The ongoing pandemic has resulted in a disruption of the life of all citizens and impacted all the spheres, more so the financial system because the Pandemic and its aftermath has shut all economic activity except those which as per the government directives are considered the most essential. This has deeply impacted private consumption, external trade as well as investment in the economy. Accordingly, both in retail stores and e-commerce orders, a common strand is that many of the consumers are now paying bills via digital payment mechanisms and taking contactless delivery of goods wherever possible. “Digital financial transaction systems, e-wallets and apps, online transactions using e-banking, usage of Plastic money (Debit and Credit Cards), etc. have recorded a substantial increase in demand during the crisis”. The objective of the present paper is to examine and analyze the digital finance transactions in selected cities during the ongoing pandemic

One way to prevent and reduce the spread of the covid-19 pandemic is through physical distancing program. This research aims to develop a prototype contactless transaction system using digital payment mechanisms and QR code technology that will be applied in traditional markets. The method used in the development of electronic market systems is a prototype approach. The application of QR code and digital payments are used as a solution to minimize money exchange contacts that are common in traditional markets. The results showed that the system built was able to accelerate and facilitate the buying and selling transaction process in traditional market environment. Alpha testing shows that all functional systems are running well. Meanwhile, beta testing shows that the user can very well accept the system that was built. The results of the study also show acceptance of the usefulness of the system being built, as well as the optimism of its users to be able to take advantage of this system both technologically and functionally, so its can be a part of the digital transformation of the traditional market to the electronic market and has become one of the solutions in reducing the spread of the current covid-19 pandemic.

Negative aspects in the practice of financing housing construction at the expense of citizens and legal entities led to the search for new methods of paying for housing construction in order to prevent the growth of long-term construction, the emergence of new defrauded equity holders. The article presents material on the implementation of project financing by developers of the Novosibirsk region through the use of escrow accounts. The uncertainty of the long-term prospects for the application of the existing method of financing housing construction, the lack of a firm position on the part of the government of the Russian Federation on alternative payment mechanisms are noted.

Abstract The “art 51” of the social security financing act was launched in 2018 and created an experimental framework to test a programme for healthcare delivery and payment innovation. Its aim is to fund projects that promote coordination, group practices, integration of care, through adequate payment mechanisms. Projects emerge from the field, identifying unmet needs and proposing innovative health care organisations and payment schemes. This presentation will provide insights into this new experience, into the obstacles and the lessons learned.

This study examines the implementation of the debt agreement of sweet potato farmers with toke yam, the mechanism for payment of money owed by sweet potato farmers to toke yam and a review of muamalah fiqh on the implementation of conditional debt and debt payment mechanisms according to muamalah fiqh. The type of research used is field research (field research). The findings of this research are, first, the implementation of debt between sweet potato farmers and sweet potato farmers, namely Toke gives debt to farmers on the condition that farmers must sell their sweet potato harvests to Toke and Toke buys the sweet potatoes at a price set by Toke himself. Second, the mechanism for payment of debt between farmers and toke ubi is through the sale of sweet potatoes which are cut directly by toke ubi as a form of debt payment. Third, the implementation of debts between farmers and tokens is contrary to the tabarru contract and in buying and selling there is an element of coercion or lack of willingness and toke to take profits that are not their rights.

Ride-hailing marketplaces like Uber and Lyft use dynamic pricing, often called surge, to balance the supply of available drivers with the demand for rides. We study driver-side payment mechanisms for such marketplaces, presenting the theoretical foundation that has informed the design of Uber’s new additive driver surge mechanism. We present a dynamic stochastic model to capture the impact of surge pricing on driver earnings and their strategies to maximize such earnings. In this setting, some time periods (surge) are more valuable than others (nonsurge), and therefore trips of different time lengths vary in the induced driver opportunity cost. First, we show that multiplicative surge, historically the standard on ride-hailing platforms, is not incentive compatible in a dynamic setting. We then propose a structured, incentive-compatible pricing mechanism. This closed-form mechanism has a simple form and is well approximated by Uber’s new additive surge mechanism. Finally, through both numerical analysis and real data from a ride-hailing marketplace, we show that additive surge is more incentive compatible in practice than is multiplicative surge. Financial flows are one of the three majors in a Supply Chain (SC). Ignoring financial flows, regardless of the quality of freight transport and information, could lead the organization to a state of bankruptcy, which is a situation directly resulting from a lack of control over financial inputs/outputs. This study proposes a multi-product mathematical model, which makes it possible to choose among suppliers, manufacturing sites, distribution centres, retailers, and transportation vehicles. The purpose of the model is to integrate physical and material dimensions to maximize net corporate profits through inbound and outbound financial flows; it involves payment mechanisms between the financial and physical flows through maximizing the cash flows of manufacturing sites and suppliers, as two conflicting objectives that must consider the reciprocal effects of their decisions. These objectives are calculated by subtracting costs from the revenue; this process, of course, will ultimately result in an optimization of the organization’s financial flow. To solve the proposed mathematical model, the study relies on two algorithms, namely Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) and Imperialist Competition Algorithm (ICA). The sample under investigation is solved separately using the three algorithms, and results are then compared. The observations of the study reveal the better performance of PSO.
