With XBT automatic project and measurement system, the automatically ordered projection and data collection of six XBT measurement probes can be implemented in the non-artificial intervention. In this paper, the data acquisition and control unit designs of the measurement system are introduced. The following functions implemented in this system include remote projection control, proximal status display, and water temperature collection, storage, and transfer, etc. After experimental verification, this system can not only quickly acquire all sorts of special and severe sea hydrologic conditions, but also can reduce artificial projection costs, so that the projection automation and success rate of XBT probes are enhanced.

The utilization and application of a desk-top micro-computer based system is described for data acquisition and control/or use in the velocity measurements in open channel flow. The technique of measuring point velocities along three axes simultaneously is approached in two phases: Firstly, recording of the velocity data, and secondly reproducing the velocity data. The system involves utilization of voltage data recorder which can translate the flow velocities obtained by sensor probes picking up the acoustic interference. A data acquisition control unit, a desk-top computer and peripheral equipments which consist of distribution channels, printer and plotter terminals provide the necessary interpretation of the flow behaviour.

This paper proposes a new approach to achieving the command and control modules that can be embedded in smart home building. As a result of this new approach, the house, which in the classical sense, corresponds to everyday family activities, becomes a place that can be monitored and controlled in real time, to ensure comfort their occupants. The embedded equipment can be sensors for data collection, actuators for operating various functions and a control unit which records data on which decisions can be made complex. The software programming used is Lab View. The challenge is determining how "smart home" is able to communicate with all components.

A microcomputer-based data acquisition and control system for a mass spectrometer was designed and built. This system incorporates commercially available microcomputer logic modules interfaced to various input and output devices; these devices include an IBM-compatible magnetic tape transport. The system operates from programs stored in firmware (permanent software) and can be programmed via a Teletype for several days of unattended operation. This report describes only the electronics for the system.

A new experimental apparatus has been developed for measuring the thermal conductivity of liquid by the two transient hot-wire method, which is based on the theory of one-dimensional unsteady heat conduction in infinite medium. The glass tubes, the heating line source and temperature measurement devices are designed in this experiment. As the temperature controller, low-temperature bath provides a constant water bath environment and current calibrator is the power source. Wheatstone bridge is used to test the relation between the temperature changes and resistance. Data acquisition and control unit is data acquisition devices of the Wheatstone bridge. As the temperature coefficient of platinum wire resistance is calibrated. It can be used to measure 32 groups of data from 10°C to 40°C at the every 10°C according to the experimental steps.

To monitor and control the pump units of the oil pipeline, the system is expected to not only have a high instantaneity and control precision of measurement, but also keep highly reliable and stable in horrible and changeable environments. This study, taking the CompactRIO module by NI Company as the data collection control unit of system, introduces the design and realization of the monitoring system of the pump units of oil pipelines; besides, in the experiment on the system, ideal findings are obtained.
