The coronavirus has closed adults and children at home. We communicate by phone or the Internet. Life has moved online, it has lost its rhythm within traditional systems of school and work. As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic spreading around the globe, many states have introduced numerous limitations in adults’ and children’s social functioning. The majority of education and care institutions have been closed, while companies and institutions whose type of activity allows to do so have decided to transform their work patterns into remote work. This new situation has particularly affected children, who, for their own and their families’ safety, have been cut off from the possibility to participate in activities and events that used to be part of their daily lives. In order to look at this situation and analyse the situation of families with children, an online survey questionnaire was conducted among 158 adults that aimed to collect data from below (from the perspective of reflexive adults looking after children in the situation of spatial-mobile limitations). In the article, we discuss changes in parents’ and children’s lives and analyse the social background of the areas discussed.

INDUSTRIAL BASED CURRICULUM IMPLEMETATION AT SMK MITRA INDUSTRI MM2100 CIKARANG-BEKASIThis study aims to obtain a fact-based picture in the form of data and information regarding the implementation of an industry-based curriculum at SMK Mitra Industri MM2100. This study uses a qualitative method, which is to make a complex and comprehensive picture with detailed descriptions from the eyes of the informants to produce a comprehensive exposure based on clear and real findings, events, processes and results related to the implementation of an industry-based curriculum. Data obtained through interviews, field observations and documentation studies. Based on data analysis, the following results are obtained: 1). The curriculum development model used at SMK Mitra Industri MM2100, is a model of curriculum development that is problem-centered by integrating several disciplines to form a concept of attitudes, skills and knowledge in accordance with the demands and needs of the industry which are oriented to the vision, mission and goals of the school. 2). The learning process at SMK Mitra Industri MM2100 uses a block system, which is designed to be oriented towards the merging of instruction and construction, so that the learning process approach refers to the dual base program to fully and fully cultivate industrial work patterns. 3). Challenges and obstacles in the implementation of industrial-based curriculum in SMK Mitra Industri MM2100 in the form of not wanting to change the principles of school/mental blockage, focusing on knowledge, school target is focus on graduation of students, not on the distribution of work at industries and bad networking with industry which can be overcome through socialization to all elements of the school and stakeholders involved.


The article presents the results of a sociological study, the purpose of which was to conduct a comparative analysis of the lifestyle and medical activity of children with diabetes mellitus and healthy children aged three to six years according to sociological surveys of their parents. The data was collected using a specially designed questionnaire consisting of 36 questions. The study was conducted in 2019 in children's polyclinics in Khabarovsk, Komsomolsk-on-Amur, Birobidzhan. The study involved 84 people. The results of the study were analyzed using relative and average values. Significant differences in the lifestyle and medical activity of families with children with diabetes mellitus and healthy children were revealed.

This chapter introduces the members of the 7008er network at the occasion of a significant gathering, when seven families with children born from the same sperm donor come together at a hotel in the Midwest. From the beginning, the children in this network seek to construct themselves as a family. Love, trust, and harmony serve as guideposts in the unscripted land of donor-linked families. They also use structures they know from traditional families, such as a sibling pecking order. As the group expands to incorporate new members, the original narrative of family membership fails to describe the reality of competing allegiances among teenagers. Instead of remaining a coherent group, the members of this network break into a number of separate factions. Born between 1995 and 2001, the kids interviewed are between fifteen and nineteen years old.

Belgium has been plagued by comparatively high levels of child poverty, and by a creeping, yet significant, increase that started in the good years before the crisis. This is related to the relatively high share of jobless households, the extremely high and increasing poverty risk of children growing up in these households, and benefits that are inadequate to shield jobless families with children from poverty. Although the impact of the Great Recession was limited in Belgium, the crisis seems to have had an impact on child poverty, by increasing the number of children living in work-poor households. Although the Belgian welfare state had an important cushioning impact, its poverty-reducing capacity was less strong than it used to be. The most important lesson from the crisis is that in order to make further headway in reducing child poverty, not only activation but also social protection should be improved.
