There is an ignorance prevailing among the people on home security these days. They intend it as just as surveillance technologies such as CCTV and other such security system. The security system besides keeping an eye as monitoring the vicinity, it should prevent the mishap. The major mishap that’s predominant is the fire accident caused due to leakage of LPG gas at home. There was ample number of cases investigated and published in the newspapers more often. The proposed system focuses on a system which precludes such mishaps that causes fatal burns and injuries to the lives in that particular vicinity. The system contains gas sensor, PIR sensor and temperature sensor which is used for monitoring and sensing the gas leakage in the kitchen or industry and reacts to it through the micro-controller which turns off the stove/valve by a DC motor that is interfaced with the knob. Also, for a preventive action, it activates the alarm and sends a display text in the other room through Li-Fi communication.

The main idea of gas leakage detection is to implement the security system for detection of gas leakage in closed environment. In present scenario, there are many criteria which are related to gas leakage which affects an innocent people lives and property damage. Implementation of this alert system can be useful for companies, houses, which can save lives of people. In this work, SIM900 (GSM module) is used to perform the chosen task by interfacing Gas sensor (MQ5), Buzzer, Arduino UNO, Stepper Motor(5V) and LCD to display. Initially when there is a leak, the Gas sensor detects it using MQ5 and sound alarm is produced automatically and the leakage of gas is controlled. Also, an SMS based system is setup using GSM Module which sends 3 alerts (messages) to the specified mobile number. Not only detection of gas leakage but also stopping the leakage is equally essential to detection. This project provides an effective in cost and highly accuracy, which not only detect gas leakage but also alerting the people (sound alarm) and turn off main power and gas supplies, and send an SMS. In despite to provide high accuracy, gas sensor MQ-5 has been used and this can be used in application of chemical and hazardous industries where there is a consecutive monitoring of gas leaks. By using different types of gas sensors for various gas, used to identify leaks for every kind of gases. Thus, on designing this project our ultimate aim is to automatically detect and stop leakage in vulnerable premises.

In today's world fuel demand is increasing day by day. Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) is the most used fuel in Kitchen. This is filled in a cylinder in liquid state. These cylinders blast sometimes, the main reason of cylinder blast is gas leakage. So, to avoid this we need to detect the leakage of gas. For this we need an automatic gas leakage detection system which detects leakage of gas and gives alerts. This type of automatic security system can save people from dangerous blasts and prevent accidents. Nowadays IOT (Internet of Things) is widely used in day-to-day life. There are many home appliances which are based on IOT thus it becomes easier to manipulate them. As we know the kitchen is the most important part of our home, but we also heard about the disasters happening in the kitchen due to various reasons and many people lost their lives. There might be various reasons behind the cause of these disasters but the main and mostly happens is due to the leakage of LPG gas from the cylinder. As LPG gas is highly inflammable gas, a small leakage of gas can be costly for human life. So, if we can detect these leakages of gas before it causes any serious issue then we might save many lives.

A major issue that happens in kitchens of houses and/or restaurants is the leakage of gas used as a fuel for cooker stove, which is commonly referred to as LPG (liquefied petroleum gas). LPG leakage may lead to a serious fire or even a deadly explosion that might affect the surrounding people. A substantial solution to avoid such disasters is by stopping its main cause. Therefore designing a device capable of monitoring and detecting such gases can minimize the dangerous and unwanted incidents by LPG leakage. This paper introduces a low cost and energy efficient real-time monitoring system that able to sense different dangerous gases, specifically those used for stove cooker. This system considers the pros of the previously introduced systems and fixes the cons available in those systems. In addition, the manufacturing cost has been taken into consideration. If the system senses any type of LPG gas (there is a gas leakage), it will react by making three different actions. It will make an alert sound to notify the people around the leakage place, send an SMS to two cell phones, and show, on an LCD screen, the leakage location.

With new innovations and technologies world besides being facilitated is also subjected to face the threat of major misadventures and disasters. Likewise, Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) is generally used in household for kitchen in general and gas geysers or heaters in winter. Similarly, industries use it for different causes for instance furnace, boiling and get higher production at cheaper rate. Besides, this gas is igneous gas and can cause potential hazard at any time. Hence, in this paper research is made on Internet of Things (IOT) to reduce the chances of such mishaps by presenting a model of microcontroller-based LPG gas detecting and warning system. Furthermore, it explicates the development of self-directed android based mobile device for gas leakage detection that can be installed in all sort of places. Moreover, this device would be containing MQ6 sensor to detect the unwanted outflow and GPS module to locate particular location of leakage what is more Arduino is installed to disseminate information of leakage to different servers like Smartphones, Email and buzzer and shall give display on LCD. Subsequently, it will send the mobile alert to authorized and concerned authorities to take action with in time and there would be buzzer installed. In addition, this device promises automatic working with no need of human interference and assures reliability, efficiency along with cost-effectiveness check-ups of pipeline.

Due to continuous increase in emission of Greenhouse gases and the rapidly increasing fuel price, many countries in theis concerned with reduction of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) usage in teashops, which contains a mixture of Propane and Butane – both derived from distillation of crude oil. In terms of the by-products of their combustion, the gas released is CO2, which is considered as a greenhouse gas. This project mainly focus on reducing the utilization of LPG’s as much as possible by using solar energy to preheat the water before entering the boiler at Tea shops and in addition auto- ignition setup has been added. Based on the temperature of the water inside the boiler, which is monitored continuously and fed to the microcontroller, the auto- ignition is turned on and gets off. Thus reducing LPG utilization in Tea shops. Added to that, in consideration with safety MQ6 for gas leakage detection, BMP180 for monitoring pressure and boiler water level detection are monitored and maintained. With all these it is able to minimize LPG utilization by 40% – 50% during hot summer.

Our work involves the development of a quadcopter Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) system with remote sensors onboard for monitoring oil and gas pipelines. Two Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) sensors were used for LPG gas leakage detection. The Multiwii software is used to control, track and simulate the 3D motion of the UAV in flight. Using this device, experimental data from field tests were analyzed with MATLAB. Results reveal that the developed system has performed as expected. Thus, our device can be used to enhance asset monitoring and operational safety in the oil industry.

The presence of hazardous LPG gas leakage in a domestic, work place, also, stored gases container gas which exhibits ideal characteristic is use. For that sake, an alarm unit is used to vibrate an alarm which is buzzer. Buzzer gives an audible sign of the presence of LPG volume. The sensors are widely used to detect essence of propane, iso-butane, LPG and even smoke. The sensor has an advantage to combine a sensitivity response time. If the LPG sensor senses gas leak from work place or home, sensor output goes to active low (logic-0) condition. Arduino UNO is used in the project; low signals are overlooked by the Arduino and gas leakage is been noticed by the Arduino. The Arduino UNO turns on the LCD and buzzer. It even turns on the GSM modem after that, it continues to send messages SMS to mobile number specifically mentioned in the program of the source code for alerting danger to the people.

Gas leakage is a major problem with industrial sectors, residential premises and gas powered vehicles like CNG (Compressed Natural Gas) buses etc. One of the preventive methods to stop accidents associated with the gas leakage is to install a gas leakage detection device at vulnerable places. The aim of this project is to develop such a device that can automatically detect and control gas leakages and also monitor temperature in vulnerable areas. The system detects the leakage of the LPG (Liquefied Petroleum Gas) using a gas sensor and then also monitors the temperature using a temperature sensor. When the LPG concentration in the air exceeds a certain level, the gas sensor senses the gas leakage and the output of the sensor goes LOW, the system then opens the exit windows, and then uses the GSM to alert the person about the gas leakage via SMS. Also, when the temperature of the environment exceeds a certain limit, it then turns ON the LED (indicator) and make an alarm through the buzzer. An LCD (16x2) displays the current temperature and gas leakage status in degree Celsius and PPM respectively.
