Abstract. The problem of energy dependence has been acute for all sectors of the national economy since the beginning of Ukraine's independence. At the same time, special attention is paid to the issues of energy saving in construction and urban economy, as cities use more than 85% of energy resources. The current situation is a consequence of the deformed structure of energy consumption, the use of outdated technologies in utilities, the slow implementation of energy-saving measures and technologies, and the lack of proper modernization of buildings and structures. Therefore, today the issue of researching building materials that would be energy-saving, primarily due to sealing and thermal insulation, is relevant. One of these building products is a composite building material ‒ 3D structural insulating panel (SIP). The article substantiates the possibility to using modern structural insulated panels in building. The main technical characteristics and features of the device of 3D panels are highlighted, indicators are given that confirm the relevance of this technology use in combination with the use of recuperators in construction. The basic structure of SIP panels is described in detail. The advantages and disadvantages of existing structural insulated panels are shown, both from the point of view of energy saving and from the point of view of the peculiarities of their use in general. It is calculated that the use of a SIP makes it possible to reduce the cost of construction in 2 times. For example, the cost of 1 m2 of the total area of the house is from $80, and when fully finished, it can be $300 per m2. At the same time, due to the high technical characteristics of the insulation, energy consumption for heating is significantly reduced. As a result of the study, it was proved that the use of SIP technology is a profitable solution, as it has a positive effect on the energy efficiency of a building due to its inherent design features. The relevance of the installation of these panels is confirmed by the fact that buildings, regardless of their purpose, have savings in energy costs in the amount of 65 ‒ 70%.

: Diabetes mellitus (DM) is a chronic and complex metabolic disorder, and also an important cause of cardiovascular (CV) diseases (CVDs). Subclinical inflammation, observed in patients with type 2 DM (T2DM), cannot be considered the sole or primary cause of T2DM in the absence of classical risk factors, but it represents an important mechanism that serves as a bridge between primary causes of T2DM and its manifestation. Progress has been made in the identification of effective strategies to prevent or delay the onset of T2DM. It is important to identify those at increased risk for DM by using specific biomarkers. Inflammatory markers correlate with insulin resistance (IR) and glycoregulation in patients with DM. Also, several inflammatory markers have been shown to be useful in assessing the risk of developing DM and its complications. However, the intertwining of pathophysiological processes and the not-quite-specificity of inflammatory markers for certain clinical entities limits their practical use. In this review we consider the advantages and disadvantages of various inflammatory biomarkers of DM that have been investigated to date as well as possible future directions. Key features of such biomarkers should be high specificity, non-invasiveness and cost-effectiveness.

Nuclear masses are the most fundamental of all nuclear properties, yet they can provide a wealth of knowledge, including information on astrophysical sites, constraints on existing theory, and fundamental symmetries. In nearly all applications, it is necessary to measure nuclear masses with very high precision. As mass measurements push to more short-lived and more massive nuclei, the practical constraints on mass measurement techniques become more exacting. Various techniques used to measure nuclear masses, including their advantages and disadvantages are described. Descriptions of some of the world facilities at which the nuclear mass measurements are performed are given, and brief summaries of planned facilities are presented. Future directions are mentioned, and conclusions are presented which provide a possible outlook and emphasis on upcoming plans for nuclear mass measurements at existing facilities, those under construction, and those being planned.

Salts and water may cause serious damage to historical masonries. Therefore, numerous conservation treatments have been developed by research teams for the consolidation and protection of porous building materials affected by salt attack. Here the focus is on methods for obtaining an effective desalination of historical masonry, indicating their advantages and disadvantages. It is pointed out that cellulose is a favourite material added to poultices used in desalination.

Currently, energy saving requires the development of simple and efficient street lighting control systems. In order to create such a control system, it is necessary to develop an original principle of its operation. They considered the advantages of electronic starting devices in street lighting control systems. They performed the analysis of the existing state of street lighting means, their shortcomings and solutions have been determined, and they developed the method of lighting device automatic control. They performed the assessment of the economic effect from loss reduction associated with reactive power and due to power reduction during deep night. They presented the example of economic effect achievement from the use of an electronic starting device with automatic power reduction.

The article examines the main features of the layout of electrical equipment for shop networks of internal power supply with the definition of indicators for a group of shop customers connected to a single power center, affecting the choice of the structure of schemes for shop network sites. The parameters characterizing the circuit topology are revealed. A study is presented of the influence of the load factor of workshop transformers on their reactive power factor, it is proved by calculation by technical and economic criteria the feasibility of replacing a workshop transformer with two with a lower total power. The calculation of energy savings in the in-plant power supply systems. The type of dependences tgφ of transformers ТМ and ТСЗ with various rated powers in the function of loading transformers is established. The most significant factors of the growth of idle power losses during operation are presented. With determination of losses of active and reactive power and electricity in transformers and losses of active power in a high voltage distribution network A feasibility study was carried out on the options for internal power supply schemes with two transformers of lower power installed instead of one, and the feasibility of such a replacement to increase the efficiency of the equipment was proved and the estimated payback period for the investment capital was determined. A comparative analysis of the studied power supply schemes of industrial enterprises with the identification of their advantages and disadvantages.

The paper presents the evaluation of the implementation of innovative methods of energy savings in electric drive and power supply systems at mining enterprises. The evaluation involves mathematical simulation and instrumental monitoring of the defined indicators that allow obtaining a multiplier economic benefit through the appropriate approach to the implementation and subsequent exploitation of energy-saving technologies. For this purpose, the potential of energy savings in industry in general, and at mining enterprises in particular, is shown. Such indicators as power consumption in mining, the dynamics of power losses in public grids, specific power consumption for lighting and household needs, specific power consumption for lifting and supplying water, as well as for sewage treatment were evaluated. As an example, such measures as reactive power compensation, the introduction of frequency-controlled electric drive systems, the development and implementation of the systems for continuous monitoring of power quality indicators were considered pointwise (at some sites of enterprises). The mathematical simulation method was implemented using the MatLab software package. The instrumental monitoring was carried for 7 days with a ten-minute interval. As a result of the assessment of such measures, the total economic benefit approaching to 9.0 million rubles a year was obtained.

It is known that the stress values and the distribution of the latter in depth depend to a large extent on the size of the Foundation sole and especially the width. In this article, in order to select the optimal width of the Foundation sole and the thickness of the sand cushion, the influence of the sole width on the distribution of vertical stresses in the ground base is studied on the example of foundations for metal pipes. The presence of weak water-saturated clay soils within the construction site was taken into account. Variants of the device from traditional prismatic piles and foundations of small laying on a sandy pillow are offered. a technical and economic comparison of options was carried out. The advantages and disadvantages of each option are analyzed. Using the methodology of verification calculations in the design of sandbags, the optimization of the accepted version of the foundations was made.
