Robotics is actually one of the most important technologies; which in the last year has been developing very fast. It’s interdisciplinary since combine mechanics, automatic, electric, and computer since. This paper presents generally the problems in navigation which should be solved by all who wants to build such educational and mobile robots [1, 3, 5, and 7]. For this reason the mechanical structure, module of communication, digital sonar and main board of autonomous and mobile robot for laboratory tasks has been described [2, 4]. After that the operation principle was given and some of the realized tests have been shown. A next possibility of development of the robot has been presented. Moreover the way, which satisfies the need of the large computational power on usually small platforms of mobile robots and the most advantageous sorts of the power supply from the point of view of the robot which realizes specify functions has been described. At the end of paper the conclusions has been extracted. Wide laboratory tests of the robot presented in this paper fully confirm all guideliness. In spite of fact that the device is very simple and very cheep, succesfully meet tasks in teaching, and enables students to meet fascinating subject of the mobile robots. Possibility of extension this subject can be continued during realization of other programs.

SUMMARYThe effect on failure rates of the way tele-operators interact with mobile robots is investigated. Human tele-operators attempted to move a robot through progressively more complicated environments with reducing gaps, as quickly as possible. Tele-operators used a joystick and either watched robots, while operating them, or used a computer screen to view scenes remotely. Cameras were either mounted on the robot to view the space ahead of the robot or mounted remotely so that they viewed both the environment and robot. Tele-operators completed tests both with and without sensors. Both an umbilical cable and a radio link were used.

The robots operate in a specific environment, the characteristics of which may remain constant or variable over time. While battery technology is of great interest for mobile robots, but it is not reliable in the time, there are several strategies for the storage of energy, as well as strategies for harvesting energy from the environment in various ways and energy management using sophisticated control techniques to improve power supply costs. One of these strategies is to use solar energy to power mobile robots. The solar cells appearance is due to the need to supply power spacecraft since not require maintenance for a period of time.

Based on the analysis of the research background and current situation of the legged mobile robots at home and abroad, in this paper we discusses the existing research methods of the legged mobile robot in the mechanical structure design; discusses the mainproblems in the design of the mobile robot, and to focus on the emergence of instability and poor adaptability and obstacle-surmounting performance of the legged mobile robot to find the corresponding solution in the process of movement.

ABSTRACT The distributions of 13 variables based on 10 laboratory tests measuring thyroid function were studied in euthyroid controls and in patients with toxic diffuse or toxic multinodular goitre. Density functions were fitted to the empirical data and the goodness of fit was evaluated by the use of the χ2-test. In a few instances there was a significant difference but the material available was in some respects too small to allow a very accurate estimation. The normal limits for each variable was defined by the 2.5 and 97.5 percentiles. It appears that in some instances these limits are too rigorous from the practical point of view. It is emphasized that the crossing point of the functions for euthyroid controls and hyperthyroid patients may be a better limit to use. In a preliminary analysis of the diagnostic efficiency the variables of total or free hormone concentration in the blood proved clearily superior to all other variables.

ResumenEl trabajo analiza el curso Ética Profesional en la carrera de Derecho en la Universidad Católica de Temuco. Examina la forma como se abordaba la ética profesional antes de la creación del curso, y lo que ha ocurrido con él a través de sucesivos cambios curriculares y la introducción del modelo por competencias. El curso aporta al sello identitario, mediante un enfoque multidisciplinario. El curso ha vinculado teoría y práctica, desde que comenzó a implementarse, hasta llegar actualmente a comprenderlo en la lógica de competencias. Esta mirada implica formar a los estudiantes para resolver dilemas éticos, lo que se hace mediante la metodología del ver–juzgar–actuar. Esta metodología de discernimiento es propia de la tradicióncatólica, pero se usa en este contexto sin un cariz religioso. El método en cuestión permite ir educando la autonomía a fn de tomar decisiones. Se analiza la importancia de contextualizar la enseñanza ética y la forma como esto se ha hecho en el curso. It reviews the way in which ethics was addressed before the course was created, and what has happened with it through the subsequent curricular changes and the implementation of a competency based model. The course contributes to the seal of identity through a multidisciplinary approach. Theory and practice have been progressively bound together since the course was introduced, to reach a point, nowadays, in which the course is understood within the logic of competencies. This point of view implies educating students for solving ethical dilemmas, which is done through the see–judge–act methodology. This discernment methodology belongs to the Roman Catholic tradition, but is used in this context without its religious complexion. This method allows educating autonomy in order to make decisions. It also analyses the importance of contextualizing ethics education and the way in which this has been done in the course. Finally, it addresses the relevance ofcreating an ethical consciousness of the students.Keywords: Teaching experience – Professional Ethics – Discernment method

In order to provide information on the way in which use of drugs - and of alcohol and tobacco -among young people changes over a period of time, the Norwegian National Institute for Alcohol Research has each spring, since 1968, conducted a survey of the youth of Oslo to determine their use of these drugs. The results are of significance not only from a scientific point of view but also from the point of view of practical policy-making. For instance, since 1974 there does not seem to have been any increase in alcohol consumption among the youth of Oslo, a fact which may reflect the measures which were introduced at that time in order to curb alcohol consumption among young people in Norway.

What is remix today? No longer a controversy, no longer a buzzword, remix is both everywhere and nowhere in contemporary media. This article examines this situation, looking at what remix now means when it is, for the most part, just an accepted part of the media landscape. I argue that remix should be looked at from an ethnographic point of view, focused on how and why remixes are used. To that end, this article identifies three ways of conceptualizing remix, based on intention rather than content: the aesthetic, communicative, and conceptual forms. It explores the history of (talking about) remix, looking at the tension between seeing remix as a form of art and remix as a mode of ‘talking back’ to the media, and how those tensions can be resolved in looking at the different ways remix originated. Finally, it addresses what ubiquitous remix might mean for the way we think about archival material, and the challenges this brings for archives themselves. In this way, this article updates the study of remix for a time when remix is everywhere.

Localized feature points, particularly corners, can be computed rapidly and reliably in images, and they are stable over image sequences. Corner points provide more constraint than edge points, and this additional constraint can be propagated effectively from corners along edges. Implemented algorithms are described to compute optic flow and to determine scene structure for a mobile robot using stereo or structure from motion. It is argued that a mobile robot may not need to compute depth explicitly in order to navigate effectively.

This article examines the use of a presumption of illegality by local police officers to enforce a deportation regime in the Northwest Arkansas region. We employed an integrated racialized legal violence model to understand the way officers and immigration authorities collaborate to screen immigrants’ legal status for deportation purposes. Rather than focusing on how collaborations operate from an institutional point of view, the article provided a detailed and rich experiential description of participants’ realities shaped by the interplay of migration policy and local police practices. We concluded that the screening tactics used by local police in the cases considered in this article reflect a form of racialized legal violence intended to enforce a deportation regime against unauthorized people of Latino origin from this Arkansas area.
