This study aims to examine and analyze the influence of social media on brand image and student decision-making. This study involved as many as 210 students from the health sciences and business studies program. Of the total 210 data obtained, the remaining 202 data can be used for further testing and data analysis, this is because there are a number of data that are categorized as outliers so that they must be eliminated. This study is a quantitative research category using a survey approach as a method of data collection. Then, regarding the process of testing and analyzing data, this study uses a structural equation modeling (SEM) approach with AMOS software. The findings of this study confirm that social media has a significant positive effect on brand image and decision making, besides that brand image has a positive and significant effect on student decision making. The findings of this study make a positive contribution to the development of science, especially in the field of marketing strategies through social media in improving brand image and decision making. The findings of this study are expected to make a practical contribution to increasing product competitiveness and consumer confidence.

Lookism issues have been studied in the fields of economics, social science, physiology, and business. Studies have shown that physical appearance affects employers' judgment about the quality of an employee. The purpose of this chapter is to explore the effects of lookism on career development in organizations. In addition, this chapter discusses the strategies for reducing lookism in the workplace from a human resource development perspective and provides four strategies for reducing lookism. First, legislation should include and address issues of physical attractiveness. Second, diversity education and training should be provided to students, employees, and employers. Third, diversity management should be practiced in the workplace. Fourth, appropriate employment processes should be adopted. Future research should study lookism over a wider range of occupations across different cultures. In addition, future studies should develop theories and conceptual frameworks to support and explain current issues of lookism in the workplace.

Well-structured business studies textbook provides enjoyable episodes of knowledge creation which promotes achievement learning outcome for sustained academic results. Business textbook represents potentially implemented curriculum as its vehicle through which intended curriculum is availed to learner encouraging achievement of learning objectives. However, adopting methodology that does not facilitate achievement of specific objectives may limit knowledge construction degrading learner’s mean score. The study adopted is exploratory research design. Data collected were both quantitative and qualitative. Quantitative data were analyzed through counts, percentages, means, standard deviations and Chi square tests while Qualitative data were analyzed using content analysis. Cross tabulation results further indicated that teaching methods significantly influence quality of textbook implying that appropriate teaching methods supports achievement of learning. It was also found that presentation, visuals and differentiated instruction influence quality of instruction content encouraging learning. Therefore, it is recommended that teaching method selected should be learner centered to accelerate learning.

Employability soft skills is a set of highly desirable, transferable skills that turn one into an attractive employee. It can be defined as a set of skills employers want from a potential employee. This study was designed to evaluate the employability soft skills of Gedu College of Business Studies’ Students and for evaluation, the quantitative research design was adopted. A proportionate sampling method was used and enumerated 228 B. Com and BBA students. Collected data were analyzed using a one-sample t-test and an independent sample t-test. The result reveals that Gedu College of Business Studies’ students possess above-average employability soft skills where the mean score is greater than the test value (3). It further reveals that there is no statistically significant mean difference in employability soft skills between male and female students apart from problem-solving skills which were found statistically significant (p=.046, p<0.05).

Aims: The purpose of this study is to identify the teacher’s awareness and adoption of bloom’s taxonomy in-class assessment (examination) by teachers of Gedu College of Business Studies (GCBS), Bhutan. Study design: The descriptive and content analysis was applied. Place and Duration of Study: Teaching faculty of GCBS and exam question paper for the year June 2020 was studied. The study was conducted between June 2019 and December 2020. Methodology: The census survey was done with 63 teachers of which 48 responded (38 men, 10 women). The teachers’ awareness of Bloom’s taxonomy was assessed in terms of knowledge and information received on bloom’s taxonomy, and the exam question paper was analyzed to comprehend, how adequately teachers have adopted bloom’s taxonomy in the assessment of the student. Results: Results revealed that all the GCBS teachers are aware of the concepts and the majority think that their understanding of the concepts is good and above (79.2%). Though teachers are aware and familiar with bloom’s taxonomy concepts, those concepts were not used accordingly in preparation for the exam paper. The overall marks distributed in six levels of Bloom's taxonomy show that exam paper questions are slightly skewed to the lower level of Bloom's taxonomy. Conclusion: Without a careful mapping of questions according to Bloom's taxonomy, the examination will not yield the desirable objective of the module.

While universities have instituted use of various forms of technologies to help identify instances of academic integrity compromises, these tools are unable to detect cases where students get someone else to do their academic work for them. This paper discusses a two-stage approach to addressing academic integrity at a postgraduate business studies course where students were engaged in understanding what academic integrity means within their context and explore various forms of unethical behaviours. They were also made aware about various institutional policies and procedures for academic integrity breaches. This was followed with a post-assessment, ad-hoc feedback from students about their submitted work. Although a thorough evaluation is planned at a later stage, this paper shares some initial results about the effectiveness of this approach to countering academic misconduct behaviours. The paper will be of interest to other teaching academics interested in developing a culture of academic integrity.
