The main objective of this research work is to investigate the performance of automobile transmission gearbox under the influence of thermal properties variation of gearbox lubricant. An assumption has been made that the air-gear oil mist within transmission is under steady state condition, in isothermal equilibrium with the transmission gear oil bath of lubricant. The lubrication in multi speed transmission is subjected to thermo-elastohydrodynamic lubrication. The study here analyzed transmission in second gear pair. In full torque loading condition the high temperature generated due to meshing action of gears and frictional conditions between the transmission gear train changes the thermo-physical property of gear oil. The overall vehicle transmission gearbox performance is governed by the gear oil properties and it also effects the fuel consumption. This research study was performed at two higher different temperature range of gear oil.The analysis result shows that the gearbox oil thermal properties directly effect the performance and life span of automobile transmission gearbox.

A generalized formulation for analyzing speeds and forces of the gear components of planetary automatic transmissions is proposed. The formulation is capable of analyzing any typical one-degree-of-freedom automatic transmission gear train containing any number of simple, compound or complex-compound planetary gear sets. It consists of three components: a kinematic analysis formulation, a gear ratio and kinematic configuration search algorithm, and a power flow analysis formulation. The kinematics module computes rotational speeds of gears and carriers. Given the type and number of planetary gear sets, the search module determines all possible kinematic configurations and gear tooth count combinations that result in a required set of gear ratios while eliminating all kinematic redundancies and unfavorable clutching sequences. The third component, the power-flow analysis formulation, performs a complete static force (power flow) analysis to determine all gear and bearing forces, and clutch and connection torque values. A five-speed transmission example is considered to highlight the capabilities of the proposed formulation.

The planetary reducer has both internal incentive of varying mesh stiffness and external incentive of eccentric quality, which are prone to vibration and noise at work. This paper use ANSYS Workbench to build model, divide grid and carry out modal analysis for transmission gear train of Planetary reducer, and calculate the 6 order modes. The modal analysis result is compared with excited frequency and natural frequency respectively. This paper’s modal analysis is more accuracy, more rational and more scientific than the previous experience design and statics analysis. It not only provides the useful date for acoustic analysis of planetary reducer, but also provides theory basis for avoiding planetary reducer resonance, and lays a foundation for the whole system dynamic response calculation and analysis.

At production of fabrics, including fabrics for agricultural purpose, an important role is played by the cor-rect adjustment of operation of machine main regulator. The quality of setup of machine main controller is determined by the proper selection of rotation angle of warp beam weaving per one filling thread. In the pro-cess of using the regulator as a result of mistakes in adjustment, wear of transmission gear and backlashes in connections of details there are random changes in threads length. The purpose of the article is the research of property of random errors of basis giving by STB machine regulator. Mistakes can be both negative, and positive. In case of emergence only negative or only positive mistakes operation of the machine becomes im-possible as there will be a consecutive accumulation of mistakes. As a result of experimental data processing for stable process of weaving and the invariable diameter of basis threads winding of threads it is revealed that the random error of giving is set up as linear function of the accidental length having normal distribution. Measurements of accidental deviations in giving of a basis by the main regulator allowed to construct a curve of normal distribution of its actual length for one pass of weft thread. The presented curve of distribution of random errors in giving of a basis is the displaced curve of normal distribution of the accidental sizes. Also we define the density of probability of normal distribution of basis giving errors connected with a margin er-ror operation of the main regulator knowing of which allows to plan ways of their decrease that is important for improvement of quality of the produced fabrics.

Conventional methods of design to be completed ordinary hydraulic transmission gear gearbox design, but for such a non-planet-rule entity, and the deformation of the planet-gear contact stress will have a great impact on the planet gear, it will be very difficult According to conventional design. In this paper, ANSYS software to the situation finite element analysis, the planetary gear to simulate modeling study.

In this paper, a piezoelectric wave-energy converter (PWEC), consisting of a buoy, a frequency up-conversion mechanism, and a piezoelectric power-generator component, is developed. The frequency up-conversion mechanism consists of a gear train and geared-linkage mechanism, which converted lower frequencies of wave motion into higher frequencies of mechanical motion. The slider had a six-period displacement compared to the wave motion and was used to excite the piezoelectric power-generation component. Therefore, the operating frequency of the piezoelectric power-generation component was six times the frequency of the wave motion. The developed, flexible piezoelectric composite films of the generator component were used to generate electrical voltage. The piezoelectric film was composed of a copper/nickel foil as the substrate, lead–zirconium–titanium (PZT) material as the piezoelectric layer, and silver material as an upper-electrode layer. The sol-gel process was used to fabricate the PZT layer. The developed PWEC was tested in the wave flume at the Tainan Hydraulics Laboratory, Taiwan (THL). The maximum height and the minimum period were set to 100 mm and 1 s, respectively. The maximum voltage of the measured value was 2.8 V. The root-mean-square (RMS) voltage was 824 mV, which was measured through connection to an external 495 kΩ resistive load. The average electric power was 1.37 μW.

A new nonlinear dynamics model of the double helical planetary gear train with 44 degrees of freedom is developed, and the coupling effects of the sliding friction, time-varying meshing stiffness, gear backlashes, axial stagger as well as gear mesh errors, are taken into consideration. The solution of the differential governing equation of motion is solved by variable step-size Runge-Kutta numerical integration method. The influence of tooth friction on the periodic vibration and nonlinear vibration are investigated. The results show that tooth friction makes the system motion become stable by the effects of the periodic attractor under the specific meshing frequency and leads to the frequency delay for the bifurcation behavior and jump phenomenon in the system.
