The hardware system of a special machine tool was improved by the structure of "PC + motion controller" by DMC 1832 controller, meanwhile software design was implemented by VB6.0. The entire motion control system was responsible for the motion controller by using the PC as the core processing section. The whole process of lathe processing was controlled by servo motor, the overall framework of transformation was given. The system has been applied to process the superfine adjustable slender axis. In addition, the system can be secondly developed according to the actual processing needs, it has broad application prospects.

The inconsistent requirement of surface and core section can be solved through system construction of open CNC quenching machine based on PC + motion control card, to realize surface quenching of mechanical parts. The establishment of mathematical model and algorithm researching of the hardening methods is studied in this paper, especially for the outer edge of the non-circular discoid parts, so as to guarantee the consistence of quenching. The result of the experiments shows that the workpiece such as gear, crankshaft, cam and etc. can obtain higher strength, hardness, wear resistance on the surface, while maintaining original good toughness in the core section.

Making a study of the design of a NC inserting PC open CNC system from the aspect of hardware and software, this paper adopted a programmable multi-axis controller (PMAC) to construct a hardware platform for the open CNC system on the mode of “PC + motion controller”. Introduction was made to a kind of way of implementation of the open CNC system. The developed system can satisfy the experimental requirements of the university’s numerical control laboratory and also be used to rebuild CNC systems.

Based on AC servo system of deep hole processing,a new kind of open CNC system is proposed by calling the dynamic link library under Windows operating system, which is made up of googol motion controller GE-400-PV,Panasonic MINAS driver and AC servo motor, has good man-machine interface, solved that the traditional methods is difficult to satisfy the practical requirements in the precision and efficiency of the deep hole processing, experiments show that, the control system can achieve the effect of precision processing, fully meet the requirements of mechanical technology in practical application.

Abstract. PC-based open CNC system can fully take advantage of the computer's hardware and software resources, which can use a common high-level language: Visual C++ or Visual Basic to program. User can mix and use the standardized peripherals, application software flexibly, we use the self-developed five-axis CNC machine is experimental platform, which can develop open CNC system based on PC and motion control card. Using of five-axis machine motion control design based on "PC + motion control card" on Visual C++ platform.

According to the processing and control requirements of precision CNC internal grinder, a design of ARM-based embedded precision CNC internal grinder soft-PLC system was proposed. The design idea of open CNC system was introduced and the system hardware and software were packaged as the components to develop the PLC applications, achieved the logic control of the machine tool. This design meets the requirements of software design instead of hardware design and system integration development of embedded CNC system, achieved the real-time process control and improved the precision.

A lab platform of Open Numerical Control System was designed to develop NC system based on PC and Motion Controller, a Master-Slave control system. The user interface application software was developed by C++ Builder and WINDOWS. It realized explanation and testing for bug function, data pretreatment function, NC code translation, NC simulation and execution, as well as motion controller function.

As an important branch in the field of servo control, multi-motor coordination motion control applications are increasingly widespread. For open CNC system requirement, taking DSP as master core, combing with specific integrated stepper motor driver chip LMD18201T, this designed a serial communication-based new collaborative multi-motor control system, which has characters of highly integrated, good stability, real-time, convenient man-machine interface. The test results show that the system fully meet performance requirements and achieved the motion control functions.

This paper presents the development of a digital signal processor (DSP) based motion controller for a linear servo motor system. The linear motor system employs a moving magnet non-commutated DC linear servo motor as the actuator, and a linear variable differential transformer (LVDT) as the position feedback transducer. It is ideal for short stroke, high accuracy and high speed closed loop servo applications. The controller hardware is based on a TI TMS320LF2407A DSP. The system architecture and motion control strategies are presented. An index motion is implemented using this system. The experimental results with discussions are also given.

3D printing, is a kind of rapid prototyping manufacturing, fabricating expected objects by way of cumulative constructed layer by layer, based on digital model files and powdered materials used. In this paper, the controller of desktop 3D printer is designed and carried out, both from the hardware and software part. For hardware design, a 32-bit ARM core microcontroller, STM32F103VB is selected as the core, supplemented by stepper motor driver chips, thermocouple digital converters and other devices, which build a desktop 3D printer controller panel. For software design, referred to open-source design being based on the AVR microcontroller, the whole process of 3D printing is accomplished by programming the ARM core microcontroller.
