Reproductive health is a major problem that occurs in Indonesian adolescents. The problem is caused by some factors, including free sex that could induce reproductive organ diseases such as cervical cancer, ovarian cancer, vulvar cancer, uterine cancer, prostate cancer and sexually transmitted diseases. Incidence of various reproductive health problems is caused by a lack of knowledge about reproductive health. This issue needs to get attention from various parties, including teachers. However, some teachers are less understood about how to deliver reproductive health materials properly. This study aims to determine knowledge and attitudes of teacher candidates about reproductive biology. This study is a descriptive analytic study. The subjects were students of biology education at Jambi University who are in 5th and 7th semesters of academic year 2011/2012 (174 students).  The data was collected using tests and questionnaires. The results show that knowledge of the biology teacher candidates about the reproductive health is categorized as low (43​​%).  The attitude of biology teacher candidates about reproductive biology is classified as positive (64%). The formation of attitudes toward reproductive health is influenced by several factors including knowledge, experience, guidance from parents, social environment, mass media, cultural, and social institutions.

The purpose of this study is to determine the awareness of teacher candidates about instructional technologies and materials and the ways of giving place in instruction by integrating them with different activities, to reveal opinions about their usage. Seventeen female and eight male, in total twenty five participants are sampling. The ages of the participants within the group heterogeneous between twenty two and thirty five.According to the purpose, the opinions of the teachers candidates who have been taken ‘Instructional Technology and Material Design’ lesson in the ‘Pedagogical Formation Training Certificate Program’ which is a pre-service teacher training program and have been practiced learning outputs of this lesson in other practical instruction lessons and in their lectures in the teaching internship school, were taken by writing. In this context the study is designed as a qualitative research. The findings are presented in thematically coded and supported by mind maps as visuals.It has been seen that teacher candidates are focused on different instructional technologies and materials that they learned in the Instructional Technology and Material Design’ lesson. In addition different experiences of teacher candidates about the usage of instructional technologies and materials have been identified.

Data, discursive and methodological analysis, from the perspective of Communication and Education gender studies, are applied aiming media literacy for a responsive citizenship in the fight against trafficking in women and girls. Questioning gender violence in misinformation, fake news, post-truths, and malicious intentions. Media literacy, co-education and collective awareness function as strategies of action to combat the trafficking of (young) women, which reaches alarming degrees in the 21st century, including during the global pandemic of COVID-19.

The purpose of this research study was to help inform the researcher’s future practice as a teacher on the influence of technology on young learners. The question of inquiry pertained to define how technology has initiated and increased student engagement within their learning, and through this, how technology has specifically influenced the creation of the 21st century learner. By beginning the inquiry through a literature review on the theme of technology and student engagement, the researcher was able to gain an understanding that technology is the motivator for children in developed, and even in undeveloped countries. In order to assess the relationship of technology and student engagement in learning, along with how digital devices influence the creation of 21st century learners, the researcher surveyed a variety of teacher candidates and university students to draw conclusions. From the research findings of the study, the researcher concluded that students were attracted to technology as it is a tool that is convenient in organizing information, and is efficient in making data easier to allocate. Therefore, the skills that technology imparted upon 21st century learners from the findings were allowing students to become self-directed learners, access and, evaluate information through critical thinking and solving data to become more engaged thinkers, and influencing leadership and collaboration skills.

Through collaboration, teacher librarians aid teachers in embedding multiple literacies skills across the curriculum. As school leaders and technological resources, teacher librarians have the necessary skills to teach digital, information, and media literacy to students. Collaboration enhances student achievement. Through a social constructivist platform, teachers and teacher librarians can teach the 21st century skills needed to prepare students for future employment.

As one of the 21st century skills, media literacy refers to the ability of individuals to critically evaluate and creatively produce representations in a variety of media. A rapid changing world of media, information and communication, which is reshaping the future of work trends, changes literacy demands and requires more complex literacy skills. Thus, it is necessary for students to build the 21st century literacy skills through technology-integrated instructions and classroom practices. In particular, this chapter aims to raise awareness of the relevance of media literacy in teaching English as a Foreign Language (EFL) and EFL teacher education. This chapter provides an evolution of media literacy with its origin, explores the competencies of media literacy, analyzes various frameworks for media literacy education, and elaborates on different teaching approaches. Based on this review, a conceptual framework for media literacy competencies in teacher education is proposed. Additionally, this chapter offers recommendations for best practices of media literacy in EFL classrooms as well as in EFL teachers' preparation and professional development programs.

This chapter starts with an exploration of the media literacy literature and its place in the developing 21st century. The literature suggests that media literacy should be considered as one of the capstones for the skills needed for the 21st century citizens. In terms of developing media literacy skills, scholars look at the concept from either cognitive or social perspective, and the review reveals that both of them are closely related to each other. Moreover, the study asserts that cognitive and metacognitive skills play a significant role in developing the media literacy and the skills for 21st century. Then, the chapter presents a city-wide activity done in Bayburt, Turkey. It is our assumption that the case presented here may be an inspiring example for whom may want to explore different approaches.

We are entering into a milieu which makes the global world look much smaller because of digital communications and technologies. More recently, there has also been a coming together of participants from the media world such as those in cinema and animation with those from the technology sectors. This partnership forms what we now know as interactive and digital media (or IDM). In this chapter, the authors aim to articulate the importance of IDM literacies in relation to the 21st century. They attempt to clarify the distinctions between ICT (information and communications technology) and IDM, and from their analysis, they propose a matrix integrating both.
