Study of Tianjin City's Cultural Strategies in its Greenway System Plan

Urban greenway system is one of the important parts in urban ecological environment construction and also a significant part of ecological human habitat environment. In the background of overall regional development, besides paying attention to district industry economy, at present we should also think over how to protect and rationally use local natural eco-environment and historical and cultural resources along with endowing the greenway with cultural connotations. This paper takes the cultural perspective of overall plan of regional development and thus provides the cultural strategies of Tianjins urban greenway planning from four aspects, namely, its capability of fusing cultural resources, bearing capability of its green space, the canals cultural charm and prospect of its tourism resources, and offers theories for the construction of Tianjins urban greenway.

The paper examined the spatial distribution and characteristics of ethno-cultural tourism resources available in different ethnic communities in Kaduna State, Nigeria. The sampled communities are Ham, Fulani, Hausa, Kagoro, Adara and Gbagyi, field observations were also carried out for holistic resource inventory in the ethnic communities. Documentary data were obtained from desk review method; information on tourism resources available in each ethnic community.  The findings of the study reveal that the ethno-cultural resources were characterized into three groups that are made up of archaeological/historical monuments, cultural and festival activities, and artifacts; while the nature-based tourism, resources were also sub-divided into geomorphic and hydrological features. The study recommends that  There is the need for private public partnership (PPP) to foster visible ethno-cultural tourism development projects (tourism potential development, provision of social amenities to enhance competitive advantage and enlightenment campaigns), since the local and state Governments (basically in terms of infrastructural developing and policy issue that will providing an enabling environment for tourism projects to strive) cannot do all or meet all the yearnings of the people.

The official integration of China’s cultural sector and tourism sector in 2018 has given a strong impetus to the fusion of cultural resources and tourism resources in various regions. Shenyang has rich red cultural resources and the people have deep feelings for red culture. Integrating red cultural resources with tourism resources and developing the red tourism economy will contribute to Shenyang’s image of a historical and cultural city. After introducing the red cultural resources in Shenyang, the article analyzes the preliminary practice of the fusion path of red cultural tourism, and elaborates on the integration of resources, cultural creative industries, etc., providing some references for the integration development of red cultural tourism in Shenyang.

ABSTRAKKota Palembang memiliki keanekaragaman sumberdaya budaya. Kesenian merupakan salah satu unsur budaya yang mencerminkan ciri khas suatu daerah asal kesenian. Kerajinan tangan merupakan salah satu kesenian Kota Palembang yang berpotensi sebagai daya tarik wisata. Ekowisata kerajinan tangan memiliki pengaruh dalam melestarikan produk kerajinan, meningkatkan perekonomian dan mensejahterakan para pengrajin tradisional di Kota Palembang. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menginventarisasi dan mengindentifikasi sumberdaya kerajinan tangan di kota Palembang agar dapat dijadikan objek dalam rancangan program ekowisata di Kota Palembang Provinsi Sumatera Selatan. Metode yang digunakan yaitu studi literatur, wawancara, observasi langsung dan penyebaran kuisioner. Sumber daya wisata kerajinan tangan yang diinventarisasi terbagi menjadi dua klasifikasi yaitu kerajinan bahan keras dan bahan lunak. Terdapat empat kerajinan tangan di Kota Palembang yaitu terdiri dari satu kerajinan bahan keras dan tiga kerajinan bahan lunak. Sumber daya kerajinan tangan dianalis berdasarkan tujuh indikator penilaian Avenzora (2008) untuk mendapatkan hasil penilaian potensi sumber daya kerajinan tangan unggulan. Potensi kerajinan unggulan di Kota Palembang yaitu kerajinan Laker, Kain Songket, Kain Jumputan dan Ukir Kayu. Berdasarkan hasil identifikasi menunjukkan bahwa stakeholders setuju dan siap jika kerajinan tangan kota Palembang dimasukan ke dalam objek program ekowisata. Program Ekowisata dirancang dengan konsep eksplorasi kerajinan tangan yang melibatkan interaksi antara wisatawan dengan para pengrajin. Adanya program ekowisata kerajinan tangan ini diharapkan dapat merangsang pertumbuhan ekonomi kawasan dengan kapasitas masyarakat untuk mengelola sumberdaya. ABSTRACTPalembang City has the diversities of cultural resources. Art is the cultural element that reflects the characteristics of an area. The Handicraft is one of Palembang City's arts which has the potential as a tourist attraction. Handicraft ecotourism has the influences in preserving the handicraft products, improving the economy, and the welfare of traditional craftsmen in Palembang City. This research purpose is to inventory and identify the handicraft resources in Palembang city so that they can be used as objects in the ecotourism program design in Palembang City, South Sumatra Province. The method used is literature study, interview, direct observation, and the questionnaire distribution. The handicraft tourism resources that are inventoried are divided into two classifications, namely the handicrafts with hard materials and soft materials. There are four handicrafts in Palembang City, consisting of one hard material handcraft and three soft material handicrafts. The handicraft resources were analyzed based on the seven assessment indicators from Avenzora (2008) to get the results of the superior handicraft resources potential assessment. The superior handicrafts potentials in Palembang are Laker, Songket, Jumputan, and the wood carving. Based on the identification results, it shows that the Stakeholders agree and are ready if Palembang handicrafts are included in the ecotourism program object. The Ecotourism program is designed with the handicraft exploration concept that involves interaction between the tourists and the craftsmen. The handicraft ecotourism program is expected to stimulate regional economic growth through the resource arranged by the community.

In the context of the postindustrial economy, the development of the territory is increasingly associated with two keys of territorial resources of the present – culture and tourism. Tourism is a massive sociocultural and socioeconomic phenomenon and one of advanced economic sectors, yielding rather substantial incomes, which are central to the resource for social and economic deve-lopment, ensuring social stability and mutual understanding of people. In this article, the author identi-fies the essential features of tourism and its sociocultural aspects. By way of the fundamental condition of the effective tourism development and the resource of the region development, it is pointed out the assurance of its permanent, seasonally independent character, which can be achieved by attracting culture as a resource of tourist industry. Special attention should be given to the tourism as an object of state cultural politics. The study analyzed the international, federal and regional normative legal documents, which is regulated in the tourism sector. By way of argument it is enumerated the legal documents of the Republic of Crimea. The main problems and prospects are analyzed. The increasing popularity of tourism, as a factor of regional development, is closely connected with culture as an object of tourist interests and wit the key of tourist resources. The author cites the number of problems in local tourism, as one of the foundations, which are indicate the disunity of the tourist industry and the cultural sphere. To solve these problems, it is necessary to envisage the development of mechanisms and to attract extrabudgetary funds, the interac-tion of all departments and social subjects, interested in the development of culture and its usage, as well as a regional development resource, by means of involving cultural heritage objects to the tourism industry. In the conclusion it is emphasized that cultural potential of the regions is not only formed the so-ciocultural identity of the population, but also it is underlined the successful branding of territories and the formation of their positive image, which can affect their tourist attractiveness. At the same time, there is such kind of tourism that allows culture, in the highly profitable sphere, to act not only as an aesthetic resource, but also to make a profit. That is to say that active interaction of tourism and culture of the socioeconomic level of the regions has been risen. The social sustainability has been ensured due to the growth of employment and well-being of the population. The development of trade, as well as transport, construction, food and other spheres, and the development of regional infrastructure are ensued. In addition, the effective attractions of culture, as a resource of tourism, are allowed not only to develop rapidly, but also to stimulate the tourism sector itself and to broadcast the unique cultural resources of the territory in the worldwide space.

This research aims to explore the role of community mobilisation in Surakarta’s culture-led urban regeneration process by analysing the case of the Pasar Gede area.  This research argues that the generation and use of cultural resources in urban regeneration lie in community mobilisation and institutional support, rather than in a state-led cultural flagship approach. In this way, local government needs to move beyond the instrumentalism of urban cultural strategies and to rediscover the spaces where local cultural activities and mobilization capacities are attached.
