Plenty of cultivated land has been used for highway construction. Thus Land-saving mode in road construction has drawn more and more attentions. However, inappropriate land-saving mode may result in some kinds of risks during highway's service life. Based on road risk, this paper discusses land-saving mode of Congo (Brazzaville) Highway One (Phase Ⅱ), trying to reach the balance between the two after accomplishing literature review and analyzing the prediction of traffic flow. The result shows that, the project should choose the mode such as proper construction scale and high bridge & tunnel ratio, rather than small turning radius and low roadbed.

Grouted Semi-flexible Pavement (GSP) is a novel pavement composed of open-graded asphalt concrete grouted with high-fluidity cement mortar. Due to its excellent load-bearing and anti-rutting performance, it has great potential as anti-rutting overlay and surface in road construction. However, the understanding of GSP performance remains limited and pertinent findings are inconsistent. This article aims to provide a systematic literature review for the articles which were published between 2000 and 2020 on GSP, explore the problems in the recent research, identify knowledge gaps, and deliver recommendations for future research. The influential factors and the relative evaluation methods of GSP performance are summarized and discussed in this article.

With the constant increasing of traffic flow and axle load, the early failure of semi-rigid base asphalt pavement is increasingly serious in China. The bad durability and short service life of pavement have become main obstacles in road construction development. Based on the experience of successful application, the early failure of semi-rigid base asphalt pavement is solved, and the service life of pavement is increased by using of the composite asphalt pavement. To solve the design problem of the composite asphalt pavement , its mechanical properties influence results of are obtained by the factors, such as shear strain, shear stress, compression strain on top of subgrade, etc, by a lot of calculation using Shell pavement design software. These provide theoretical basis for durable asphalt pavement design based on rut-resistance property.

When a larger bus steering in the corners, it easily affected by the lateral acceleration so that the vehicle sideslips or rolls over, using the research methods of combining with real vehicle modeling and simulation to ensure the safety and comfort of the passengers. Analyzed and researched systems that affecting vehicles stability performance, including power train, steering system, brake system and the vehicles road model of the system curve .On this basis, compared to the acceleration values which the motorbus body can withstand in different states, proposing the acceleration values when human feel comfortable, uncomfortable and terrible, then conducted simulation tests under different turning radius and speeds. The results showed that: on the premise of ensuring the safety and comfort of vehicle passengers, the allowable speed limit with different bend radius is not the same; then it drew series of limit speeds allowed by series of bend radius, providing a reference and basis for future road construction and motorbus technical improvement.

Surgical site infections are the second most frequent type of health-care associated infections in Europe and America. Public Health England’s data on 139,691 operations at 209 hospitals reported 1,635 surgical site infections between April 2012 and March 2017. Patients with a surgical site infection are twice as likely to die, five times more likely to be readmitted after discharge and are likely to have a prolonged hospitalization. Therefore, it is still a significant issue that professionals need to help reduce. This literature review looks at ventilation within theatres and how traffic flow can affect the air flow and if it can increase the incidence rates of surgical site infections. Recommendations of strategies are made to help reduce traffic flow within operating theatres.

In order to learn more about the composite steel-concrete bridge which the Djoué bridge of Congo (Brazzaville) National Road One Phase- II Project has selected, promote the design technologies of bridges and better understand and improve the relevant standards, The overall optimization design analysis of Djoué Bridge aiming at saving steel and improving bearing capacity is necessary. The Doctor Bridge was used in optimization of bridge type, concrete thickness and height of steel beam and they have been selected. It can provide technical references for the construction of the Djoué Bridge, the follow-up study of the composite steel-concrete bridge and the specification improvement.

The hotel industry is plagued with turnover. This study uses Framing Theory to examine hotel turnover. This study consisted of two phases. Phase I used qualitative research methods to answer RQ1: What communication frames do hotel managers use when describing the jobs at their hotel? Thirteen hotel managers were interviewed to discover the communication frames they use to describe their jobs. The nine communication frames of family, fun, team, manager as an advocate, autonomy, hard work, professional hotelier, comfortable, and communication style were revealed. The communication frames of professions, meaningful work, calling, dirty work, family, real jobs and work as flow were revealed through the literature review. The data from the literature review and Phase I was used to create a survey for Phase II. Phase II used quantitative research methods to answer RQ2: What is the relationship between the communication frames and job satisfaction, turnover intention and job commitment? Nine communication frames that formed valid and reliable scales were analyzed. Factor analysis revealed three work outcomes of job satisfaction, intent to leave and job regret. Several correlations between the communication variables and the work outcomes were revealed. Predictors of job satisfaction were fun and fulfillment. Predictors of intent to leave were fun, manager as an advocate, hard work, pay and real job. Predictors of job regret were fun, professional hotelier, and real job. This study expands the use of Framing Theory in organizations and expands previous research. This study also has application for managers wishing to reduce turnover. Limitations and ideas for future studies were stated.

The search for alternative methods of replacing steel reinforcement in load-bearing reinforced concrete structures with composite polymer reinforcement is an urgent scientific and practical task. Composite reinforcement (basalt-plastic, fiberglass) is an economically viable alternative to steel reinforcement; it possesses high tensile strength and chemical resistance, light weight (more than 4 times lighter than the steel ones), low thermal conductivity, radio transparency, dielectric properties. Such properties make it possible to use this type of reinforcement of concrete structures in civil, industrial, and road construction. Only in recent years, the specialists in Uzbekistan have paid special attention to the need for composite polymer reinforcement in construction. This type of reinforcement makes it possible to increase the service life of concrete structures and the building as a whole and to reduce the country's dependence on imports of steel reinforcement. At present the production of basalt-plastic reinforcement is localized in the country – its fiber is made from local basalt. For the possibility of industrial application of composite polymer reinforcement in construction, it is necessary to establish a relationship between a customer, a designer, and a manufacturer. For a customer, the project must be economically profitable, a designer must understand the physical and mechanical properties of the reinforcement and know the regulatory base, and a manufacturer must be interested in producing quality units and assemblies in accordance with the interstate standards, and be sure that the reinforcement produced by him will be in demand. The high deformability of structures caused by the low modulus of elasticity of composite reinforcement does not allow the manufacture of structures that work as bending and eccentrically compressed elements, embedded in reinforced concrete; however, it is noted that such reinforcement can be used in structures for which the requirements for the second group of limiting states are not determinant. The national standards acting in the CIS countries and other states limit the scope of application of composite polymer reinforcement in concrete structures in industrial objects of the economic complex. An analysis of the actual operation of prefabricated road panels, taking into account the low deformation characteristics of basalt-plastic reinforcement, showed the possibility of replacing steel reinforcement with a composite polymer one according to the criterion of uniform strength in terms of design tensile strengths while maintaining the number of working reinforcement bars and their location in reinforcing units. The results of testing the pilot panels of the road surface (prefabricated ones) reinforced with basalt-plastic reinforcement were considered to determine their crack resistance and bearing capacity. The test results of experimental road panels show that the bearing capacity not only decreased but substantially increased. The high corrosion resistance of basalt-plastic reinforcement, when used in road panels, contributes to an increase in the service life of such panels, since the values of crack opening under operational loads are set lower than the permissible limit values. The results of this study show that it is possible to expand the scope of industrial application of basalt-plastic reinforcement in the production of precast concrete structures, for example, for road construction. To do this, it is necessary to create a regulatory framework based on the results of relevant research work.
