In this study, according to the characteristics of scheelite in run-of-mine, the scheelite was concentrated by adopting the full flotation process with sodium carbonate as regulator agent, sodium silicate as inhibitor for gangue minerals, lead nitrate as activator and ZL pharmacy as collector. 6.15% of the coarse scheelite concentration with tungsten recovery of 96.18% was obtained from the raw ores with grade of 0.86%. The concentration of rough tungsten by heating, by which the high-quality scheelite with tungsten of 62.31% and tungsten concentrate recovery of 93.53% was obtained.

In order to improve the grade and recovery of antimony, antimony ore in the process of flotation, this exploratory experiment by reagent addition, process selection to realize. The main parameters of the first set of experiments; grinding fineness of 70% lead nitrate, 200g, Black Powder 100g, directly add collector, did not add kerosene decarburization, choose a coarse, two sweep, two fine flotation process; and the second group of experiments the main parameters; grinding fineness of 70% 200g, lead nitrate, xanthene’s, the choice of a coarse, two sweep, two fine flotation process. The combination of two different groups of flotation experiment comparison, makes the antimony ore grade and recovery can be increased.

Chengde City boasts a wealth of high-quality mineral water resources characterized by a high level of strontium (Sr), a low level of sodium, and low alkalinity. In order to study the mechanism of formation of Sr-bearing mineral water in Chengde and to scientifically guide future mineral water exploration, taking three typical mineral water exploration areas in Chengde as examples, this paper studies the sources of Sr in mineral water and the general rules of its dissolution via a laboratory static leaching experiment and impact experiments, and it provides an analysis of the characteristics of typical rock samples. The research results indicate that the content of Sr in surrounding rock and the characteristics of minerals existing in surrounding rock jointly control the dissolution of Sr in water; that CO2 can promote the formation of mineral water containing Sr; and that temperature increases may boost the dissolution of Sr from carbonate minerals but also inhibit the dissolution of Sr from silicate minerals.

An experimental study is reported to characterise the femtosecond (FS) laser grooving process for Germanium (Ge) substrates. The effects of process parameters, including laser fluence, pulse repetition rate and scan speed, on the groove characteristics, material removal rate (MRR) and heat affected zone (HAZ) size are discussed. It is shown that with properly selected process parameters, high quality micro-grooves can be obtained on Ge wafers. Recommendations are finally made on the selection of the most appropriate process parameters for FS micro-grooving of Ge substrates.

FTIR, XPS, and ab initio molecular dynamics studies demonstrated that sodium silicate (Na2SiO3) adsorbs on fluorite with a higher affinity when they are treated beforehand by sodium carbonate (Na2CO3) due to proton exchange(s).

The research has conducted a experimental research on the issues in modifier of flotation process in a molybdenum ore concentrating mill in Inner Mongolia. The results show that: when the raw ore is grinded into 61% -200 meshes, which is the same to the site production ore, the sorting index is optimum in neutral magma condition; and for dispersing agent, the sorting effect of sodium silicate is better than sodium hexametaphosphate, and the confirmed sufficient quality of sodium silicate is 300g/t.
