All kinds of Chinese traditional dwellings are naturally ecological architecture because of their coordination with environment and nature. Firstly, this paper describes the concept and meaning of Chinese traditional dwellings and ecological architecture, analyzes and summarizes the eco-design strategy of Chinese traditional dwellings, including combination with topography, adaptation to climatic, using local materials. Besides, discusses the architectural characteristics, such as patriarchal system concept, regional culture customs. By which, extends to the strategy of modern ecological architecture design, for instance, rooting in particular geographical environment, focusing on the regional cultural heritage and Keeping up with the Times Innovation opens up new ideas for further research and design of the ecological architecture.

Cultural communication and art heritage represent a repository of highly condensed information of past time that depends not only on the expansion of emerging digital media but also on the transformation of language and knowledge. In this course, students try to extract single elements from the traditional Chinese cultural patterns and redesign them, then combine them into existing buildings, attempting to balance the coherence, heterogeneity of space, and the uniqueness of projects. It provides favorable conditions in the new era for the traditional patterns to be re-activated. It is a combination of technology and art. The purpose of this course is not to discover new theories or new technologies but to provide morphological possibilities under the existing digital techniques in cultural symbols. We try to build new ideas and innovative digital expressions for traditional Chinese patterns, realize the collision of culture and technology from experimental trials on the existing architectures in other unimagined forms. It is not only the research reproduction of traditional patterns but also brings new vitality and fresh ideas for architecture design.

In recent decades, sustainable buildings have been increasingly concerned, architects, teachers and college students are involved into a number of theoretical and practical exploration. A variety of sustainable building design strategies and cases spring up. Taking Houji Jiaojia garden agricultural exhibition pavilion design as an example, on the basis of exhausting analysis of the local climate, geographical conditions, it focuses particularly on the use of local ecological straw materials in the building to achieve the sustainability of the project, which can provide some reference for the current and future sustainable architectural design.

Purpose The purpose of this paper is to examine a particular aspect of the history of the watchmaking industry during the eighteenth century. Attention is drawn to overlooked ideas and inventions and how years later they may become profitable business opportunities for entrepreneurs. The approach adopted allows examination of the development and commercialisation of a watch escapement mechanism, the rack lever, within the context of the development of other escapements. The rack lever was an escapement which was initially overlooked in the early part of the eighteenth century but which many decades later was reinvented and became a commercial success in the early nineteenth century. Design/methodology/approach Reference is made to the literature on entrepreneurship and acquisition of knowledge in the eighteenth century and the nature of watchmaking in the same epoch. The literature on entrepreneurship produces a framework for examining the actions that were taken to bring the rack lever escapement to market. The historical context within which the innovations occurred was examined to establish the events and circumstances surrounding the times when commercialisation took place. An account of the commercialisation of the rack lever escapement is presented. Findings The entrepreneurial opportunity examined in this article relates to a need to satisfy consumers with a reasonably accurate and reliable portable time piece. The historical context within which commercialisation took place was found to be significant. Attention to the escapement mechanism in watches was identified as the key to improving performance, and the focus of the paper is placed upon how this opportunity was satisfied through the means provided by the rack lever escapement. Alertness to the potential of already discovered but undeveloped ideas appears to be an additional feature behind the entrepreneurial activity. The paper shows that innovation can be a discontinuous process. It also indicates the relevance of modern-day knowledge brokers in facilitating the process of new product innovation. Originality/value Entrepreneurship and innovation along with research and development are all intrinsically linked in producing goods and services to satisfy customer wants and needs. Together, they represent a cornerstone which helps to establish a business and maintain its continued survival. Importantly, the development of new products is a key contributor to this end and innovation and entrepreneurship play their part in bringing this about. The paper suggests that new ideas can occur which may be deemed unsuitable for commercialisation at one period in time but which can at a future time be considered a temporary solution to meet an unfulfilled need in the market place. It argues for the case for reserving judgement on new ideas that are not commercialised and ensuring that knowledge of them is kept for posterity and made accessible to future generations.

The 21st century is the era of information technology. The library should follow the development of the times in this unprecedented wave of information technology as soon as possible to the digital library excessive. Digital libraries can provide readers with a faster, more efficient service, it better dissemination of scientific and cultural knowledge. In this context, we study and design of an intelligent library system based on RFID, it will point out a direction for the future development of the library. On the basis of a detailed study on RFID technology, a smart digital model of the library is proposed and a specific design method is given.

In recent years, the "software crisis" in the information industry which reflected the traditional software development methods had no longer met the current software quality assurance. In order to solve the outstanding problems, this paper continuous explores and in-depth studies CMMI system. It makes engineering idea apply to complex software development process management and quality assurance, uses new ideas and methods to achieve efficient control with multi-dimensional and multi-level heterogeneous characteristics model system for software engineering quality to ensure the correct implementation in the process throughout the organization. It provides reasonable technical support so as to achieve the improvement of software development efficiency and quality. Contrast to the popular defect management software, this system innovatively achieves multi-dimensional systematic management from requirements, design, development, defects, testing, evaluation and dissemination with a certain degree of practicality, feasibility and promotion.

Taizhou is one of the important port cities and trade centers in Zhejiang Province in Chinese history. The traditional buildings retained in its historic districts have not only conformed to the development of the times, but also witnessed the local historical changes and finally formed their own unique local characteristics. The paper takes Haimen Old Street in a good condition of protection as the research object, conducts a comprehensive investigation on the protection status of modern architectures in the Old Street, and deeply explores the spatial forms and architectural features of the buildings. After investigation, it was found that Haimen Old Street has a good architectural shape and characteristics after undergoing conservation and restoration work, which can be said to be a model of architectural protection in eastern Zhejiang. This survey can provide evidence and suggestions for the protection of buildings in historical districts in Zhejiang, so as to achieve the purpose of inheriting the regional culture of Taizhou’s characteristic buildings.

To apply the design concept of regional design, excavate the typical culture of Chongqing for the current design, and endows the cultural elements and symbols that have lasted for a long time with a new flavor of The Times, firstly, the design concept of regional design is introduced to present and analyze typical regional cultural elements of Chongqing. Then, the cultural appeal and social influence of the design of Chongqing rail transit are analyzed, and the main entry point of the design is summarized to provide theoretical reference and method guidance for the subsequent design. Finally, after completing the theoretical framework, typical case analysis and the reference of design techniques, the design procedure of rail vehicles with Chongqing regional culture is proposed, and the shape design, exterior design and the interior design are completed, which have certain guiding significance for the regional characteristics of rail transit construction in Chongqing.

Libraries and archives have always been major information sources for the history, culture and literature of regional communities. It is quite natural that in an increasingly electronic world, these rich collections are becoming available in digital form. Digital libraries permit local materials to be made available to a wide public, where they become a significant feature in the dissemination of regional culture (Love & Feather, 1998). Locally oriented digital libraries deal with specific communities, regions or states. The relationship is clear in this definition, published by the Washington-based Council on Library and Information Resources: Digital libraries are organizations that provide the resources, including the specialized staff, to select, structure, offer intellectual access to, interpret, distribute, preserve the integrity of, and ensure the persistence over time of collections of digital works so that they are readily and economically available for use by a defined community or set of communities. (Waters, 1998)
