Citizen participation in collect and distribute information increase the role of the citizen involvement in local issues and increasing the benefits of society for the government and the environment. The contribution of citizens can be useful in helping to deal with environment problems and assist certain parties in meeting data needs, this is commonly referred to as citizen science. In its development, citizen science involvement in providing information began to involve social media as a platform for sharing information. In this study we try to explore citizen science of Indonesia, we conduct case study exploring how citizen in Indonesia used social media such as Twitter in response to one of the country’s worst disaster in 2018 namely Lombok Earthquake. By analyzing these user generate message we may know what the response of Indonesian citizen during event and understand more about citizen science in Indonesia through social media including its role and contribution. The information also may assist local communities in obtaining up-to-date information, providing assistance according to needs of the populace and use to manage and plan disaster relief both during and after the event.

Community service has been carried out in RW 12 Kel. Merjosari Malang to increase the potential and participation of the community in health environment. The increase in the number of Covid-19 patients in Malang Raya, about 3,378 people, presents that the Covid-19 virus has increased drastically both number of patients confirmed positive and patients who died. The problems faced by partners are not understanding the Covid-19 disease, weak resources, limited funds, and difficulty accessing information. The method is socialization by conducting discussions, optimizing citizen resources, monitoring and evaluation. The result is conducting discussions, developing resources, providing training, providing counseling and assistance. Citizen involvement is to provide a place to install spraying equipment, maintain spraying facilities, provide a place to conduct training, provide human resources ready to be trained voluntarily. Citizens' anxiety and restlessness were slightly reduced by increased community understanding. Citizens give a positive assessment of service. This is proven by the percentage of residents giving a positive rating on average 95.68%, consisting of 95.33% giving a positive response, and 4.67% giving a negative response.

<p>The European Union (EU) has undergone constant political and economic integration since its inception in 1952. It has developed from a community in the aftermath of World War Two, into a Union of diverse states with its own political and legal system. It is the best example of international integration and co-operation in the world.  A number of treaties represent the primary law of the EU. The treaties represent the EU’s commitment to promote human rights, freedom, democracy, equality, and the rule of law. The Treaty of Lisbon¹ was introduced and adopted by the Member States to increase participatory democracy within the EU. Originally called the Reform Treaty, it amended the existing EU and EC treaties, providing the EU with the legal framework to meet the future challenges and to respond to the increasing demands of the citizens’ for a more transparent and open institution.  The European Parliament is the only directly elected institution of the EU, and traditionally had the least amount of power of the EU institutions. The Lisbon Treaty attempted to address the so-called democratic deficit through a range of institutional reforms that recognised the importance of European citizen involvement in the EU. Citizen involvement in the EU has also been increased through the implementation of the European Citizens’ Initiative (ECI). The ECI represents a further step towards the EU becoming a true participatory democracy.  This purpose of this paper is to critically assess the democratic involvement of European citizens in the operation of the EU, and how the constitutional foundation of the EU provides for this involvement. The paper will seek to answer to what extent European Citizens’ have the ability to affect real and meaningful change upon the EU, a power that currently sits with the governments of Member States.  Democracy is often associated with the power of the citizens to affect change in the institutions that govern them. The theory of constituent power goes one step further and argues that it gives citizens the ability to alter not only the governing institutions, but the also the power that those institutions exercise. This begins with an introduction of the main institutions of the EU, before moving to discuss the theory of constituent power, before assessing what factors would be necessary for constitutent power to be successful in the EU.  ¹ Official Journal of the European Union 2007 No C 306/1 (herein after referred to as the Treaty of Lisbon). Citizenship education is an integral part of the national education system.Therefore the civic education process needs to be addressed in the curriculum and learning on all paths and levels of education.Functions and roles in the context of achieving national educational objectives, civic education are designed, developed, implemented and evaluated in the context of the embodiment of national education objectives.They are the foundation and frame of mind for understanding and applying civic education.Citizenship education is a very urgent need for the nation in building a safe, comfortable, peaceful, prosperous life.In building a civilized democracy, it needs a generation of intelligent, strong-minded nation.There are several reasons why civic education is urgently needed, firstly, the rise in political literacy and not political literacy and not knowing the workings of democracy and its institutions;Secondly, the increased politichal apathism is demonstrated by the lack of citizen involvement in political processes.The intellectual, emotional, social, and spiritual formation of intelligent citizens is really a demand and necessity.This is where the existence of civic education becomes a very important tool for democratic countries including the state of Indonesia in order to give birth to a generation of nations who know the values of nationality based on Pancasila and have the necessary skills in transforming, actualizing and preserving everything that is owned by NKRI.
