The goal of this paper is to analyse some segments of Ian McEwan's novel On Chesil Beach and their translation into Serbian. The main aim is to analyse to what extent the translator managed to transfer the meaning of the original text into Serbian. The translation is analysed on the semantic and pragmatic levels. The method used to compare and contrast the source text language and the language of the Serbian text is contrastive analysis. The obtained results of the analysis show that the message of the original text was in most cases successfully transferred into Serbian.

The aim of this paper is to point out the importance of knowing and respecting the learning styles in the teaching process through the presentation of Kolb's model of experiential learning. The goal is achieved at the theoretical level, using the method of theoretical analysis and content analysis techniques, starting from the analysis of concepts and classifications of learning styles in the most common learning theories, through different ways of respecting learning styles to Kolb's model of experiential learning. Knowledge of learning styles is of multiple importance for pedagogical theory and practice: the acquired knowledge contributes to better knowledge and understanding of students, their way of learning, the quality of teacher-student interaction, but also to shedding light on the causes of learning difficulties and preventing school failure.

Svetlana Velmar-Janković wrote about Miloš Crnjanski's work in her essays on several occasions. In her essays we can notice her inconsistency, even contradictory, regarding her analysis and evaluation of Crnjanski's texts. The aim of this study is to point at this changeableness as well as at the reasons why she alerted, during the time, her approach to one of the most well-known and at the same time disputed 20. century Serbian writer.

Serbian and Slovak are related languages and both languages belong to the group of Slavic languages. It is important to point out that bilingualism can have a negative impact on children's education, especially when they are not equally exposed to the use of both languages, as is the case with Slovaks in the Republic of Serbia. The aim of this paper is to determine the complexity of the syntactic structure in the non - mother tongue in bilingual children whose mother tongue is Slovak. The sample of children included forty children aged 7 years. The research was conducted at the Elementary School "Ljudovit Stur" in Kisac, and at the Elementary School "Jozef Marchok Dragutin" in Glozan. The assessment instruments used were: "Speech-language production test" and a bilingual questionnaire. The results obtained in this research speak in favor of a more complex syntactic sentence structure in bilingual children in their mother tongue compared to their non-mother tongue. We can conclude that bilingualism as a phenomenon has a great influence on the development of language, and thus on syntactic development. Slow language development can often occur due to the complexity of acquiring two languages at the same time.

Quantitative research of the effects of cooperative learning represents an important source of information for scientists in this area. So, the goal of our work is to look at the effects of quantitative research content published in referent international magazines in the 21st century (N=11), and review the advantages and weaknesses of the quantitative research method in concrete examples. For the purpose of this work we created the protocol for analyses, which we used to provide detailed review of the chosen research. We noticed that, within the effects of quantitative research cooperative learning, there were neglected important research questions which include effects of cooperative learning on emotional sphere of student's personality and the effects of cooperative learning in the context of digital technology. Based on the analysis characteristics method of the chosen quantitative research of the effects of cooperative learning, having in mind the advantages and weak sides of the quantitative method, we could notice a need for the effects of cooperative learning to use various research methods, which would provide complementary reviews in relation to the explored occurrence. Analysed content of the chosen quantitative researches of the effects of cooperative learning has opened important questions for the future scientists which include consideration of contribution of modern research compared to the earlier research in this area. Also, we recommend reviewing and analysing of modern quantitative research for the effects of cooperative learning.

An adequate methodological approach in teaching mathematics in the classroom plays an important role in understanding mathematical concepts and achieving learning outcomes. This paper points out the characteristics, significance, and effects that can be achieved by applying project-oriented learning in teaching. This paper aims to point out the possibilities of applying the project model of work in the teaching of mathematics. Based on the results of previous research on this issue, as well as recommendations from the Program of teaching and learning for the first cycle of primary education, a model of project-based learning of content on measurement and measures is presented, which can serve to support teachers in organizing and affirming project-oriented teaching mathematics.

To prepare the young generation for goals and tasks that the modern society poses to education and personal development, in the state and on international level, permanent changes and improvements are required, especially in raising quality, international compliance of goals, educational standards and development of teacher competences. These components, including the goals, shapes and methods of teacher education, are not once and for all given and developed. In particular, it stresses the importance of enabling teachers, educators and school principals to introduce changes in educational work, as well as to possess organizational and cooperative skills for activities. The aim of this work is to stress the importance of continuous development of the competences of teachers in class. The research is important due to the necessity for permanent (lifelong) education of individuals, especially teachers. During this research, the emphasis was on studying existing literature. The research was conducted based on the content analysis, which is based on the study of secondary sources. The question we ask is whether the competences of teachers in modern schools contribute to the efficiency of education? This topic should determine how much competence teachers actually develop in practice.

The overall development of technology has also contributed to the development of multimedia technology and its greater application in education. The curriculum cannot be viewed separately in relation to the changes taking place in modern society and in relation to its technological progress. Teaching methods, techniques and tools are constantly changing and in modern pedagogy they are more efficient and stimulating for the acquisition of knowledge. In traditional teaching, the role of teachers and students differs significantly, the teacher has a dominant role of lecturer, while students have a passive role in the process of acquiring knowledge. Teaching conceived in this way changed with the development of technology, because the teacher is no longer the only source of knowledge and information, and students are not passive objects that absorb that knowledge. Our goal is to review the importance and efficiency of multimedia education by reviewing the relevant literature. As first, we will try to define the concept of multimedia and analyze the theoretical basis of multimedia education, as well as its application in teaching. We start from the assumption that since technology simplifies functioning in general, it contributes to simplifying and improving the education process.

The most important sociological approaches in the area of studying curriculum are presented in this paper. Our focus is specifically on a critical approach, where curriculum is observed as means of reproduction of social inequalities. Also, for deeper understanding of those social phenomena, the necessity of connecting sociology of knowledge and sociology of education is implied. We argue that the concept of hidden curriculum is a relevant and adequate frame for examining the process of transferring knowledge in school system, while reflexivity towards social hierarchies and hegemonic aspects is an important step in policymaking.

The aim of this paper is to present and analyse the Internet of Things and Technology-Supported Learning Environments, which represent current technological trends of higher education development. The method used in the paper is content analysis of available scientific literature - theoretical and empirical. It is shown how the application and integration of these technologies trigger significant socio-technological changes in the conditions in which higher education operates. The results show that the application of these technologies enables material savings, that it can result in increasing of the efficiency and effectiveness of the higher education processes and in adapting of the teaching process to the individual needs of students. The paper further discusses the challenges and risks that these technological change can bring to higher education and society as a whole. In the conclusion, it is pointed out that despite the numerous advantages that are being realized, it is necessary to develop human resource competencies and find solutions related to the ethical use of data.
