Technological developments encourage business actors to be more creative in their competition to provide the best services to their consumers. In the field of motor vehicle sales today, however, brochures are still widely used in introducing their products. In light of this, PT Samudera Jaya Benelli wants to have an android-based e-catalog that contains information on their motorbike products so that it will facilitate the process of delivering information to potential customers who visit the showroom. Additionally, the use of e-catalogs can help the company save on the cost of printing brochures and catalogs, which has been the common practice so far. Furthermore, the development of this e-catalog information system uses the User-Centered Designing (UCD) method. The purpose of using UCD is to produce applications that have high use value, which includes the convenience in the usage, management, and effectiveness of the application, as well as the compatibility of the application to users' needs. Therefore, it is expected that this Android-based (mobile) e-catalog application will be able to increase efficiency and provide convenience in displaying products in the form of a digital catalog that has a modern, complete, and simple appearance

ABSTRACT<br />The Quality Assurance Center (PJM) is one of the units at STMIK STIKOM Bali which has the task of assisting the Chair in overseeing and controlling the entire process. One of the controls carried out is controlling customer satisfaction through implementing customer satisfaction evaluations. PJM STIKOM Bali uses a web-based quality assurance information. The use of web-based quality assurance information systems has never been measured by usability system to see whether the system built is acceptability for the PJM STIKOM Bali unit in carrying out its activities. In this study, researchers conducted a study to analyze usability in the STIKOM Bali quality assurance information system. The method used to measure usability is User Centered Design (UCD) because this method focuses on the user. In implementing the UCD method, three types of statements have been established, namely Task Complete Rate, Time on Task, and Usability Rate of System. The results achieved in this study were the success rates of respondents in completing the STIKOM Bali quality assurance information system task task of 97.67%. The average time needed by respondents to complete all tasks is 92 minutes. The usability level felt by respondents when using the quality assurance information system is 88.75%.<br />Keywords : Quality Assurance System, Usability, User Centered Design<br />ABSTRAK<br />Pusat Jaminan Mutu (PJM) adalah salah satu unit di STMIK STIKOM Bali yang memiliki tugas membantu Ketua dalam mengawasi dan mengendalikan seluruh proses. Salah satu pengendalian yang dilakukan adalah pengendalian kepuasan pelanggan melalui pelaksanaan evaluasi kepuasan pelanggan. PJM STIKOM Bali menggunakan sistem informasi penjaminan mutu berbasis web untuk mempermudah akses penjadwalan dimulai dan diakhirinya proses evaluasi kepuasan pelanggan yang diintegrasikan dengan sistem lain yang ada di STIKOM Bali. Penggunaan sistem informasi penjaminan mutu berbasis web belum pernah dilakukan pengukuran usability sistem untuk melihat apakah sistem yang dibangun sudah akseptabilitas bagi unit PJM STIKOM Bali dalam melaksanakan aktivitasnya. Pada penelitian ini peneliti melakukan penelitian untuk menganalisa usability pada sistem informasi penjaminan mutu STIKOM Bali. Metode yang digunakan untuk mengukur usability adalah User Centered Design (UCD) karena metode ini berfokus pada pengguna. Dalam implementasi metode UCD, telah ditetapkan tiga jenis pernyataan yaitu Task Complete Rate, Time on Task, dan Usability Rate of System. Hasil yang dicapai pada penelitian ini adalah tingkat keberhasilan responden dalam menyelesaikan task sistem informasi penjaminan mutu STIKOM Bali sebesar 97,67%. Waktu rata-rata yang diperlukan responden untuk menyelesaikan seluruh task adalah sebesar 92 menit. Tingkat usability yang dirasakan responden saat menggunakan sistem informasi penjaminan mutu adalah 88,75 %.<br />Kata kunci : Sistem Penjaminan Mutu, Usability, User Centered Design


Mining is the backbone of any industrial activity. Mother nature has bestowed India with good deposits of coal, iron ore, limestone, bauxite, manganese and chromite ores. Indian economy is one of the fastest growing economies in the world today. To fulfill 8-10 % growth target, Indian mining industry has to increase its share from 2.4 % to 6 %. (1)Such voluminous increments can be met only by employing big size heavy earth moving machines (HEMM)(2). Dumpers are the common choice in all types of mines for material movement. There are 4200 dumpers of various sizes being used in the different mines in India. The cost of dumpers varies from Rs 1.0 crore for 35 tons to Rs 24 crore for 240 tons version.( 3) The availability and utilization percentage of dumpers is low as compared to other HEMM. Hence there is a need for continuous monitoring of operational and machine parameters. Presently, only in large mines GPS based systems are being used to monitor such parameters. In small and medium mines monitoring is manual in nature. Manual method of data generation has its own limitations with respect to time and reliability. GPS based systems are not only costly but also requires qualified manpower to operate and maintain it. This calls for indigenous development of economical management information system (MIS) which could produce temper proof on line data. This research paper discusses one such management information system developed by the authors which is economical, easy to maintain and which produces reliable data

The use of the Android platform for software / application development is not only easier to use, because Android that has flexibility is a reason. Rendang Daging is a typical food of the city of Padang, besides it tastes savory and has a taste that is very different from other processed foods, which makes the food rendang a favorite of many people around the world. It is unfortunate if only rendang is the favorite processed food menu, while in Indonesia there are still many processed menus that are very tasty and special. Information about the menu of typical Indonesian processed foods will be much better known and desirable when given a place to exchange information about these things in the form of information systems. To get an information system that meets user expectations, special methods are needed. (UCD) is a User-Centered Design method which is a user-oriented method. UCD design is used to provide benefits to support the information system for people from home and abroad so that it will be more attractive for foreign and domestic tourists to visit Indonesia for a vacation or just want to enjoy the typical food of the archipelago. In addition, it can also help the system of selling processed foods typical of the archipelago.

Child Restraint Systems (CRS; car seats) are designed to prevent injuries in motor vehicle collisions. CRS misuse and installation errors are common and may seriously reduce or nullify safety benefits. Poorly designed labels and instructions contribute to CRS misuse, and CRS manufacturers are not held to an evidence-based label design standard. This paper describes a user-centered design (UCD) and evaluation process for infant/child convertible (rear-facing/forward-facing) CRS installation labels. The labels focused on two primary tasks: installing a CRS into a vehicle and securing a child into the CRS. The label design concepts were based on literature identifying primary areas for CRS misuse, Human Factors and UCD principles, product warning and label design standards, and current Canadian and US motor vehicle safety standards. A follow-up study will evaluate the reduction of CRS installation errors based on the hypothesized enhanced label usability and effectiveness.

Today’s business development is progressing day by day. To maintain competition and develop business in CV Nila Mas, it must follow the existing technological developments. The stages carriedout in the study consisted of communication, planning, modelling, construction and develoyment. The method used for calculating cost of production is the full costing method and the system created using the waterfall method. The information system produced is an information system determining the price of production, which can calculate the cost of production at CV Nila Mas. With the existence of an information system to determine the price of this production, it is hoped that CV Nila Mas can calculate the cost of production at CV Nila Mas"information system for determining the cost of production using the full costing method at CV Nila Mas". Perkembangan bisnis saat ini semakin maju dari hari ke hari. Untuk menjaga persaingan dan mengembangkan bisnis pada CV Nila Mas maka harus mengikuti perkembangan teknologi yang ada. Tahapan yang dilakukan dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari communication, planning, modeling, contraction dan develoyment. Metode yang dipakai untuk perhitungan harga pokok produksi adalah metode full costing dan sistem yang dibuat menerapkan metode waterfall. Sistem informasi yang dihasilkan adalah sistem informasi penentuan harga pokok produksi, yang dapat menghitung harga produksi, yang dapat menghitung harga pokok produksi pada CV Nila Mas. Dengan adanya sistem informasi penentuan harga pokok produksi ini diharapkan dapat membantu CV Nila Mas dalam melakukan perhitungan harga pokok produksi di CV Nila Mas "Sistem Informasi Penentuan Harga Pokok Produksi Menggunakan Metode Full Costing Pada CV Nila Mas".

The development of technology moves so rapidly beyond human expectations in general, all eyes and minds are shocked by the sophistication of a technology that is packaged to represent various systems in the world, as well as the business world which is touched by technological developments and changes the way of doing business from the old model to be more sophisticated and efficient. PT. Multi Prima Mandiri Sukses is a company that sells laserjet toner ink and various laserjet printer rentals for office needs. The problem that occurs is in the sales department that so far sales are still carried out conventionally by ordering by telephone and sales records are still in the form of physical data where sales reach is not wide and sales data are easily lost. To overcome this problem, an online sales platform was built in the form of e-commerce with the UML (Unified Modeling Language) approach and with the design of the UCD (User Centered Design) method, the programming language used was PHP with MySQL database. The results of this research are in the form of an available online sales system which includes purchases and sales reports with a user center as a reference for developing an e-commerce sales system.

AbstrakSistem informasi Teknik Informatika UMM memuat kegiatan berhubungan dengan akademik. Berdasarkan hasil observasi menggunakan kuesioner yang disebarkan ke 30 responden kepada mahasiswa aktif Teknik Informatika UMM, dari pernyataan ke empat bahwa 23 orang menyatakan meragukan data yang terdapat dalam sistem bukan informasi terkini dan jarang diperbarui. Kemudian interaksi yang dilakukan seperti penyampaian informasi mengenai jadwal kuliah, jadwal sidang, event dan informasi lainnya disampaikan melalui grup Facebook. Dengan adanya permasalahan tersebut maka peneliti menggunakan .metode User Centered Design (UCD) dalam perancangan prototype akademik dengan. memanfaatkan pendapat pengguna, serta pola. dan tingkah laku pengguna dapat .menghasilkan user interface dan fungsionalitas. yang maksimal serta memiliki nilai usabili.ty. Selain itu digunakan metode Heuristic Evaluation untuk melakukan evaluasi desain dan menilai sistem. Untuk menemukan kekurangan lebih awal sebelum di implementasikan, mengurangi kesalahan kegunaan berikutnya yang memungkinkan adanya pengeluaran biaya lebih untuk perbaikan. Abstract . Information System of Informatic engineegring UMM contains activities related to academics. Based on the results of observations using a questionnaire distributed to 30 respondents to UMM Informatics Engineering active students, from the fourth statement that 23 people expressed doubts the data contained in the system is not up-to-date information and rarely updated. Then interactions are carried out such as submitting information about class schedules, session schedules, events and other information delivered through the Facebook group. With these problems, the researcher uses the User Centered Design (UCD) method in designing academic prototypes by utilizing the opinions of users, as well as the patterns and behavior of users can produce maximum user interface and functionality and have usability value. In addition, the Heuristic Evaluation method is used to evaluate the design and assess the system. To find deficiencies early before they are implemented, reduce subsequent usability errors that allow for more expenses for repairs.
