Our environment is majorly polluted by the release of hazardous gases into the atmosphere mainly from automobiles. The day-by-day increase in the usage of automobiles on the roads and decrease in the natural fuel source stresses engineers and scientists to develop engines with better fuel efficiency and reduced negative impact on environment. This could be feasible by controlling the engine tribological parameter using composite material. Clearly it is by reducing the weight and friction in the engine by applying suitable composite material and thereby reducing the wear, it can easily control the hazardous emissions to the environment and thereby keeping the environment safe.

Basalt as a filler in a polymer-based composite material fulfils the demand of being natural, environment-friendly material for the production of various composite materials. The material could be used as protective layer and the abrasion should be tested in order to evaluate the properties of the material. The cavitation test enables the evaluation of the possible service in conditions that simulate the extensive erosion. The presence of basalt in the matrix improves the resistance to cavitation. The possibility to further improve the material could be obtained using the reinforcement of the matrix itself by incorporation of submicron ceramic particles into the composite. The obtained hybrid composite material with the addition of reinforcement in the matrix further improves the cavitation resistance.

Abstract The extensive applications of hybrid composite materials in the field of transportation and structural domine provide prominent advantages in the order of stiffness, strength even cost. However extend the advantages of hybrid campsites in several field such as aviation and marine even more additional properties should be inculcate in them. During production of such profitable composites poses some problems at time at decompose and processing. It’s better to develop environment friendly and reusable composites, bio hybrid composite materials such of the one. In this paper, focused on development of Eco-friendly hybrid bio composites with the ingredients of drumstick fibers, glass fiber along with polyester resin. This hybrid bio composites subjected to bending test and evaluate the characteristics of bending properties, this research evident that bending characteristics of hybrid composites with longitudinal fiber orientation better than transverse.

The usage of composite material has been increasing day by day over the years due to the excellent properties being offered by them such as lower volume-to-weight ratio, improved toughness, recyclable, environment friendly and also due to their short cycle productivity, easiness in fabrication, long lasting life span etc. This work presents study of mechanical and tribological behaviour of ABS polymer matrix filled with micron-sized inorganic and Natural / Green fillers. The main purpose behind this work is to compare the performance of composites with different class of fillers. The experimental results unveil that the composite with inorganic fillers perform better than with natural based fillers.

In this study, we combine the coffee slag, metal powder with recycled petrochemical plastics (polystyrene, PS) to prepare circulation composite materials. It is an energy saving and carbon footprint reduction composite material compared with traditional one. The resulted PS/coffee composite has tensile strength 117.5 kgf/cm2 and flexural strength is 314.2 kgf/cm2. The heat deflection temperature (HDT) is 92[Formula: see text]C and the UV test fits the ASTM G154 requirement. The metal gross composite is with tensile strength 318.8 kgf/cm2 and flexural strength is 581.6 kgf/cm2. The HDT is 91[Formula: see text]C and the UV test fits the ASTM G154 requirement as well. Its reuse ratio can reach 85% for recycled PS. The resultant product has metal texture blinds with metal gross and wood-like blinds with coffee aroma flavor.

Abstract Now days, green composite materials are now gaining popularity for the various industrial applications. It is a combination of naturally occurring reinforcement like jute, sisal, flax, hemp, and kenaf; and matrix materials like biopolymers or bio resins which have been derived from starch, and vegetable oils. It is becoming more desirable due to its properties like biodegradability, renewability and environment friendly. The present paper presents the various natural fibers and their combinations with biopolymers. The paper also reflects the key issue related to hydrophilic nature of natural fibers and their remedies for a good fiber and bio polymer adhesion. Furthermore the strategy used and major attributes of the green composite are also discussed.

In the current work characterization of thermal properties are find out to the prepared specimens of silicon filler hybrid composite materials (silicon filler glass – fiber chop strand). The specimens were prepared by hand layup followed by compression molding machine by non-heating molding technique. Thermal conductivity (K), Coefficient thermal expansion (CTE) and Thermal gravimetric analysis (TGA) are found by composite slab method and by thermal muffler oven in a laboratory. The guard heater is used to supply heat which is measured by voltmeter and ammeter. Thermocouples are placed between the interface of the copper plates and the specimen of silicon filled hybrid polymer composite material (HPC), to read the temperatures. By the experimental readings it is found that the K of silicon filler hybrid composite material directly proportional to the % of silicon fillers for the different trails. The CTE inversely varies with % of silicon fillers and in thermal gravimetric analysis the failure of material takes place at 300°C for a time of 20 minutes and also reduction in mass of silicon inserted hybrid composite material. From the results it has been concluded that the considerable enhance in thermal conductivity with negligible decrease in CTE and increase in thermal resistivity of hybrid composite materials.

From past two-three decades there has been a gradual shift from monolithic to composite materials in order to meet the increasing demand for lighter, high performance, environment friendly, corrosion and wear resistant materials. Composite materials are majorly used in massive production like boats, automotive and air craft Industry etc. in order to improve hardness and impact strength. The manufacturing of hybrid composite laminates is difficult to handle by traditional methods and gives size restrictions, wetting, poor surface finish, more number of moulding required for manufacturing. The Hand lay-up chosen as the fabrication technique when product needs smooth finish slight variations in thickness and number of moldings required is less. The moulding made from materials like plastics, wood, clay, plaster or plywood depending on the availability. Hand lay-up technique has been adopted to manufacture the hybrid composite laminated plate (sawdust with 1%, 2% and 3% variation) and impact strength and hardness is to be calculated.

Aims:: The main goals of this research are exploration of energy-efficient building materials when replacing natural materials with industrial waste and development of the theory and practice of obtaining light and ultra-light gravel materials based on mineral binders and waste dump ash and slag mixtures of hydraulic removal. Background.: Experimental data on the conditions of formation of gravel materials containing hollow aluminum and silica microsphere with opportunity of receipt of optimum structure and properties depending on humidity with the using of various binders are presented in this article. This article dwells on the scientific study of opportunity physical-mechanical properties of composite materials optimization are considered. Objective.: Composite material contains hollow aluminum and silica microsphere. Method.: The study is based on the application of the method of separation of power and heat engineering functions. The method is based on the use of the factor structure optimality, which takes into account the primary and secondary stress fields of the structural gravel material. This indicates the possibility of obtaining gravel material with the most uniform distribution of nano - and microparticles in the gravel material and the formation of stable matrices with minimization of stress concentrations. Experiments show that the thickness of the cement shell, which performs power functions, is directly related to the size of the raw granules. At the same time, the thickness of the cement crust, regardless of the type of binder, with increasing moisture content has a higher rate of formation for granules of larger diameter. Results.: The conditions for the formation of gravel composite materials containing a hollow aluminosilicate microsphere are studied. The optimal structure and properties of the gravel composite material were obtained. The dependence of the strength function on humidity and the type of binder has been investigated. The optimal size and shape of binary form of gravel material containing a hollow aluminosilicate microsphere with a minimum thickness of a cement shell and a maximum strength function was obtained. Conclusion.: Received structure allows to separate power and heat engineering functions in material and to minimize the content of the excited environment centers.
