The application of modern technology in educational work refers to the creation of an adequate approach and model of use of technology products at all levels of the education system. Informatization of modern society leads to a change in educational standards, as well as methods and tools used in educational work. The aim of this paper is to determine, on the basis of theoretical analysis of scientific literature, in which countries in the world ICT technology is applied in educational work with preschool children, as well as to present the results of studies that indicate the effects of technological products on the development, behavior and learning of preschool children. In addition to the analysis of the results regarding the application of modern technology in preschool institutions, the results of research related to the application of ICT technology in the family context were also analyzed.

Recent studies pointed out that practically all adolescents are regular users of information and communications technology (ICT). Since the most usual context for the use of technology is the home, our aim is, on the one hand, to characterize the family technology context among adolescents aged between 11 and 18 years and, on the other hand, to analyse the relationship between multitasking and the different variables found within this family context. Participants were 977 adolescents. Significant relationship between the number of devices in the home and the frequency with which these are used are showed. Although a 60% of the adolescents have no parental rules over this use, there does not appear to be any relationship between the existence, or lack thereof, of rules over the use of ICT and multitasking. To reduce adolescents amount of media multitasking, we would recommend having fewer devices in the home rather than imposing rules about their use.

The usefulness of "stake in society" theory, a form of transactional theory employed by John J. and Irma Honigmann to explain abandonment of frontier-type norms regarding alcohol use by modern Arctic townsmen, is tested in conjunction with differential response to treatment by a group of 110 Navajo alcoholic men. In a modified usage, "stake" is operationally defined by type. It is postulated that many of the men had suffered initial loss of stake in the context of lack of negative sanctions regarding heavy alcohol use in Navajo culture. Navajos who regained a stake in the old society during treatment tended to conform to new norms in the family context, while those who acquired concurrent stakes in both old and modern society were even more outstanding in their adherence to new norms. The failure of those with modern stake alone to acquire new norms regarding alcohol use is tentatively explained in terms of lack of a reference group other than the drinking fellowship, suggesting that what appears to be a preferable stake may not be regarded as such when it is in the context of what the Cornell study (Leighton et al. 1963) refers to as interference with essential striving sentiments of love and recognition, hence in such cases new norms will not take precedence over old. A model for the wider use of stake theory is presented.

To prepare the young generation for goals and tasks that the modern society poses to education and personal development, in the state and on international level, permanent changes and improvements are required, especially in raising quality, international compliance of goals, educational standards and development of teacher competences. These components, including the goals, shapes and methods of teacher education, are not once and for all given and developed. In particular, it stresses the importance of enabling teachers, educators and school principals to introduce changes in educational work, as well as to possess organizational and cooperative skills for activities. The aim of this work is to stress the importance of continuous development of the competences of teachers in class. The research is important due to the necessity for permanent (lifelong) education of individuals, especially teachers. During this research, the emphasis was on studying existing literature. The research was conducted based on the content analysis, which is based on the study of secondary sources. The question we ask is whether the competences of teachers in modern schools contribute to the efficiency of education? This topic should determine how much competence teachers actually develop in practice.

The article considers new non-traditional types of mass culture that hinder the formation of the spiritual and moral life of the youth. In the era of market economy and transformation of national values and ideals, there is a need to improve the tolerant attitude of mass culture. We often hear from TV screens, from leading politicians, the word «tolerance» or «toleration in various guises and meanings of socialization of young people», which we were not familiar with until recently. In many cultures, the concept of «tolerance» is characterized by a kind of synonym for toleration: Latin-tolerantia; Portuguese-tolerância; Italian-tolleranza; Dutch-tolerantie; Uzbek-bag'rikenglik and sabr-toqatlilik. Sociological analyses show that some types of modern non-traditional forms and patterns of culture have a negative impact on the spiritual and moral life of the younger generation. In our opinion, it is tolerance that has become the basis for the spread of new types of mass culture among young people. Starizm (translated from English «stars», means celebrity cult) causes young people to have new artifi cial idols to copy. Kitsch — hack, tasteless, «cheap». Flash mob — a pre-planned mass gathering. Vandalism was manifested in the past in the destruction of national historical monuments, which passes into the area of the spiritual life of the population, especially young people. We stand in solidarity with those specialists who are in favor of the expediency and consistency of the work carried out among young people. However, the most important innovative method that ensures the effectiveness of educational work, as we think, is the revival of the traditional social status and function of the family. The family as a traditional institution has been modernized to the detriment of national peculiarity and ideals. The work on the formation of tolerance in modern society should be associated not only with the training of young people in specific skills of tolerant behavior, but also with the formation of certain personal qualities. It is about self-esteem and the ability to respect the dignity of others; the awareness that each person is diverse in their manifestations and is not like others; a positive attitude towards oneself and representatives of other peoples and other cultures.

Background: Adolescents’ eating disorders have been explored through various conceptual and empirical models. Only recently, scientific literature in this area has more specifically investigated the role of relationships, with particular attention to family functioning. Objective: This paper reviews family relationships aspects of eating disorders in adolescence. Methods: A narrative literature review of relational issues in adolescents’ eating disorders was performed. Results: Empirical evidence of family relationships in adolescents’ eating disorders confirms the relevance of relational aspects in the development and maintenance of the pathology. In particular, the contribution of the relational-systemic approach is wide, suggesting the need to refer to the family context for a better understanding of adolescents’ sufferance. Additionally, the empirical contributions from the conceptual model of Developmental Psychopathology, highlighting the importance of risk and protection factors in family relationships, provides knowledge about the phenomenon of adolescents’ eating disorders in terms of complexity. Conclusions: An integrated relational model aimed to explore adolescents’ eating disorders is worthy of investigation to accomplish specific program of intervention.

The paper aims to contribute to developing some educational mediation strategies, useful for those who educate in the family and at school, to support children in their first experiences with digital media and the net.Digital technologies are already present in the child's living environments and, just like them, are characterized by a very rapid development. The task of those who do research and those who educate is to know the styles of use, the experiences, the learning, the exploratory maneuvers of the world that very young children perform thanks to digital technology. It should also be considered that, at times, they may be a few clicks away from content and images unsuitable for their age.The paper, through the Systematic Review approach, reviews the most recent scientific literature on the subject and analyzes the results of some important international research projects on the subject. The intent of the work, obviously, is not to provide exhaustive answers, always valid criteria and easy generalizations. With regard to the relationship between childhood and digital media, the paper outlines shared tracks of educational work in the life contexts of the little ones (especially in the family and at school) and reasons to promote further, future investigations in this area.
