Each of the astrological sign is associated with different parts of the human body. Since there are not much text available regarding Medical Astrology, Veerasimha Avalokanam is treatise meant for the Vaidyas for the astrological diagnosis and treat-ment. This text is not much popular across India. Actual text is in sanskrit language. Translations are available in Malayalam, Hindi and English. It is because of this that the translation of the work done by Sri. K Narayan is noteworthy. Though Veerasimhans treatise is titled as astrological diag-nosis and treatment, its mainly meant for daily use by Vaidyas and useful for all students of Indian traditional medicine as a reference book for both diagnosis and treatment .yet at the same time it can also be used very effectively used by all the astrol-ogers who are keen on diagnosing the diseases with planetary positions and then prescribe the Prayaschitha Karmas and directing to appropriate Siddha or Ayurveda doctor, for timely medications and treatment. Thus, Veerasimha Avalokanam is a treatise on medical astrology that collects, corre-lates and present quotes related to various diseases and their astrology, karma Vipaka, Prayaschittas and Ayurveda presents them in one place, truly a courageous lions’ efforts.

The Egyptian concept of medicine was complex and related to a widespread religious belief that combined the worship of gods and the medical arts. The healing properties of food, and especially mother’s milk, were well‑known and endowed with divine qualities. Half‑female‑half‑cow Hathor was usually depicted with cow horns and the sun between them. Since medicine and magic were tightly linked, the omens, facts, conscious and unconscious assumptions merged with a mystical mosaic that formed a volatile but honorable system that is currently regarded as a medical art. Supernatural powers were taken into account, and the meaning of art was associated with the powers attributed to the deities. Despite their obvious social and religious‑political experience, the Egyptians had limited knowledge of the internal structure of human body, paying considerable attention to magic, mysticism and afterlife. They deeply believed that most of the diseases originated in the intestines due to their «contaminated» contents. The main problem in understanding diseases and developing their treatment in ancient Egypt was the restrictions associated with the prohibition of body’s desecration. This was based on the assumption that if the shape of the body is not preserved at the time of resurrection, the soul can be lost in void. Thus, the ancient Egyptians were especially concerned with the preservation of body, believing that desecration by animals or worms could also lead to the complete loss of remains for the soul. In the society of Ancient Rome, illuminated only by the flame of fire and the thirst for knowledge, the enjoyment of food and the continuation of the family were of great importance. Unsurprisingly, the ancients respected the sensations of eating. Thus, such exquisite dishes as lark tongue, black caviar, ostrich brain, Falernian wines at the time of Emperor Heliogabalus evoked a unique complex of sensations during eating. Examples of ancient Roman medical tools, including mirrors, found in the house of a surgeon from Pompeii (72 — 62 BC), prove the early tendency to visualize human insides. The qualification of the ancient masters of medical tools is confirmed by the fact that the principles used two thousand years ago have changed slightly. Thus, there were initial concepts of nutrition, digestion, diseases of the digestive tract, and even the rudiments of diagnosing these diseases in Ancient Egypt and Ancient Rome. They served as the basis for the further development of gastroenterological science.

Motive forces by muscles are applied to different parts of the human body in a periodic fashion when walking at a uniform rate. In this study, the whole human body is modeled as a multidegree of freedom (MDOF) system with seven degrees of freedom. In view of the changing contact conditions with the ground due to alternating feet movements, the system under study is considered piecewise time invariant for each half-period when one foot is in contact with the ground. Forces transmitted from the body to the ground while walking at a normal pace are experimentally measured and numerically simulated. Fourth-order Runge-Kutta method is employed to numerically simulate the forces acting on different masses of the body. An optimization problem is formulated with the squared difference between the measured and simulated forces transmitted to the ground as the objective function, and the motive forces on the body masses as the design variables to solve.

The skin, which is the largest part  of the human body, is the body's first defense against bacterial and virus attacks. When the skin is exposed to the sun, dry weather, or bacteria, the reaction will spread to other parts of the body, and can even result in death if it is too late to be handled especially if the sufferers are children who are very vulnerable to disease. In this study an expert system was implemented to diagnose skin diseases in infants using the certainty factor method. certainty factor method is very suitable for expert systems that diagnose something that is uncertain. This system makes a diagnosis based on the symptoms felt by the user and then calculates certainty factors based on existing symptoms. Based on the test results by making comparisons between manual calculations and the one carried out by the system it is known that 90.22% of the diagnosis results get the same results so that the system is said to be suitable for use.

Liver is one of the vital organ that performs many functions in the human body. Prominently it acts as a metabolizing organ for the body. This chapter elaborately describes hepatocytes along with their morphological features. In addition, it explains the structure of hepatocytes and different parts such as kupffer cells, hepatic stellate and hepatic sinusoids. Moreover present chapter elaborates the varieties of functions that hepatocytes perform such as filtration of blood, acting as a viral incubator, lipophagy and regulation of insulin and glucose. Colors have a definite effect on the human body and mind. Dyed clothes, the color found in the houses, they leave their impact. Whether the sun rays are taken on the body through glass or by placing a colored glass bottle in the sun for six hours after that water is drunk after two hours, its effect also helps in providing healing according to the color. Researchers say that the effect of colors on specific parts of the brain is special, and then the same kind of inspiration goes on for the whole body. Magnetic powers are modulated and change their effect. The effect of colors has been seen directly on the pituitary and pineal glands of the brain. The hypothalamus region has been shown to be agitated and relaxed on this basis. This is why they are helpful in preventing debility and illness.
