ABSTRACT Introduction: College students face increasing pressure in all aspects of study and life. They urgently need a way to relieve stress. Physical exercise is the best choice for college students to relieve stress. Objective: To explore the relationship between physical exercise and disease prevention in college students. Methods: The article conducts a logistic regression analysis of physical exercise in college students and analyzes the relationship between the physical exercise factors and the occurrence of physical diseases. Results: The incidence of disease in students participating in physical exercise is low. The prevalence of diabetes, obesity, and hyperlipidemia decreased with the increase of physical activity intensity. Conclusions: Diligently participation in physical exercises can help college students resist diseases. Level of evidence II; Therapeutic studies -investigation of treatment results.

As the UK rebuilds and recovers after the COVID-19 pandemic, tackling socioeconomic inequalities will become increasingly pertinent. The link between health and wealth has been long established, with those at the highest risk of illness also being less likely to access healthcare. The pandemic has highlighted these disparities, with higher morbidity and mortality rates seen in deprived areas, as well as among ethnic minority communities. Leaders and clinicians across the NHS and social care have called for a ‘reset’ in the way healthcare is planned, commissioned and delivered in the UK. There is a growing need for a holistic approach to disease prevention, and it is crucial that government agencies take a strong role in addressing the wider determinants of health.

Nutrigenomics deals with the effect of foods and food constituents on gene expression. It is a new concept in disease prevention and cure. Nutrigenomics conveys how nutrients influence our body to express genes, whereas nutrigenetics refers to how our body responds to nutrients. The various bioactive food components can alter the gene expression mechanisms. But our actual knowledge is so insufficient that the only use of such information may help to satisfy our imagination. If science could arrive at some more precise facts, that would have vast applications in medicine.

Aim. To assess the awareness and engagement of health professionals in Russia in the main aspects of cardiovascular disease prevention.Material and methods. In order to assess engagement and awareness, an online survey of Russian primary health care providers was conducted in March 2021. The survey was conducted using original questionnaire, which includes the main questions aimed at early identification of patients with modifiable cardiovascular risk factors.Results. In case of newly diagnosed hypercholesterolemia and elevated blood pressure during screening, 91,8% (n=458) of the surveyed medical specialists record the results and immediately consult the patient on these issues. Similar responses was obtained by 93% (n=464) of doctors for patients with previously prescribed antihypertensive and/or lipid-lowering therapy. In addition, 46,5% (n=232) responded that during screening, 10-30% of patients had newly diagnosed hypertension and/or total cholesterol >5 mmol/L. A total of 28,9% (n=144) of respondents noted that 30-50% of patients with newly diagnosed hypertension and/or total cholesterol >5 mmol/L are detected at screening. It is noteworthy that 41,9% (n=209) of physicians devote 1 to 5 minutes to a patient, describing the changes in lifestyle, diet and physical activity. For 35,1% (n=175) of the respondents, this takes from 5 to 10 minutes, 22% (n=110) — >10 minutes, while ~5 respondents refer patients to another specialist for this purpose.Conclusion. The survey showed a high awareness of medical specialists in the need to monitor and modify risk factors. However, ~40% of surveyed doctors do not devote enough time to explaining issues of modifying lifestyle, diet and physical activity.

Objective: Entrusted by the Harbin Municipal Government, evaluation medical building system for prevention and control of sudden infectious diseases in the city has been established. Background: China, as a country that found the COVID-19 earlier, has taken strict control measures. However, as the medical building system is not perfect enough to prevent and control sudden infectious diseases. Method: First, expert group methodology was used and evaluation index of ability of prevention and control of sudden infectious diseases in medical building system was selected; then fuzzy comprehensive evaluation was adopted to establish index set and to set weight and medical building system evaluation model for prevention and control of sudden infectious diseases was constructed; finally, it’s to modify the indicators and weights in the evaluation set and to make an evaluation of the ability of Harbin medical building system to prevent and control sudden infectious diseases in accordance with the current management mode of system. Results: The medical building system in Harbin is significantly unbalanced in its ability to prevent sudden infections where there are low indicators for response monitoring and forecasting terminals, there are high indicators for the construction of emergency center. Conclusions: The evaluation model of the ability of medical building system to prevent and control sudden infectious diseases was constructed. The model is adopted to make practical evaluation of infectious disease prevention and control ability in Harbin and to form the evaluation method of the direct connection between the theoretical research of medical architecture and medical building design.
