With the increasing amount of tailings, it has brought many serious problems like take up a lot of land, construction and maintenance tailings reservoirs must be consume a large amount of money. The stockpiled tailings is not only bring drawbacks, but also bring huge economic benefits for us. For example, recycling of useful components contained in the tailings, or use the tailings as a whole. This article introduction the tailings status, utilization and point out direction of future development of tailings utilization.

The international seabed area (i.e., the “Area”) is rich in mineral resources. According to the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS) and the relevant implemented agreements, in 2012, the International Seabed Authority (ISA) began to develop the regulations for the exploitation of mineral resources in the Area. The most important part of the regulations involves determining the distribution of benefits from the exploitation of mineral resources in the Area between the ISA and the contractors. The establishment of a financial model to evaluate the economic benefits and compare the distribution scheme was the basic method relied on in the current study of payment mechanism. According to the characteristics of the exploitation project of mineral resources in the Area, the discounted cash flow method was selected to construct the financial model. Taking China’s deep-sea mineral resources development project in the Area as the background, the main parameters of the model were determined. A comparative study of similar financial models with Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and other foreign countries was carried out, in addition to a sensitivity analysis of parameters. On the basis of the assurance that the contractor’s internal rate of return was not lower than the level of the land mining enterprise, the financial model was used to calculate the internal rate of return and the revenue of royalty under different payment mechanisms and rates. The advantages and disadvantages of different payment mechanisms in the exploitation of mineral resources in the area were analyzed. Lastly, the possible impacts of deep-sea polymetallic nodule mining on Terrestrial metal markets were highlighted.

In the coming years, the mine of LLC "Rudnik Valunisty" developing the gold and silver Valunistoe and Gornoye deposits will exhaust economically justified reserves. One of the ways to extend the life of the mine and increase the profitability of production should be the extraction of man-made secondary mineral resources. The purpose of the study is to identify the main types of solid and hydromineral form of technogenic-mineral formations at the Valunistoe Deposit, as well as to estimate the possibility of their industrial development. The useful components content was determined and calculated. The results of theoretical modeling of physical and chemical parameters of hypergenic mineral formation of the solid part of technogenic-mineral formations are shown. Objects of formation of technological waters are given. The conditions of concentration of gold and other metals are considered.

Recently, the natural mineral resources became short. In the process of fluorite floatation and tailing recycling, the key point is to find out collectors which have good selectivity to fluorite and effective inhibitor of gangue. Most reagents primarily come from agricultural byproduct and some chemical byproduct. However, the tailing mineral is complex and difficult to collect, which brought out accumulation of tailing mineral and water polluted. We try to modify the fluorite collector by use of computer-aided design drawing software and molecular mechanics curve between reagents and useful components in mineral and screen the best reagent. Interaction energy between drugs and fluorite surface is simulated and calculated by molecular mechanics at the atomic level. To determine that the interaction energy between collector and mineral simulated and calculated by molecular mechanics is helpful for demonstrating interaction mechanism. Finally, the better use of tailing mineral is good for environment pollution.

With the rapid advance of industrialization,the consumption of mineral resources is increasing.For open pit mine,many of them went into deep mining.The current,widespread adoption of open pit slope angle makes deep concave mining has a huge stripping ratio.So many mines in trouble,on the premise of guarantee the deep sunken open pit slope stability increase slope toe can bring huge economic benefits,and a lot of research work has been done.This paper describes the factors affecting the stability of open-pit mine slope,the slope rock mass stress analysis,to calculate the lower steep slope economic benefits,puts forward reasonable suggestions the future research direction of the slope stability of open-pit mine.

The comprehensive utilization of solid emissions from power plants has arose much attention in recent years. This paper first studied the present situation of the thermal power enterprise solid emissions market in China. Then by taking China Datang Tongzhou Technology Company as an example, its strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats were analyzed. Finally, based on the SWOT analysis, this paper put forward the effective methods to enhance the comprehensive utilization of solid wastes as well as the future development strategy of the company.

AbstractDeep sea exploration and exploitation are of increasing interest to 21st century scientists, and both manned and unmanned deep submergence vehicles are necessary means for deep sea exploration. To fulfill the requirements of deep sea exploration for China Ocean Mineral Resources R&D Association (COMRA), a deep manned submersible was in the process of development in China from 2002 to 2012 and was named Jiaolong in 2010. The purpose of this paper is to introduce the development process from a historical point of view, including the design, realization of components, assembly, open-water tank test, and sea trials of the Jiaolong deep manned submersible. The technical difficulties encountered at each stage, and their solutions are briefly described. The future development trends for deep manned submersibles are pointed out.
