ZnO films were deposited on Cu substrate using electrodeposition and thermal oxidation method. The effect of deposited thin film thickness varied with deposition time was discussed. Synthesized ZnO films were characterized using XRD, FE-SEM and electrical measurement. The results from electrical measurement showed the deposited ZnO exhibits pinched hysteresis IV curves. The synthesized ZnO shows a potential applications and options in production of a non-complex and low cost memristor.

Transparent semiconductor ZnO thin films deposited on interdigitated electrode (IDE) substrate substrates were obtained by low-cost sol-gel method. The coated ZnO films were annealed in furnace at 500°C for 2 hours. The influence of surface morphologies, crystallization and optical properties was investigated. The structural properties of the annealed ZnO thin films were examined with FESEM and AFM. XRD result shows that all polycrystalline ZnO thin film after annealing have the orientation along the (002) plane. Both FESEM and XRD results revealed that ZnO thin films were composed of hexagonal ZnO crystals in nanoscale dimensions. Moreover, UV-Vis was employed to study the optical properties of the ZnO films. Besides that, the deposited ZnO thin film will further use for pH by I-V curve tracer.

In this study, ZnO films, prepared by Chemical Bath Deposition (CBD), are applied as the conductive layers for thin film solar cells. Zinc acetate is used as a source of zinc, and different proportions of ammonia solution are added and well mixed. The growth of zinc oxide films in reaction solutions is taken place at 80°C and then heated to 500°C for one hour. In this study, the different ammonia concentrations and deposition times is controlled. The thin film structure is Hexagonal structure, which is determined by X-ray diffraction spectrometer (XRD) analysis. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) is used as the observation of surface morphology, the bottom of the film is the interface where the heterogeneous nucleation happens. With the increase of deposition time, there were a few attached zinc oxide particles, which is formed by homogeneous nucleation. According to UV / visible light (UV / Vis) absorption spectrometer transmittance measurements and the relationship between/among the incident wavelength, it can be converted to the energy gaps (Eg), which are about 3.0 to 3.2eV, by using fluorescence spectroscopy analysis. The emission of zinc oxide films has two wavelengths which are located on 510nm and 570nm. According to Based on the all analytic results, the ammonia concentration at 0.05M, and the deposition time is 120 minutes, would obtain the conditions of ZnO films which is more suitable for applications of conductive layer material in thin film solar cell.

AbstractAn economical strategy to prepare hyperbranched poly(sulfone-amine) modified β-cyclodextrins (HPSA-m-CDs) from natural β-cyclodextrin (β-CD) and other commercially available materials has been reported. The final product has many good properties of hyperbranched poly(sulfone-amine)s (good solubility, low viscosity etc.), while its inclusion ability can also be well kept. It is a feasible approach to prepare functionalized modified cyclodextrin at very low cost, and may have potential applications in the fields of catalysis, drug delivery, food additives, etc.

A novel approach in determining the transition temperatures of NiTi shape memory alloys was investigated and compared with conventional techniques. The technique is based on microthemal analysis using a scanning thermal microscope (SThM). In particular, this method has the potential to allow the transformation temperatures of thin films to be investigated in situ. Thin film shape memory alloys have potential applications, such as microactuators, where conventional analysis techniques are either not directly applicable to such samples or are difficult to perform.

The effect of Zinc-Oxide (ZnO) thin film annealed in different ambiences is presented. To achieve low cost and environmentally friendly process, ZnO aqueous solution is synthesized by dissolving zinc acetate dihydrate in deionized water directly. Zinc oxide aqueous solution of high solubility and stability is presented. High quality and dense Zinc oxide thin film is formed by spin coating. Annealing temperatures are in the range of 300 °C~500 °C, and annealing ambiences of both air and N2 are discussed.

The properties of zinc oxide thin films were prepared by sol-gel spin-coating method have been presented. This study based on optical and electrical properties of ZnO thin film. The effects of annealing temperatures that exposed with two environments properties have been investigated. Environments exposed in room (27°C) and hot (80°C) temperatures which are stored by various days. Solution preparation, thin film deposition and characterization process were involved in this project. The ZnO films were characterized using UV-Vis-NIR spectrophotometer for optical properties. From that equipment, the percentage of transmittance (%) and absorption coefficient spectra were obtained. With two environments showed have different absorption coefficient are reveal and all films have low absorbance in visible and near infrared (IR) region but have high UV absorption properties. From SEM investigations the surface morphology of ZnO thin film shows the particles size become smaller and denser in hot temperatures while in room temperatures have porosity between particles.
