Online Interactivity and Achieving Business Value Through Digital Media Entrepreneurship

Media entrepreneurship is a growing area of research in media business studies. Online interactivity is a relevant driver because of opportunities it provides for entrepreneurs to deliver value directly and inexpensively to target customers. This article presents online interactivity as an under-researched factor in studying digital media entrepreneurship, and used a three-dimensional view of interactivity: intrinsic attribute of communication technology, consistent part of a social interaction, and process of subjective user perception. It finds online interactivity adds value to media firms by increasing audience engagement, hence reducing costs of interaction between media firms and audiences. This research can help to understand levels of environmental pressure for innovation, the organizational and entrepreneurial need to properly act on innovation, the need for strategic choice and decision-making by media firms to initiate and sustain activities of product and process innovation, and the impacts of up- and downstream practices for innovation success of media organizations.

This paper contributes to the literature on innovation brokerage by analysing the effects of brokerage activities on the innovation and growth of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). The authors provide a detailed description of the Technology Transfer Service (TTS), credited as a European best-practice innovation broker, at Area Science Park in Italy. They then carry out an exploratory econometric analysis, the results of which show that the support provided by the TTS enables research–industry collaboration and has positive effects on product and process innovation in SMEs, but it appears not to affect the generation of new patents in SMEs. The results also suggest that the growth in innovation enabled by the support of TTS has a positive effect on the SMEs' revenue growth and job creation. However the innovation broker is more effective in relation to larger firms than it is for micro-enterprises.

Abstract An inverse finite element (FE) algorithm is proposed for sheet forming process simulation. With the inverse finite element analysis (FEA) program developed, a new method for concurrent engineering (CE) design for sheet metal forming product and process is proposed. After the product geometry is defined by using parametric patches, the input models for process simulation can be created without the necessity to define the initial blank and the geometry of tools, thus simplifying the design process and facilitating the designer to look into the formability and quality of the product being designed at preliminary design stage. With resort to a commercially available software, P3/PATRAN, arbitrarily three-dimensional product can be designed for manufacturability for sheet forming process by following the procedures given.

Research on the innovation process and its effective management has consistently highlighted a set of themes constituting "good practice". The limitation of such "good practice" is that it relates to what might be termed "steady state" innovation — essentially innovative activity in product and process terms which is about "doing what we do, but better". The prescription works well under these conditions of (relative) stability in terms of products and markets but is not a good guide when elements of discontinuity come into the equation. Discontinuity arises from shifts along technological, market, political and other frontiers and requires new or at least significantly adapted approaches to their effective management. This paper highlights empirical findings from a selection of companies involved in a project sponsored by the U.K. Department of Trade and Industry. The results indicate a number of key routines that organisations could implement to enable discontinuous innovation.

The objective of article is to provide important empirical evidence to support the role of individual knowledge management processes and separate innovation types within firms. Specifically, knowledge acquisition and knowledge application are analyzed and empirically tested in relation to product and process innovation as well as business performance. The results support the direct impact of product and process innovation on business performance. In addition, the results show the indirect effect of knowledge acquisition and knowledge application on firm business performance through product and process innovation. Although KM represents a complex concept of knowledge management in a firm and can contain more processes, this article confirms that KM processes individually contribute to the innovation and indirectly on business performance. Besides, it confirms mediating effect of innovation between both knowledge acquisition and knowledge application and organizational business performance. In addition, most of the similar studies have been focused on the developed Western countries.

The issues related to the introduction of innovative methods, technologies and technological means in the investigation of crimes are considered. It is noted that one of the main directions of the development of Criminalistics is the assimilation of the virtual reality associated with computerization of spheres of life, implementation of modern technologies and their use in law enforcement. Technology use of laser scanning of terrain and objects resulting in 3D model is produced allows several times to increase informative value of data collected at the incident scene, provides a visual and convenient visualization in three-dimensional form. As against photo and video images, 3D model has a stereoscopic image and the ability to freely change the angle while viewing. Besides to scanning results can be stored on any digital media without the possibility of changes or adjustments. Attention is focused on the technological capabilities of 3D-visualization systems on examples of their use in foreign countries as technological means of capturing the situation of the scene and the subsequent of a crime reconstruction. Thus, using a portable three-dimensional imaging system for working with volumetric traces at a crime scene, it is possible to obtain accurate three-dimensional images of traces of protectors or footprints (shoes) on soil and snow. This system is an alternative to traditional methods of fixing evidence: photofixing and making plaster casts. Unlike other systems, new approach does not require the use of lasers. The expediency of expanding the range of 3D laser scanning system use in modern investigative and judicial practice of our state with the aim of increasing the level of provision of pre-trial investigation authorities with technological means and bringing it closer to European standards is argued.

The purpose of using the new media in the context of dakwah is an essential feature since it is the trigger for dakwah activities and the execution of dakwah is done to its target. As information and communication technology advances, zakat institutions, must capitalise on it for the benefit of Islam. In the face of the Covid-19 outbreak, zakat institutions such as the Federal Territory Zakat Collection Center (PPZ-MAIWP) are heavily using new media to teach zakat to all Malaysians. There are five potentials of using the new media towards inviting the community to pay zakat namely; further expand dakwah delivery activities, facilitate the delivery of zakat dakwah, diversify the methods of dakwah of zakat, dakwah of zakat while studying and entertaining, and defence against zakat cyber warfare. Thus, digital media has enormous potential in terms of facilitating the implementation of zakat dakwah activities in a more structured, appealing, and beautiful manner.

BACKGROUND AND AIMS Nomophobia is a term used to describe a fear of being without a mobile phone which is a growing problem of today’s world. This digital media effecting young generation with a variety of psychological symptoms like anxiety, nervousness and panic attack. To identify the prevalence and correlation of nomophobia and smart phone addiction in young adult physical therapist of Karachi with age range of 18 – 35 years. METHODOLOGY NMP and SAS-VS questionnaire were used to measure mobile addiction and nomophobia of 309 participants. The descriptive and inferential statistics were used to analyze the data at p-value<0.05 using SPSS version 20. RESULTS The statistical analysis revealed significant correlation found between nomophobia and smartphone addiction among young physical therapist of Karachi. Among all participants 182 (58.9%) physical therapist effected with severe nomophobia and 170 (55.0%) physical therapist reported moderate smart phone addiction. CONCLUSION Consistent use of smart phone among physical therapist makes them addicted and severely Nomophobic. Further studies should be conducted to address the preventive measure of nomophobia and smart phone addiction with different population and responses should be conducted all across Pakistan indulging different sub specialties KEYWORDS Communication Technology, Hazardous, Social Isolation, Musculoskeletal Pain, Behavior, Anxiety.
