One of the important things that need to be considered in student assessment is the problem of student presence. The student attendance process that is very commonly done by universities is recording attendance manually, as currently applied by STMIK "AMIKBANDUNG". QR Code technology is a technology that can encode and decode all types of data into an image in the form of a code and can be read with a smartphone, this is very suitable for use as data validation, which is usually used for digital payment methods today. With these advantages QR Code technology can be implemented as well as supporting media in the smooth process of lecture attendance, This is interesting to the author to conduct research on lecture presence design using QR Code technology, with QR Code technology, each student is expected to no longer need to sign the form absent because the presence data will be identified automatically via a smartphone that can scan the QR Code and be stored in the system database.

Various kinds of activities in the fields of communication, information, transportation, banking, education, and those that require high mobility, require a supporting technology to do so. The supporting technology is a smartphone, where this smartphone is almost owned by every level of society. Smartphones are widely used in education to support learning between lecturers and students. At the University of Singaperbangsa Karawang Faculty of Computer Science, there is one aspect of student assessment that is measured based on the number of students pre-sent. The attendance system that runs at the Singaperbangsa University of Karawang, Faculty of Computer Science, has not yet implemented smartphone technology in its implementation. The problems that arise with the attendance system at this time is the presence data that has no backup if lost and absenteeism records that are easily damaged. Therefore the design and manufacture of the NFC Presence application is carried out to overcome this problem. The NFC Pres-ence application was built using the Mobile Application Development Life Cycle (MADLC) method. NFC (Near Field Communication) on smartphones and NFC Card is a tool to support student attendance data, which will then be stored properly in the database to prevent student attendance data loss. The attendance pro-cess in the NFC Presence application is done by mentoring an NFC card containing data in accordance with the data-base to the lecturer smartphone. Furthermore, the lecturer smartphone will send attendance data to the database, so that this data can be accessed anytime, anywhere.

A new form of mobile payment, Quick Response (QR) code, has been a popular way of paying bus fares in China since 2017. Compared with conventional payment methods, cash or IC card, QR code shows a lot of differences in response time, recognition accuracy, and payment procedure, which significantly influences the boarding service time (BST) for passengers. However, no research has considered its efficiency. This study, therefore, tries to fill this gap and investigate its influence on BST. Sufficient ride-check data were collected, and the influence of the QR code payment method on BST was examined through a set of regression models. Passengers pay the bus fare with different payment methods as their first choice; nevertheless, when the payment fails, they may transfer among them. According to the payment choice, result, and process, we introduce the first-choice-based, the last-choice-based, and the choice-transfer-based models, respectively. The scenario with delays in calling out the QR code was considered in the choice-transfer-based model. The onboard crowdedness was regarded as a categorical variable to determine the regime of the boarding process in all models. We conduct empirical analysis in Wuhan, and this study can help to identify the influence of the QR code payment method on BST, consequently, improving bus service efficiency.

Hasil pengolahan kuesioner menggunakan model penerimaan Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT). Hasilnya dari kelima varibel UTAUT yaitu  Performance Expectancy, Effort Expectancy, Social Influence, Facilitating Conditions, dan Habbit mendapatkan hasil yang positif dan signifikan. Abstract  This study discusses the implementation and testing of the student attendance system. The presence of students or attendance at the Skills and Training Institute (LKP) is very important, this is done because it is to determine student attendance and the needs of institutional management. Problems that occur in the current system, preparation before starting learning, the teacher must take the attendance sheet and return it to the administration when it is finished, and the implementation of attendance is still done manually so that it is prone to manipulation. The solution to this problem is by creating a presence system that is directly connected to an Android-based smart device, so that it will make it easier to attend and every student already has this device. To read student data, this system is built using a QR code because it takes about 15 seconds per card to attend. Student cards that contain a QR code are scanned on the android application on the scan provider to make attendance. The results of this system can make it easier to make presence, processing student data by the instructor, and ease reports in the administration section. The results of this implementation were tested by students using the action research method and filling out a questionnaire via google form. The results of the questionnaire processing use the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT) acceptance model. The results of the five UTAUT variables, namely Performance Expectancy, Effort Expectancy, Social Influence, Facilitating Conditions, and Habbit got positive and significant results.

Attendance is something that must be done by students. In the attendance process, the AMIK Dian Cipta Cendikia College still uses the manual method. Therefore, we need a student attendance system that can collect data and manage data so that it can be done quickly, efficiently and accurately. One of technology developed is QR Code. QR Code is an essential thing because of its ability to store larger data so that it can provide fast and accurate services. One of the things that can be done to support the author in designing an Application of QR Code for Attendance Service Media for student in AMIK Dian Cipta Cendikia is by using the Extreme Programming research method. The purpose of this application is expected to make the attendance process will be more efficient and can be easily monitored by lecturers and by the academic department. The results of this research were in the form of a student attendance application that uses a QR code. It is used as the input media for student attendance based on a local network implemented in order to create an attendance information system that provides convenience for students in the attendance process, reduces fraud committed by students, and facilitates reports when conducting recapitulation.

Manual time and attendance systems are still being practiced within a considerable number of universities, colleges, government departments and companies. This traditional system requires the user to fill in their timesheets or sign on the attendance sheet manually. The practice inefficient and ineffective for university’s student attendance recording due to,  i) lecturer may lose the attendance sheet, ii) student may sign for their friends, iii) student may forget to sign on the attendance sheet, and iv) challenging to monitor attendance rate and analysis. Thus, there is a necessity to change these traditional attendance recording methods to a more efficient one. The attendance rate is significant because students are more likely to succeed in academics when they attend classes consistently. As such, a mobile app, namely Smart-Hadir, is designed to overcome problems as mentioned above. Smart-Hadir is a smartphone application developed by UMS aimed to record student attendance digitally during a class session. The technology used is slightly different from the existing applications, where Smart-Hadir is not using RFID technology but rather covers NFC, QR code, and beacon technologies. Attendance could be taken either using NFC or QR code displayed on the wall using a projector or scan the available beacon. Lecturers can create class session using the Smart-Hadir anywhere and anytime. Students are then required to take their attendance either scan the QR code, search the beacon, or swiped their student card on the lecturer’s phone. The students’ attendance will be immediately captured and saved into the database. Lecturers will be able to view the statistic report, identify and e-mail absentees, as well as monitor students’ attendance behaviour. A statistical report can be generated. It shows the percentages of students’ attendance rate, absent rate, and status. The Smart-Hadir is advantageous as it can be used to capture meeting or event attendance record as well.

QR Code is an abbreviation of Quick Response Code. QR Code has been developedby Denso Corporation since 1994 that was first used as an identifier vehicle manufacturingsection. Along with the development needs, QR Code replaces the use of Bar Code in someareas due QR Code can be read only with digital cameras and even webcam and cameraphone. In addition to the use of QR Code as one document security device and QR Code is one of thefast recognition method. So in this study the author tries to take advantage of the QR Code asfast reading and recording of student attendance. The one of the reasons is that the presence ofstudents in each meeting is becoming one of the points of assessment, and the use of digitalcameras have become widespread in many ways, digital camera also embedded built in everylaptop which used by teachers, lecturers and instructors so that presence can be easily done byutilizing the integrated webcam in lapotop. The results of this study is, the application which can utilize QR Code image as the presencecard of students that can be read and recorded using teacher’s, lecturer’s or instructor’slaptop webcams so the process of recording attendance done easily and directly uploaded onacademic information systems
