The study on which this article reports, analyzed the current situation of ownership structure and corporate performance based on the panel data of 153 companies listed on the Growth Enterprises Market (GEM) board from 2010 to 2012 and explored the mechanism of companies’ ownership structure to corporate performance with multiple regressions. The results show that tradable shares, state-owned shares and managerial shares have a negative correlation with corporate performance, and that there is a significant quadratic non-linear relationship between tradable shares and corporate performance while legal-person shares are not significantly related to corporate performance. We also found that the shareholding ratio of the top ten largest shareholders has a significantly positive correlation with corporate performance but we failed to find any significance for the largest shareholder and the Z index.

Epidemiological studies around the world have reported that fine particulate matter (PM2.5) is closely associated with human health. The distribution of PM2.5concentrations is influenced by multiple geographic and socioeconomic factors. Using a remote-sensing-derived PM2.5dataset, this paper explores the relationship between PM2.5concentrations and meteorological parameters and their spatial variance in China for the period 2001–2010. The spatial variations of the relationships between the annual average PM2.5, the annual average precipitation (AAP), and the annual average temperature (AAT) were evaluated using the Geographically Weighted Regression (GWR) model. The results indicated that PM2.5had a strong and stable correlation with meteorological parameters. In particular, PM2.5had a negative correlation with precipitation and a positive correlation with temperature. In addition, the relationship between the variables changed over space, and the strong negative correlation between PM2.5and the AAP mainly appeared in the warm temperate semihumid region and northern subtropical humid region in 2001 and 2010, with some localized differences. The strong positive correlation between the PM2.5and the AAT mainly occurred in the mid-temperate semiarid region, the humid, semihumid, and semiarid warm temperate regions, and the northern subtropical humid region in 2001 and 2010.

Phytoplankton is the primary producer whose existence depends not only on the nutrient. The eastern part of Segara Anakan waters experienced changes where the decline in quality which received input from organic and inorganic wastes and residential, industrial and factory wastes of Holcim and Pertamina factories. The purpose of this research is to study the water quality and to study the relationship between water quality and abundance of phytoplankton at the eastern part of Segara Anakan. The result showed that Water quality in Segara Anakan waters in the eastern part of Cilacap consists of several parameters that beyond the quality standards according to the Keputusan Menteri Lingkungan Hidup No. 51 of 2004 such as pH, Nitrate, Ammonia, Phosphate, and TSS. Water temperature is a physical factor which has a strong negative correlation with the abundance of phytoplankton, followed by TSS as a physical factor which has a positive correlation. The chemical factor which has a positive correlation with abundance are TDS, Nitrite and pH, followed by Phosphate, Salinity, Ammonia, and Nitrate which has a negative correlation with the abundance of phytoplankton. Key Words: Environmental factor, phytoplankton, Segara Anakan, Spatial variation, temporal variation.

This study is aimed at exploring the relationship between serum ferritin and blood lipids and the influence of diabetes and different hs-CRP levels. A total of 8163 subjects were analyzed. Participators were classified according to serum ferritin, diabetes, and two hs-CRP levels. Blood lipids were determined using standardized methods and conditions. Except for HDL-C, there was a significant increase in blood lipids in the progressive ferritin group with normal hs-CRP levels (P<0.05). But HDL-C was just the opposite (P<0.0001). In nondiabetic patients, TG, TC, and LDL-C were significantly elevated in the progressive ferritin group (P<0.05). And, HDL-C was just the opposite (P<0.05). The generalized linear model and the parsimonious model showed that serum TG was positively correlated with ferritin, and LDL-C was negatively correlated with ferritin (P<0.05). But the correlation between LDL-C and ferritin was broken (P>0.05). After a sufficient adjustment, there was a positive correlation between serum TG and ferritin and a negative correlation between LDL-C and ferritin. Nonetheless, a negative correlation between LDL-C and ferritin is influenced by diabetes frailly. And, there was no change of relationship between lipids and ferritin in different hs-CRP levels. We found a real relationship between ferritin and lipids after sufficient adjustment for confounders.

Background. Kawasaki disease (KD) is a self-limited vasculitis with unknown etiologies, and coronary artery lesions (CALs) are the most common and serious complications. Retinol-binding protein 4 (RBP4) has been confirmed effects on vasodilation, platelet activation inhibition, and cardiovascular diseases by researches. Therefore, this study was aimed at investigating the relationship between RBP4 and inflammation as well as thrombogenesis in children with KD. Methods. 79 subjects were from 62 children with KD and 17 healthy controls (HCs). The KD group was divided into KD with CALs (KD-CALs) and KD without CALs (KD-NCALs), and the serum RBP4 levels were measured by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Results. Compared with the HC group, serum RBP4 levels in the KD group were significantly decreased ( p < 0.05 ). RBP4, hemoglobin (Hb), and mean platelet volume (MPV) levels were higher, while platelet counts (Plt) and thrombin time (TT) levels were lower in the KD-NCALs group than in the KD-CALs group ( p < 0.05 ). RBP4 had positive correlation with time point of intravenous immunoglobulin (IVIG), Hb, and percentage of leukomonocytes (L%) and negative correlation with the percentage of neutrophils (N%), MPV, C-reactive protein (CRP), neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio (NLR), prothrombin time (PT), fibrinogen (Fbg), and D-dimer (DD) in the KD group; RBP4 had positive correlation with the time point of IVIG and L% and negative correlation with N%, MPV, and NLR in the KD-NCALs group; and RBP4 had positive correlation with Hb and L% and negative correlation with N%, CRP, NLR, and PT in the KD-CALs group ( p < 0.05 ). Multiple linear regression analysis confirmed that Hb and CRP in the KD group, MPV and N% in the KD-NCALs group, and PT and CRP in the KD-CALs group were independent predictors of RBP4 ( p < 0.05 ). Conclusion. Lower RBP4 was observed in the KD group than in the HC group, and RBP4 had associations with markers of inflammation and thrombogenesis in children with KD.
