Vi konkluderer dog med diverse forbehold herunder, at undervisere skal lære at bruge et virtuelt laboratorium kritisk og med forberedelse før implementeringAbstract in EnglishThe virtual laboratory is a necessary complement to the future of learning bioscience. The virtual lab is a technology-based mock-up compared to the real lab. This virtual lab needs to be available for various purposes e.g. all day for a growing number of students. There are economical and ethical arguments for using the virtual lab. But in order to function as an optimal instructional strategy they need to be rethought technologically and pedagogically. Such a digital supplement requires a focus on implementation and other facilities and capabilities - including continuing education for the trainers and faculty. This paper discusses the virtual lab and reports from a pilot project where pharmacology students and teachers used a virtual lab. We argue that the virtual lab has important implications and represent an economically justifiable alternative. The virtual lab is juxtaposed with the classical lab through the lenses of habitus and hexis. We argue that educators must learn to use virtual laboratories critically and with preparation for implementation. Furthermore the paper discusses the educational potentials and limitations of the virtual lab compared with the classical laboratory as teaching environment.

The article is devoted to the problem of the educational environment of higher educational establishments as the factor of forming the future foreing languages teachers’ conflict competence. In this article, the essence of the following notions has been analyzed: educational environment in higher educational establishments, teaching environment, educational space. The notions of «educational space» and «teaching environment» have been given detailed description; the notion of «educational environment» is regarded in contemporary scientific literature from the point of view of institutional approach (social environment) and substantial approach (personal environment). The author of the article notes that the educational environment of a higher educational establishment is viewed as the system of different impacts and conditions for creating personality with the help of modern technologies and educational content. Also it is regarded as complex phenomenon of requirements and modes of behavior which are used for professional and personal growth of future teachers. The author claims that the notions of «educational environment» and «educational space» are closely connected: an educational space is defined as a special sphere of sociocultural practices that includes educational environment as the total of social and educational conditions which influence the personality of a student and its future professional orientation. While analyzing the structure of educational environment the author examined its components taking into consideration the peculiarities of professional growth of the future teachers of foreign languages: resourse-technological, intrapersonal, strategic-technological, sociocultural and communicative. These structural elements of analyzed phenomenon have been given detailed observation. It is also noted that the investigation of the structure of educational environment is interconnected with the topic under consideration – the formation of conflict competence of the future foreign languages teachers. The prospects for further exploration are seen by the author in highlighting a strategic line for the formation of the future foreign languages teachers’ conflictual competence with the application of certain pedagogical technologies in the educational environment of higher education institutions.

Considering the contradiction between limited node resources and high detection costs in mobile multimedia networks, an adaptive and lightweight abnormal node detection algorithm based on artificial immunity and game theory is proposed in order to balance the trade-off between network security and detection overhead. The algorithm can adapt to the highly dynamic mobile multimedia networking environment with a large number of heterogeneous nodes and multi-source big data. Specifically, the heterogeneous problem of nodes is solved based on the non-specificity of an immune algorithm. A niche strategy is used to identify dangerous areas, and antibody division generates an antibody library that can be updated online, so as to realize the dynamic detection of the abnormal behavior of nodes. Moreover, the priority of node recovery for abnormal nodes is decided through a game between nodes without causing excessive resource consumption for security detection. The results of comparative experiments show that the proposed algorithm has a relatively high detection rate and a low false-positive rate, can effectively reduce consumption time, and has good level of adaptability under the condition of dynamic nodes.

Purpose The organization’s core approach to exploring and influencing the future, Framework Foresight, emerged from piecemeal roots in the 1990s to an established method circa 2013. Since then, it has evolved from primarily a teaching tool to a project methodology in its own right. The purpose of this paper is to explore the iterative process that has emerged in which teaching and practice inform and advance one another. Design/methodology/approach Innovations in technique will be highlighted and illustrated by commentary from project experience. The piece will be providing readers with a birds-eye view into the evolution of a foresight method in both theory and practice. Findings The continuous iteration between theory and practice, or the classroom and the client world, provides an excellent means to advance the teaching and practice of foresight. Significant changes include three horizons, inputs, drivers, archetypes, rating scenarios and strategic approach. Practical implications This paper suggests that closer relationships between academia and the external/client world provide practical benefit by improving teaching and providing more innovative approaches for clients. Originality/value The description of the development of this unique approach to doing foresight work provides an example for other programs or firms to emulate.
