2 × 660MW ultra-supercritical units of O'Brien Power Plant are single configuration of auxiliary pilot project, due to the higher its parameters and performance requirements, it need better control strategies to ensure safe and economical operation. Against traditional cascade PID main steam’s temperature control system delaying large, this article proposed control strategy based on Smith estimated. Main steam’s temperature controlled object inert zone mathematical model can be showed by multi-volume model, and use the improved system for large inertia Smith Predictor to make dynamic parameter control systems improvements. Simulation results of the simulation machine show that: Optimization emperor steam temperature control is in an adjustable range and the policy in separate auxiliary units is feasible.

AbstractDespite the advanced technologies used in recent years, the lack of robust systems still exists. The automated steering system is a critical and complex task in the domain of the autonomous vehicle’s applications. This paper is a part of project that deals with model-based control strategy as one of the most common control strategies. The main objective is to present the implementations of Model Predictive Control (MPC) for an autonomous vehicle steering system in regards to trajectory tracking application. The obtained results are analysed and the efficiency of the use of MPC controller were discussed based on its behaviour and performance.

With the progress of science and technology, material application science has developed rapidly. As a kind of new material, the semiconductor refrigeration material has been well applied. Based on that, this essay studies semiconductor thermoelectric cooler temperature control system based on MCU and its application. The research indicates that by controlling power supply’s unit circuit with power dissipation, the system controls the working condition (refrigeration / heating switch, adjustable power) of semiconductor thermoelectric cooler to achieve the goal of measuring and controlling the temperature of some equipment, guaranteeing their proper functioning. The system is easy to operate, and it works safely and reliably, which could meet the overall performance requirements, and is of great application prospect and promotion value.

The aim of the study was to evaluate the influence of different temperature control systems on the voluntary feed intake (VFI), percentage of weight loss (PWL) and performance of lactating sows as well as on the weight of their piglets. Two systems were used: traditional temperature control system (TTCS) with curtain management and an evaporative snout cooling system (ESCS). The study was performed during the summer of 2011. After farrowing and at the weaning, 241 sows were weighed to evaluate the PWL during lactation. TTCS sows lost more weight (5.3±0.9%; P<0.05) than ESCS sows (2.2±0.9%). VFI was measured at intervals of four days in 32 primiparous and 39 multiparous sows. ESCS sows had higher VFI (5.8±0.2kg day-1; P<0.05) than TTCS sows (4.8±0.2kg day-1). Primiparous sows (4.4±0.2kg day-1) had a lower VFI than multiparous sows (6.3±0.2kg day-1, P<0.05) regardless of the temperature control system. Primiparous sows in the TTCS (10.9±1.3 days) had a longer weaning-to-oestrus interval than primiparous sows in the ESCS (7.0±1.2 days, P<0.05). Subsequent litter size tended to be higher (P=0.095) in ESCS than in TTCS (12.0±0.5 and 10.9±0.6 piglets born, respectively). Litters housed in ESCS were heavier (65.3±1.4kg; P<0.05) at weaning than litters in TTCS (60.7±1.4kg). The results suggest that in general sows and piglets housed in the ESCS have better performance than sows and piglets housed in TTCS.

Abstract. For the complexity of the fermentation process, the paper adopts SPCE061A MCU to control the temperature of fermentation tank, and gives the hardware and software design methods for the system. Smith predictor is used in the design as compensation to the traditional PID control, which can overcome the effect of large lag and inertia on the stability of temperature control system and offer better robustness. So the quality of the system is greatly improved.

This paper describes a method for software design and proposes a control strategy for data processing in temperature control system. According to the proposed method, a combined feed-forward plus PID control is proposed, with additional temperature sensors, the major load disturbance attached to the system is measured. The experimental results demonstrate that the temperature control strategy significantly improves the dynamic performance on the control process.
