In this work, the ratio of forward and backward electron yields for emission induced by the isotropic flux of α-particles from zinc was measured. On the basis of the measured values and experimental data obtained in earlier experiments for other materials, a systematization of the electron yield ratio for forward and backward emission was done, and a relationship of the ratio with stopping power of an ion in a substance was found. The dependence of work function for various materials on the ratio of the electron emission yields was analyzed.

The paper presents the results of experimental study of forward and backward electron emission induced by α-particles from the deposited film of magnesium. It was shown that during the deposition of magnesium in residual gas atmosphere the deposited film contained a large amount of MgO component, which makes it possible to consider the resulting structure as Mg-MgO. The presence of magnesium oxide on the surface of the target and the collector leads to the fact that the previously obtained dependence of the ratio of forward and backward electron yields on specific energy loss of the ion for various metals is not applicable in the case of deposited magnesium. The differences are explained by the specificity of the emission from magnesium in the presence of a significant amount of MgO. The results obtained can be used to detect MgO on the surface of a magnesium substrate. It was shown the differences in the experimental data for the bulk magnesium collector and the collector with deposited magnesium layer

During this time many people were found to achieve the required high learningachievement intellectual intelligence (IQ) is also high. However, EQ good can determine thesuccess of individuals in learning achievement in building a successful career, and can reducethe aggressiveness, especially among teenagers purpose of this study was to determinewhether there is a relationship of emotional intelligence toward student learning achievementProdi DIII Midwifery Curup Semester II and IV. This research was conducted in the ProdiDIII Midwifery Curup from July to August 2016, with the number of respondents, thisresearch is descriptive analytic, data collection using a scale based on the theory of emotionalintelligence Daniel Goleman; to measure student achievement used methods of examinationof documents by the second half saw the value of IP, IV and population II and IV semesterstudent, taken by total population, the data was analyzed by univariate and bivariate. Theresults of the analysis of experimental data showed correlation coefficient of 0.635 with p0.005 (<0.05), the Ha accepted. This means that there is a significant relationship betweenemotional intelligence and academic achievement of students Prodi DIII Midwifery Curup IIand IV semester of 2016. To develop and optimize the emotional intelligence plays a role instudent success both in school and in the surrounding environment, it is recommended to thecampus, especially the lecturer-dosenagar incorporate elements emosioal intelligence inpresenting the material as well as the emotions involved in the learning process

This paper studies the cutting moment at drilling of the stainless steel X15CrNiSi20-12. The structure of the cutting moment relation was modified with respect to the relation available in the technical literature for common steels. The tool speed was included in the calculus relation. The experimental data and their subsequent processing represent the original contributions of the authors to the estimation of polytropic exponents and to the assessment in terms of structure of the calculus relation of the cutting moment. The paper also contains graphs for the variation of the cutting moment with parameters of the cutting technology. The graphs are drawn based on the analytic relationship of the cutting moment, obtained in the paper, using the mathematical softwareMaple. The results presented in this study can be taken into consideration in the educational studies and in the theoretical technical research. Also, they can be readily implemented in the manufacturing activity. Our further studies aim these problems for another steels classes.

In this paper, we calculate ab initially the phonon dispersion relationship of the superconductor LaFeAsO and investigate a main property in the superconductor, the oxygen isotope effect. Based on this phonon dispersion relationship, we find the fact that an important reason of the oxygen isotope effect is connected with the phonon. This result agrees well with the experimental data where the power index of the oxygen isotope effect in the superconductor LaFeAsO is small.

ABSTRACTDiamond exhibits high secondary-electron yields which vary strongly with sample preparation and sample treatment. In this study, we identify some of the factors that govern the secondary-electron emission yield of diamond. Comparative studies are made with polycrystalline diamond films having different dopants (boron or nitrogen), dopant concentrations and surface conditions (hydrogen-terminated or oxidized). In these studies, the total electron yield as a function of the incident-electron energy and the energy distribution of the secondary emitted electrons are measured. The results show that both electrical conductivity and hydrogen-termination play essential roles in the secondary-electron emission process. For hydrogen-terminated samples, the energy distribution shows a large and narrow peak at the onset of electron emission. The long mean-free path of the secondary electrons and the low or negative electron affinity are essential to the exceedingly high electron yield of diamond.
