menggunakan teknik convenience sampling. Hasil pengujian dengan SEM-PLS menunjukkan bahwa persepsi manfaat dan persepsi kepercayaan berpengaruh terhadap sikap. Persepsi risiko dan kepercayaan mempengaruhi niat untuk menggunakan pembayaran fintech. Sedangkan untuk kemudahan penggunaan, persepsi dan persepsi risiko tidak berpengaruh terhadap sikap dan manfaat yang dirasakan. Sikap tidak berpengaruh terhadap niat menggunakan fintech payment. Berdasarkan perhitungan path value, faktor yang paling kuat mempengaruhi niat menggunakan fintech payment adalah persepsi kepercayaan.Kata kunci: fintech payment, TAM, UMKM

ResumenEsta investigación analiza las etapas formativas en materia de prevención en las Pequeñas y Medianas Empresas (PYMES) del Sector Construcción en España, partiendo del indicador relativo a la elevada siniestralidad del Sector frente al resto de sectores productivos, para a través de los cuestionarios diseñados ex professo y las bases de datos de diversos organismos consultados, como los Servicios de Prevención Ajenos (SPAs) y la Fundación Laboral de la Construcción (FLC), observar la posible solución a esta casuística tan funesta. Se analizó la cualificación profesional de los docentes, las metodologías formativas empleadas y la formación e información que recibe el trabajador sobre su puesto de trabajo. Los resultados muestran el escaso nivel educativo y formativo de los trabajadores, y la baja especialización de los docentes que imparten la formación. Tanto el Sector como sus trabajadores demandan una necesaria profesionalización de los procesos que les permitan ser más competitivos.AbstractThis paper analyzes all the preventive-training stages in Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) that belong to the Spanish Construction Sector. One of the stages analyzed deals with the fatal consequence of incidence rate in Construction Sector compared to other productive sectors. To do that, a survey was made to evaluate the qualifications of the technicians in External Prevention Services (EPS) and in the Construction Labor Foundation (CLF), by looking at the possible solution to this problem. In order to execute the analysis, the qualifications of the trainers, the training methodologies used and the training and information received by the workers on their workplace were examined. The results show the deficient educational and training level of the workers, as well as the low specialization of the trainers who provide training actions. Both the Construction Sector and its workers demand a necessary professionalization of the processes to be more competitive and efficient

The MUSICNETWORK project was co-supported by the European Commission to bring music industry and related research areas into the interactive multimedia era. It represented a virtual Centre of Excellence during the period of the project and today an international association where music content providers, cultural institutions, industry, and research institutions work together, drawing on their collective assets and mutual interests, to exploit the potential of multimedia music contents with new technologies, tools, products, formats and models. Due to large gaps between needs and real products and solutions, many products in the market fail to exploit the potential of new multimedia technologies effectively. MUSICNETWORK helps research solutions to reach the market by seeking agreements between different actors and formats, by bringing together research institutions, industries, Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs), and experts to build the required momentum to study and define multimedia music modelling and coding for the new age. SMEs account for a large propotion and play an important role in the development of each country in the world, including India. The globalization will bring many advantages for enterprises however SMEs will face fierce competition at the local, national and international level. In order to maintain and promote the important role of SMEs in the context of increased competition, SMEs have to change and adopt new technologies. E-commerce and digital technologies are bringing opportunities to help SMEs improve their competitiveness, narrow the gap with big enterprises thanks to their fairness and flexibility of the digital business environment. According to UNIDO (2017), India is one of the countries successfully applying e-commerce to SMEs. Contributing to this success is the important role of the Indian government. Therefore, this paper focuses on researching the application of e-commerce to SMEs in terms of the role of government in promoting and creating ecosystem for SMEs and e-commerce development.

This article aims to develop the concept of human security through economic safeguards for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in the face of the Covid-19 pandemic. The analysis was carried out using a qualitative approach. This article has found an effort to secure the economy for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in the face of the Covid-19 pandemic by integrating the hard skills and soft skills approaches. The hard skill approach is an effort made through technical matters, namely primary education in online-based entrepreneurship and training in business management based on Information, Communication, and Technology. Primary education on entrepreneurship and training in the form of technical supervision and management of ICT-based businesses in dealing with the Covid-19 pandemic. The soft skill approach is the provision of understanding and communication skills, especially the ability to conduct diplomacy so that people can have good diplomacy skills and through empathy-buying so that people through empathy can trust again to increase their purchasing power, especially to products from MSMEs. By the author, this method is called smart human security.Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan konsep human Secuity melalui pengaman ekonomi terhadap Usaha Mikro Kecil dan Menengah (UMKM) dalam menghadapi pandemi Covid-19. Analisis dilakukan dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Artikel ini telah menemukan upaya pengamanan ekonomi bagi Usaha Mikro Kecil dan Menengah (UMKM)  dalam menghadapi pandemi Covid-19 dengan mengintegrasikan antara pendekatan hard skill dan soft skill. Pendekatan hard skill merupakan upaya yang dilakukan melalui hal-hal teknis yaitu pendidikan dasar dalam berwirausaha berbasis online dan pelatihan pengelolaan usaha berbasis Information, Communication, and Technology. Pendidikan dasar mengenai kewirausahaan dan pelatihan-pelatihan berupa teknis manajemen dan pengelolaan usaha berbasis ICT dalam menghadapi pandemi Covid-19. Pendekatan soft skill merupakan pemberian pemahaman dan kemampuan komunikasi khususnya kemampuan dalam melakukan diplomasi agar masyarakat dapat memiliki keahlian berdiplomasi dengan baik serta melalui empathy-buying agar masyarakat melalui empatinya dapat kembali percaya untuk meningkatkan kembali daya belinya terutama kepada produk dari UMKM. Oleh penulis, cara tersebut disebut sebagai smart human security.
