In certain company, propylene gas centrifugal compressor is one of the core units of ethylene cracker. The machine has been running smoothly since put into operation, its bearing system never appeared abnormal. In October 2011, the low pressure side of bearing started to show abnormal vibration, as time move on, the vibration values showed an upward trend, which reached 45um by the end of November. This abnormal vibration brings significant hazards to the safe operation of the device, and could affect the normal production of the cracker and its downstream units and lead to huge loss. Therefore, to eliminate hidden dangers and ensure safe production, the device was disassembled and checked. After analysis, it was found that, the fundamental reason for bearing vibration was static corrosion. Measures like process operation adjustment were adopted, which solved the vibration problem completely and provided guarantee for the long period safe operation of the device.

The anti-corrosion performance of Tiangang TP95S casing steel was studied by high temperature autoclaves simulating the high-temperature and high-pressure H2S/CO2 environment. The experimental results show that the corrosion rates increase with the rising of temperature which is from 40°C to 80°C under the dynamic and static conditions of the simulated environments; the dynamic corrosion rates are between 1.7294 and 1.8601mm/a and the corrosion rates are 0.4264~1.2715mm/a under the static conditions, both of which belong to a serious corrosion category; the dynamic corrosion samples have had the localized corrosion at 40°C, but the local corrosion of the static corrosion specimens appeared at 80°C; the corrosion product of TP95S steel takes FeS as the core in the case of static corrosion at 40°C.

Drum is the core pressure equipment of Natural Circulation Boiler. The harsh working conditions lead drum to be prone to failure in power station boiler system. This article presents a systematic analysis of factors which may cause the failure of the drum and builds the fault tree with the drum failure as the top event. Through calculating each order of minimum cut sets and importance degree of each basic event probability to determine the major influent factors for the failure of drum, this article puts forward the corresponding solutions and brings reference value to safe operation and maintenance of boiler drum.

Historically, attempts to model the temperature structure of faculae have generally suffered from a rather basic contradiction. Models which were based on center to limb measurements of the continuum contrast of faculae disagree with models that are based on measurements of line profiles in faculae. The “continuum” models predict line weakenings which are of larger amplitude than what is observed, and the “line profile” models predict a continuum contrast that is less than what is observed. Chapman (1976) discusses this problem in some detail. It is the purpose of this paper to show that there is a fundamental reason for this historical contradiction between line profile measurements and continuum contrast measurements: The line profile and the continuum contrast of a given facular are both a function (the two functions are different) of the size of that facula. The first indication of this fact was given by Frazier (1971). Figure 1 shows the contrast of faculae in the core of the line Fe Iλ 525. 0 nm, and in the continuum, as a function of the observed magnetic flux. One can see immediately that the contrast in each channel depends on φ in a much different manner. Therefore, one can conclude that the shape of the entire line profile will vary as a function of φ. On the basis of Figure 1, we must expect that this variation of the line profile will be continuous from infinitesimally small faculae up through very large faculae, and indeed, all the way up to pores.

Public-private partnerships (PPPs) are used for infrastructure projects, but they usually involve risk because of their complexity. The construction and operation stages are the core of successful infrastructure PPP projects. This study analysed the efficiency and determinants of the construction and operation stages of Chinese infrastructure PPP projects conducted by thirty provinces from 2008–2013. During the five years examined, the efficiency of infrastructure PPP projects in the construction stage exhibited a downward spiral, but showed a gradual upward trend in the operation stage. The results showed that government supervision was one of the most significant positive influences on construction efficiency, while risk allocation had a greater positive impact on efficiency during the operation stage. The evidence in this study is impactful because it provides insights for practitioners regarding key determinants for improving efficiency in the construction and operation stages of infrastructure PPP projects.

Objective For the proper treatment of first-episode psychosis, assessment of treatment response, remission, relapse, and recovery is important. Therefore, the present study aimed to develop operational definitions of clinical outcomes in first-episode psychosis.Methods A questionnaire was developed by a panel of experts and underwent three revisions. The final survey was presented to 150 psychiatrists who were members of the Korean Society for Schizophrenia Research. Respondents selected factors that they believed were important to consider while defining treatment response, remission, relapse, and recovery using a 6-point Likert scale. Selected factors that constituted each definition were statistically extracted, and operational definitions were developed.Results A total of 91 experts responded to the survey. The extent of reduction in psychopathology, socio-occupational functioning, and duration of each state were the core factors of each definition. Outcomes obtained from discussions and consultations by experts have been summarized and proposed.Conclusion The criteria developed in this survey tended to be somewhat stricter than those used by other studies. The fundamental reason for this is that this survey focused on first-episode psychosis. A better understanding of each definition in first-episode psychosis is necessary to improve effective treatment outcomes.

The researches studied opportunistic microbiocenoses at different technological sites of a commercial dairy farm in a three-year dynamics. The composition and sensitivity of the opportunistic pathogenic microflora to antibiotics were determined. It was established that the generic and species composition of the core of microbiocenoses was represented by typical opportunistic strains and was characterized by relative constancy at each site. The most common representatives were Enterococcus spp., P. aeruginosa, Proteus spp., S. aureus, E. coli, and C. albicans. A comparative analysis of antibiotic resistance in 2017 and 2020 revealed an upward trend in AMR. At all the examined sites, an increase in the proportion of microorganisms with reduced sensitivity to three or more antibiotics was revealed. An increase in the number of multi-resistant isolates was found in the calve site.

Dry eye disease is a common and frequently occurring ophthalmology with complex and diverse causes, and its incidence is on the upward trend. The pathogenesis of DED is still completely clear. However, the immune response based on inflammation has been recognized as the core basis of this disease. In this review, we will systematically review the previous research on the treatment of DED in immune inflammation, analyze the latest views and research hotspots, and provide reference for the prevention and treatment of DED.

Abstract The target article carefully describes the memory system, centered on the temporal lobe that builds specific memory traces. It does not, however, mention the laterality effects that exist within this system. This commentary briefly surveys evidence showing that clear asymmetries exist within the temporal lobe structures subserving the core system and that the right temporal structures mainly underpin face familiarity feelings.
