By using the waveform measurements and the least square method, the duration of transient level, and the duration of transient decreasing segment of aircraft DC transient signal are evaluated precisely. The evaluation courses and some technical problems are discussed in detail, the uncertainty analysis both of the durations are presented. Some test results have proved the effectiveness and practicability of the method. It could be applied to the characteristic and performance evaluation of aircraft DC transient signal waveform generators.

With the number of bridges increases, the bridge health monitoring (BHM) technique is developing from single bridge monitoring to collaborative supervision of bridge group. Therefore, there are many technical problems need to be solved especially the performance evaluation index for bridge group network. This paper analyses the performance evaluation index of the bridges and bridge group network, establishes the performance evaluation index for bridge group based on rating factor (RF) and technical condition evaluation index. Based on bridge field testing and monitoring data, bridge technical condition evaluation index and performance evaluation method for bridge group are proposed. A case study demonstrates that the research results provide support for bridge group networking monitoring and collaborative supervision.

In this paper, a symmetrically coated damping structure for entangled metallic wire materials (EMWM) of pipelines was designed to reduce the vibration of high temperature (300 °C) pipeline. A series of energy dissipation tests were carried out on the symmetrically coated damping structure at 20–300 °C. Based on the energy dissipation test results, the hysteresis loop was drawn. The effects of temperature, vibration amplitude, frequency, and density of EMWM on the energy dissipation characteristics of coated damping structures were investigated. A nonlinear energy dissipation model of the symmetrically coated damping structure with temperature parameters was established through the accurate decomposition of the hysteresis loop. The parameters of the nonlinear model were identified by the least square method. The energy dissipation test results show that the symmetrically coated damping structure for EMWM of pipelines had excellent and stable damping properties, and the established model could well describe the changing law of the restoring force and displacement of the symmetrically coated damping structure with amplitude, frequency, density, and ambient temperature. It is possible to reduce the vibration of pipelines in a wider temperature range by replacing different metal wires.

This study aims to determine the effect of the health index, education index and the index of the economic growth of Papua Province simultaneously and partially. The analytical method used was a panel data regression analysis with Pooled Least Square method. The results showed that the index of health, education index and the index of purchasing power simultaneously and significant affect on economic growth in Papua province, while the partial test results showed that the index of education and purchasing power index affect economic growth positively and significantly, while the health index has no significant effect on the economic growth of Papua Province.

The main structure and key components of the precision EDM equipment are analyzed and researched in this paper. Key components such as main structure, A-axis, W-axis and R-axis are designed. Aimed to machine several kinds of diameters on a work piece, an on-line electrode milling method is studied. And then test this method on an EDM machine. Based on the test results, the functional relation between diameters and the wears of the electrode is confirmed by the least square method. According to this function, the efficiency of the EDM machining for the precision micro-holes is improved.

The purpose of this study was to analyze the influence of leadership, work stress, motivation, work environment and work performance at Airnav Indonesia Denpasar Branch. This study used simple random sampling technique on 68 respondents by taking respondents from permanent employees. The data used in this study were obtained from the measurement results of 68 employees (39 male employees and 29 female employees). The test was carried out by the PLS (Partial Least Square) method with the smartPLS program. The results of this study indicate that there is a significant influence of leadership on employee work performance. Job stress has a significant effect on employee work performance. Motivation has a significant effect on employee work performance. The work environment has a significant effect on employee work performance. Leadership has a significant effect on motivation. The work environment has a significant effect on the motivation of the employees of Airnav Indonesia Denpasar Branch. Keywords: Leadership, Job Stress, Motivation, Work Environment and Performance

In this paper, the anti-calculated method for the static pressure associated with the silo structure is developed and the strain sensitivity is derived based on the formulations of the finite element method. In the proposed approach, the Taylor expansion technique at the initial guess strain is used to evaluate the hoop strain at adjacent points and the least square method are employed to match the numerical results and the known test results. Finally, the developed algorithm is verified by solving the silo with internal wall.

This study examined the performance of selected quoted deposit banks of Nigeria and liquidity management. Secondary data used was extracted from the financial statements of 15 money deposit banks out of population of 17 deposit money banks on the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) for 2012–2017 (six years). The descriptive research design was used. The data collected was analyzed using ordinary least square method (OLS). Liquidity management was measured using capital ratio (CTR), current ratio (CR) and cash ratio (CSR), while performance was measured using return on assets (ROA). Based on the results of the study, liquidity management proxied by capital ratio, current ratio and cash ratio and performance of the firm proxied by return on assets are positively related. The result shows that liquidity management is an essential factor in business operations and consequently leads to business profitability. Hence proper liquidity management helps solve the agency theory problem of agency costs that arise when control of companies is separated from the ownership, whereby managers are able to employ the firm’s resources for personal gains instead of maximizing the value of the firm or the shareholders’ wealth. The value of the firm and the shareholders’ wealth can be maximized through the firm’s profitability via effective and efficient liquidity management.
