Green supply chain is to supplement and perfect the traditional supply chain by introducing the green concept. Procurement to be green is rather important as one most important part of the supply chain. Its advanced to build a green procurement model, develop green procurement strategy and green procurement standards, so that green procurement and green supply chain will be benefits. In the long term, the establishment of a green procurement model, not only conducive the sustainable development of the supply chain, but also achieve environmental protection.

The strategies for sustainable development have been included in the medium and long term plan of 2010 for national economic and social development. Protecting the environment is the most important prerequisite and safeguards for the sustainable development strategy. In the study, we described the history of the environmental problems in the world, the proposal and implications of sustainable development, and outlined the dialectical relationship of development with the environment. The environmental protection measures for sustainable development were proposed here, according to the environmental situation severely affecting its biophysical environment.

In recent years, with the rapid development of world economy, people's living standards and cultural quality improved significantly, However, the consumption of resources is also more and more , since the scarcity of non-renewable resources and the pollution of the environment increasingly aggravated, all of countries have enacted strict environmental protection law to define the environmental protection obligations of the enterprise. to achieve the purpose of environment protection and sustainable development, building a green supply chain management system is very necessary and important. Green supply chain is to realize the economic sustainable development and an important means of environmental protection a win-win situation. This article focuses on the IT technology and modern information technology in the application of the green supply chain management, such as realizing green production, green logistics.

This chapter presents the importance of understanding how a country's competitiveness is evaluated according to international reports as well as in specific terms that assess the country logistics achieved. These results show the main variables to determine why certain levels of competitiveness are reached. On the other hand, a reflection will be presented, showing that it is necessary to include variables that must be taken into account, that promote or will be possible barriers to sustainable development, which in the long term define the sustainable development of a country. Subsequently, the structure of the supply chain management (SCM) proposed by different authors and which is required to allows to define in a company what are the elements required to be able to structure of its SCM are shown. Additionally, a relationship between the elements necessary for development of competitiveness and sustainability will be established, integrating these components with the concepts of the SCM, where the results will be environmental SCM, i.e. ESCM.

Based on the energy recycle ideas, in view of the three-level green supply chain (GSC) including a manufacturer, a processor and a collector, the manufacturer-leading Stackelberg models were established with random recycling. The rewards and punishments contract between the manufacturer and the processor was designed, and the influences of the proposed mechanism to the game parties’ optimal strategies were discussed. The research shows that implementation of the rewards and punishments mechanism is effective to improve the effort-level for recycling end of life (EOL) product, and increase the processing rate of EOL product. The conclusions are helpful to guide the formulation and implementation of the strategy of sustainable development in China nowadays. In addition, the research has great realistic significance for instilling the consciousness of environmental protection.

Under the background of considering ecological balance, environmental protection and energy saving, how to boost the sustainable development of enterprises has become the common problem that TV industry needs to solve urgently. Therefore, this article considers the necessity of implementing green supply chain development model in Chinese TV industry, and gives the framework under the thought of circular economy. It also deeply analyzes the circular economy construction of each part of the framework, and puts forward some countermeasures of implementing green supply chain management in Chinese TV industry.

The article examines the impact of internal and external risks on the stability of the financial system of the Altai Territory. Classification of internal and external risks of decline, affecting the sustainable development of the financial system, is presented. A risk management strategy is proposed that will allow monitoring of risks, thereby these measures will help reduce the loss of financial stability and ensure the long-term development of the economy of the region.

This paper investigated, for the first time, the game and coordination of a dual-channel, three-layered, green fresh produce supply chain, with regard to its economic, social, and environmental performance. Considering that the market demand is dual-channel priced and sensitive to the degree of greenness and the freshness-level, four game models, under different scenarios have been established. These included a centralized scenario, a decentralized scenario, and two contractual scenarios. The equilibrium solutions under the four scenarios were characterized. From the perspective of a sustainable development, the economic, social, and environmental performance of the supply chain was analyzed. To enhance the supply chain performance, two contract mechanisms were designed and the conditions for a multi-win outcome were obtained. Accordingly, many propositions and management implications were provided. The results showed that, (1) compared to the centralized supply chain case, the performance of the decentralized supply chain case is inferior; (2) in addition to increasing the concentration of the supply chain decisions, the two contracts proposed can effectively coordinate the green supply chain and improve its sustainable performance; and (3) the performance of the supply chain is positively driven by the consumers’ sensitivity to greenness degree and the freshness level of fresh produce. This paper fills a research gap and helps the participants of the channel recognize the operational decision principle of a complex green supply chain, in order to achieve a higher and a long-term sustainable-development performance.

As the world’s largest developing country, and as the home to many of the world’s factories, China plays a crucial role in the sustainable development of the world economy regarding environmental protection, energy conservation, and emission reduction issues. Based on the data from 2003–2015, this paper examined the green total factor productivity and the technological progress in the Chinese manufacturing industry. A slack-based measure (SBM) Malmquist productivity index was used to measure the bias of technological change (BTC), input-biased technological change (IBTC), and output-biased technological change (OBTC) by decomposing the technological progress. It also investigated the mechanism of environmental regulation, property right structure, enterprise-scale, energy consumption structure, and other factors on China’s technological progress bias. The empirical results showed the following: (1) there was a bias of technological progress in the Chinese manufacturing industry during the research period; (2) although China’s manufacturing industry’s output tended to become greener, it was still characterized by a preference for overall CO2 output; and (3) the impact of environmental regulations on the Chinese manufacturing industry’s technological progress had a significant threshold effect. The flexible control of environmental regulatory strength will benefit the Chinese manufacturing industry’s technological development. (4) R&D investment, export delivery value, and structure of energy consumption significantly contributed to promoting technological progress. This study provides further insight into the sustainable development of China’s manufacturing sector to promote green-biased technological progress and to achieve the dual goal of environmental protection and healthy economic growth.

The Covid-19 induced economic crisis has significantly affected almost all businesses from nearly every sector, causing severe financial problems, lack of cash assets, and decrease of revenues. In this context, the economic entities were forced to look for adjustment and rescue solutions of their activities. One possible solution for the recovery and reorganization of economic entities’ activities is demerger. This paper evaluates the impact of demerger upon the sustainable development of economic entities in terms of economic efficiency and financial performances. To achieve this goal, a statistical analysis of profitability ratios before and after the demerger, as well as a structural analysis of 268 demerger projects for the April 2012–April 2021 period, were performed. The results attest there are no significant differences between the ex-ante and ex-post financial performances. However, demerger seems to have a positive effect upon analyzed companies helping them to overcome economic hardships, rethink their business strategies, and continue their activity in the medium and long-term time horizon.
