Psychological forces and the efficiency of work terms in a chemical industry. The aim of this study was to determine the possible relationship between team effectiveness as measured by job satisfaction and interpersonal trust on the one hand, and psychological strengths as measured by sense of coherence, self efficacy, and locus of control on the other hand. The Minnesota Satisfaction Questionnaire, Interpersonal Trust Scale, Sense of Coherence Questionnaire, Locus of Control Questionnaire and Self-efficacy Questionnaire were administered to 66 team members in the different branches of a chemical industry. An availability sample was used in this research. The results of the empirical study confirm a correlation of moderate effect between job satisfaction and self-efficacy of members of the work teams. A moderate correlation was also found between an external locus of control and interpersonal trust of members of work teams.

Job satisfaction is a complex variable and is influenced by situational factors of the job environment as well as dispositional characteristics of the individual. Recently there has been renewed interest in the role of dispositional characteristics in predicting work-related outcomes. The aim of this study was to determine the possible relationship between the dispositional factors of sense of coherence, locus of control and self-efficacy on the one hand, and job satisfaction on the other. The study population included 624 employees of 7 organisations. Sense of coherence, locus of control and self-efficacy were found to be related constructs, but only sense of coherence and locus of control were significantly related to job satisfaction. Sense of coherence, locus of control and self-efficacy predicted 30 per cent of the variance in total job satisfaction.

The objective of this article is to report on the relationships between social workers’ sense of coherence, self-efficacy and locus of control on the one hand and burnout on the other hand, and the extent to which these variables can predict their burnout. A survey design was used. The study population consisted of 107 social workers. Four questionnaires were used in the research, namely the Orientation to Life Questionnaire, the General Perceived Self-Efficacy Scale, the Work of Locus of Control Scale and the Maslach Burnout Inventory. The results showed that practically significant relationships exist between social workers’ sense of coherence, self-efficacy and locus of control on the one hand and burnout on the other hand. ’n Opnameontwerp is gebruik.

Shared satisfaction in teams is crucial for team functioning and performance. However, it is still unclear how and why team members’ job satisfaction transforms into a shared team property. Based on affective events theory, I test hypotheses about situational, dispositional, and social antecedents of satisfaction homogeneity with a comprehensive model. Path analyses based on data from 415 team members working in 110 teams suggest that job satisfaction homogeneity primarily depends on characteristics of the working environment. Experiencing similar affective job events increased the likelihood of shared satisfaction by inducing shared affect. Team members’ personality traits (core self-evaluations) had indirect and small effects on satisfaction homogeneity. Unlike earlier studies, there was no evidence that social interaction leads to agreement in job satisfaction. Additionally, I partly replicated the finding that satisfaction homogeneity moderates the team-level satisfaction–team performance relationship.

Previous research has highlighted various antecedents of job insecurity, both in cross-sectional research and in a recent meta-analysis. A review of this literature indicates that work locus of control actually is the only personality antecedent that has received considerable attention, while sense of coherence may also be an important factor to consider. Data on biographical variables, cognitive and affective job insecurity, work locus of control and sense of coherence were gathered from employees across 3 organisations (N=718), presenting two different sectors (chemical industry and financial services), by means of anonymous surveys. Data were analysed by means of correlations and regression analyses. Results indicate that both work locus of control and sense of coherence play a role in predicting job insecurity, even after controlling for biographical variables. Considering their individual contributions, it is suggested here that sense of coherence may be even more important than work locus of control as a personality antecedent of job insecurity.

In this study, researchers used respondent data, such as gender, age and duration  of work of respondents to be able to provide information about the characteristics of  respondents. The study population was employees in the Hj. Bunda Halimah Hospital  Batam, which consists of doctors and health workers such as nurses, midwives and  administrative staff. The sample is determined by the number of sample members  (sample size) 55 people by proportional random sampling technique. 15 doctors and 40  health employees. This study is the result of a field study to obtain questionnaire answer  data that measures five main variables in this study, namely locus Of Control, Self  Efficacy And Discipline Of Work, Job Satisfaction on Work Motivation of employees in  the Hj. Bunda Halimah Hospital Batam. The instrument was developed based on  theoretical studies, then defined in conceptual definitions, operational definitions, and  developed through lattice instruments and technical techniques. Knitted data analysis uses  descriptive statistics and statistical analysis to test the significance of path coefficients,  descriptive statistics to present data in the form of frequency distribution tables,  histograms, and the number of statistics such as media, modes, averages, variants, and  foreign standards. exchange. Statistical tests are used to test the significance of path  coefficients using Partial Least Square (PLS) which is a Multivariate Analysis in the  second generation using structural equation modeling (SEM). PLS can be used for a  small number of samples, and of course with a large number of samples will be better  able to improve the accuracy of estimates. PLS does not require the assumption that data  distribution must be normal or not. The construct form can use a reflective or formative  model in which from the results of statistical analysis, the relationship between variables  formulated in the formulation of a problem as many as 7 pieces obtained significant  results.

Job satisfaction is a complex variable and is influenced by situational factors of the job environment as well as dispositional characteristics of an individual. The aim of this study was to determine the possible relationship between locus of control and job satisfaction. The Locus of Control Questionnaire and Minnesota Satisfaction Questionnaire were administered on 101 senior police members in the North West Province. The results of the empirical study confirm a correlation of large effect between locus of control (combination of internal control, external control and autonomy) and job satisfaction of senior police personnel. A moderate negative correlation was also found between an external locus of control and the job satisfaction of senior police personnel.

Organisational climate, defined as psychological atmosphere, was measured by means of 14 climate and four managerial support dimensions. Salutogenic functioning, referring to the origins of psychological health, was measured as the constructs sense of coherence, self-efficacy and locus of control. A representative sample of 245 mining personnel was used. Climate correlates significantly with sense of coherence and locus of control, and through these, with self-efficacy. It is recommended that Industrial Psychologists can act as facilitators in improving organisational climate by monitoring and enhancing the level of salutogenic functioning amongst its managers and staff members.

Personality distinctions between entrepreneurs, nonfounder CEOs/leaders, and inventor employees have received limited attention, especially in innovative settings where they are working together. We surveyed these groups, along with other employees of innovative firms, at 4 locations of a prominent innovation and coworking center. Entrepreneurs display the greatest tolerance of risk, even in small gambles, as well as the strongest self-efficacy, internal locus of control, and need for achievement. Nonfounder CEOs/leaders typically sit in between entrepreneurs and employees for personality traits. Entrepreneurs, nonfounder CEOs/leaders, and inventor employees all show more innovative personalities than the noninventor employees in the same companies.
