The paper is oriented on the hygrothermal microclimate of residential interiors in reconstructed building. The questionnaire survey has showed significant increase in number of allergies, respiratory diseases and occurrence of fungi after reconstruction. In order to find causes, experimental measurements of hygrothermal microclimate were carried out. The long term high values of relative humidity were found out and the link with number of efficient natural ventilation was searched for. Ventilation once a day was usual, what was proved as insufficient. Dwellers were informed about right way and number of ventilation. Furthermore, measurements proved decrease of air humidity, but not sufficiently. It was proved that nobody was able to achieve recommended number of ventilation and almost all of them considered it annoying and unreal to sustain. The biggest problem was proved night 7 hour interval. Therefore allergic and respiratory problems were significant in the morning. In conclusions of paper is suggestion for solution of researched problem.

Most commonly, residents are always arguing about the quality of their high rise residential property. A growing number of high rise residential buildings in Malaysia with differing light well were designed by the structural design and planning since 15 years ago. This light well is defined as an intermediate space area between indoor and outdoor of the high-rise residential building. The questionnaire survey of three high rise residential buildings that have different sizes of the light well and building designed were conducted to make clear the occupants' evaluation about the real quality conditions of the buildings. As a result, the quality of light well is clearly satisfied and well managed by the property manager in their high rise residential buildings.

Environmental health is referring to the health of people in relation to environmental quality. Due to rapid urbanisation, more people are living in urban neighbourhoods. Urban planning and design aspects including the neighbourhood environment are potentially affecting the human healthy lifestyle and health condition. Thus, the relationship between Malaysian neighbourhood environmental aspects and human health has become the concern of this research. One of the neighbourhood units in Shah Alam city had been chosen as the study area for this purpose. Questionnaire survey had been carried out to examine the health condition and physical activeness of residents. Besides, the perception of residents on the quality of neighbourhood environmental aspects also had been collected in the questionnaire survey. The health condition of residents was measured by non-communicable diseases (NCD) and the physical activeness was measured in duration as well as the frequency of physical exercise activities. The study found that the quality of neighbourhood environmental aspects significantly increased the physical activeness of respondents. The physical activeness was positively associated with human health as measured in NCD (heart diseases and high blood pressure, HBP). It shows that neighbourhood environmental (physical and social) aspects are potentially affecting the healthy life of people living in the neighbourhood. Keywords: Healthy life, Neighbourhood environment, Non-communicable diseases (NCD), Physical activeness, Quality.

The rate of air pollution is becoming a cause for worldwide concern because of its substantial increase. Different sources like combustion of fuels, release of smoke from industries etc are responsible for the pollution of air. The construction industry is a major contributor to air pollution in the form of dust. Most of the activities involved in the completion of a construction project contribute to the generation of dust in one way or another. There are many sources of dust in a construction site like the use of construction equipment, transportation activities etc. the dust thus generated can ill effects as well. But, the problem of dust pollution is not addressed properly mainly because of the lack of awareness in this area. Proper identification of sources of dust in sites, its health impacts etc can help generate awareness and also help in implementing control measures. This can help reduce dust pollution on site. Here, a residential building site is taken for the case study. A questionnaire survey is conducted for the workers to identify the negative impacts construction dust has and also to determine the most common dust control measures employed in site. Keywords—air pollution, construction activities, construction equipment, questionnaire survey, dust control

A series of questionnaire survey on condition of winter heating of residential building and field measure of typical cases were launched in Hangzhou. The characteristics of winter energy utilization in Hangzhou were found out through analyzed the survey data. In addition to air conditioning ,other heating devices are also important in Hangzhou which is a typical city in hot summer and cold winter zone. Moreover, as high as 98% dwelling houses have air-conditions, but in the winter, the number of dwelling house did not open air-conditioning account for about 1/3~1/2. Combined with the analysis of the measured data of typical cases can concluded that winter air conditioning use rate and time length per day are not high. It also shows that, in the hot summer and cold winter area, air conditioning is more important for summer cooling.

The main objective of this paper is to present empirical findings regarding service quality being offered by Nepalese commercial banks. The SERVQUAL gap analysis has-been applied to measure extent of service quality expected and actually perceived by the customers within five dimensions; tangibles, reliability, responsiveness, assurance and empathy. The gap analysis finding is based on responses of 216 bank customers. A questionnaire survey conducted consisting the SERVQUAL instrument with 22 items used for the survey originated by Parasuraman et al. (1988). The result of gap analysis showed that there remarkable service quality gaps in all five dimensions of SERVQUAL. Empathy and assurance have more gaps relative to other dimensions. Independent sample test showed that there is no significant difference between male and female respondent’s perceived gaps in service quality of these banks.
