Increasing the productivity of peatlands can be done by applying the right fertilization system. The purpose of this study was to determine the appropriate dose of NPK fertilization in intercropping red chili and shallots on peat soil. This research was conducted at the Laboratory and Experimental Garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, Indragiri Islamic University. The study took place from August to December 2020. The study was carried out using a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 3 replications. , N2 (500 kg/ha), N3 (750 kg/ha) in red chilies and shallots. The results showed that treatment with a dose of 500 kg/ha of NPK fertilizer in an intercropping system of chili with shallots on peat soil gave the best growth and yield of shallots. Treatment dose of 250 kg/ha NPK fertilizer gave the best red chili fruit production

This research aims to determine the effect of the application Vermicompost Organic Fertilizer and NPK inorganic fertilizer in different doses to see mustard plants' growth and the yield on the media of inland peat soil. The study was a completely randomized design factorial Completely Randomized Design, consisting of 2 treatment factors and three replications. The first factor is the dose of Vermicompost organic fertilizer (D), which consisting of 3 levels i,e D0 : control ; D1: 100 g/polybag; D2 : 200 g/polybag and the second factor is the dose NPK Fertilizer which consisting of 2 levels M0: control; M1: 1 g/polibag. This research has been conducted on the experimental field department of agriculture cultivation, Faculty of Agriculture, Palangka Raya University, Palangka Raya City, Central Kalimantan from October until December 2017. The results showed that the interaction of Vermicompost organic fertilizer and NPK fertilizer did not give an effect for plant growth parameters. Doses Vermicompost 100 g / polybag and NPK 1 g / polybag gave the highest results to growth and yield of mustard plants; based on the results of the analysis, the treatment of 1 g NPK / polybag had a very significant effect on the observed parameters such as plant height, number of leaf, root weight, and total plant weight.

The objective of this research was to investigate the effectiveness of combination of bio-slurry fertilizer and NPK fertilizer on the growth and production of two varieties of rice. The experiment was assigned in a completely randomized design of factorial pattern. The first factor was the combination of bio-slurry and NPK fertilizer that consisted of P0 = no added fertilizer (control) 0 ton/ha, P1 = NPK fertilizer 550 kg/ha (165 kg N, 33 kg P, 45 kg K); P2 = bio-slurryfertilizer 2.3 tons/ha (45 kg N, 14 kg P, 23 kg K) and NPK fertilizer 400 kg/ha (120 kg N, 24 kg P, 32 kg K); P3 = bio-slurryfertilizer 4.6 tons/ha (90 kg N, 28 kg P, 46 kg K) and NPK fertilizer 250 kg/ha (75 kg N, 15 kg P, 20 kg K); P4 = bio-slurry fertilizer 5.9 tons/ha (115 kg N, 36 kg P, 59 kg K) and NPK fertilizer 100 kg/ha (30 kg N, 6 kg P, 8 kg K); and P5 = bio-slurryfertilizer 8.5 tons/ha (165 kg N, 52 kg P, 85 kg K). The second factor was varieties of rice that consisted of V1 : IR-64 and V2 : Ciherang. Each treatment was repeated three times. Parameters observed were plant height, number of tillers, weight of 1.000 grains, and rice production. Data were analyzed using ANOVA and continued with Duncan’s Multiple Range Test (DMRT). The results showed that the combination of bio-slurry fertilizer and NPK fertilizer were significantlyaffect (p <0.05)all observation parameters, while varieties of wetland rice did not show significant effect on all observation parameters (p<0.05). The application of bio-slurry fertilizer in single treatment or in either combination with NPK fertilizer had the same result with the treatment of NPK fertilizer on the growth and yield of rice. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of chicken manure and urea on the growth and yield of onion leaves on inland peat soil. The design used was a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) factorial with two treatment factors. The first factor is that chicken manure fertilizer application consists of 4 levels, namely: 0, 5, 10 and 15 tons/ha, and the second factor is the provision of urea that consists of 3 levels, namely: 0, 125 and 250 kg/ha. The variables measured were plant height and fresh weight of the leaves of onion plants. The results showed that the interaction between chicken manure and urea fertilizer had no significant effect on all variables observed at all ages observed. Single factor giving 15 tons/ha of chicken manure fertilizer showed growth and better results on the average variable plant height and fresh weight of the leaves of onion plants in inland peat soil. Single factor giving of urea 250 kg/ha showed growth and better results on the average variable plant height and fresh weight of onion plants in inland peat soil.

ABSTRACT This study aimed to determine the effect of bokashi kayambang (Salvinia molesta) and Phosphorus Fertilizer on Peat Soil on growth and yield of okra (Abelmoschus esculentus). This study was conducted in October 2012-March 2013 at Jl. Lais II, Bukit Tunggal, Jekan Raya, Palangka Raya. This study used a completely randomized design (CRD) with two factor factorial treatment. The first factor was Applying of Bokashi Kayambang(K) consisting of 5 levels, namely: K0 = 0 t.ha-1, K1 = 2,5 t.ha-1, K2 = 5,0 t.ha-1, K3 = 7,5 t.ha-1, K4 = 10 t.ha-1. The second factor was the provision of phosporus fertilizer (P) which consist of 5 levels, namely: P0 = 0 kg.ha-1, P1 = 150 kg.ha-1, P2 = 200 kg.ha-1, P3 = 250 kg.ha-1, P4 = 300 kg.ha-1, so there are 25 combinations of treatment and repeated three times so that there are 75 units experiment. The result showed that interaction of bokashi kayambang dose 2,5 t.ha-1 and without phosphorus fertilizer were giving the best effect for the average of plant height at the age of 1 WAP. The interaction of bokashi kayambang dose 2,5 t.ha-1 and phosphorus fertilizer 300 kg.ha-1 were giving the best effect for the average of plant height at the age of 6 WAP.The single treatment of bokashi kayambang dose 2,5 t.ha-1was the best effect for the average of plant height at the age 5 WAP and harvest weight. The single treatment of phosphorus fertilizer dose 300 kg.ha-1was the best effect for the harvest weight . Keywords: okra, bokashi kayambang, phosporus, peat soil. Pemberian pupuk fosfor 300 kg.ha-1 tanpa bokashi kayambang memberikan pengaruh yang terbaik terhadap tinggi tanaman okra pada umur 1 mst. Sedangkan pemberian bokashi kayambang dosis 2,5 t.ha-1 dan pupuk fosfor 300 kg.ha-1 memberikan pengaruh yang terbaik terhadap tinggi tanaman okra pada umur 6 mst. Pemberian bokashi kayambang dosis 2,5 t.ha-1 memberikan pengaruh yang terbaik untuk terhadap tinggi tanaman umur 5 mst dan bobot panen. Sedangkan pemberian pupuk fosfor dosis 300 kg.ha-1 memberikan pengaruh yang terbaik terhadap bobot panen buah muda tanaman okra. Kata kunci: okra, bokashi kayambang, fosfor, tanah gambut.

To determine the effect of Organic-based Fortified Foliar Fertilizer (OFF) on the growth and yield of ‘Lakatan’ banana, this study was conducted at the University of Southeastern Philippines, Tagum – Mabini Campus, Mabini Unit, Mampising, Mabini, Compostela Valley Province, from December 2015 to March 2016.          The experiment was laid out in Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with six treatments replicated three times. The treatments were: T1- control; T2- Recommended Rate of NPK fertilizer/ha; T3 - ½ RR of NPK/ha; T4 –Organic-based Fortified Foliar fertilizer (OFF) at 100 ml/16 liters of water; T5 - ½ RR of NPK + OFF; and T6 - RR of NPK + OFF. Results showed that no significant effects were observed in terms of the plant height at 15, 30, 45 days after application (DAA), pseudostem girth at 15, 30, 45 DAA, and number of hands per bunch. However, significant differences were obtained in the number of leaves, number of fingers per bunch, fruit weight (kg) and yield (tons/ha) of ‘Lakatan’ banana. The highest number of leaves were obtained in T6 – RR of NPK fertilizer/ha + OFF which is comparable to T5 – ½ RR of NPK fertilizer/ha + OFF. T6 – RR of NPK+ OFF also had the highest number of fingers per hand than the rest of the treatments as much as 21% higher than the control. The fruit weight of T6 – RR of NPK+ OFF has 61% higher than untreated and the yield of 37 tons/ha is higher than the national average yield of 9.4 tons/ha in ‘Lakatan’ banana.

The growth and yield of plants are mainly a function of the quantity of fertilizer and water. In coastal sandy soil, nutrient losses and dry soils are seriously problems. The objective of the research was to study effect of zeolite and hucalci concentrations as NPK coating materials on NPK qualities i.e. water adsorption and release of N, P and K. The research used a coastal sandy soil as media. It was conducted in a laboratory of Soil Science Department, Gadjah Mada University from July to August 2009. Experimental design used was a factorial in a completely randomized design. The first factor was hucalci concentration, consisted of 10% (H1), 20% (H2), and 30% (H3). The second factor was zeolite concentration, consisted of 25% (Z1), 50% (Z2), 75% (Z3), and 100% (Z4). NPK fertilizer (without coating) used as a control. The results showed that hucalci and zeolite had a capability to increase water adsorption and to retard the release of N, P, K. The coated NPK with hucalci 30% and zeolite 100% had the highest quality in water absorption, water retention and release of nutrients.Keywords: Coastal sandy soil, humic-calcium, NPK fertilizer, zeolite

ABSTRACT The purpose of this research was to know the best market waste that can increase the nutrient on peat soil, and to know the best kind of raw material of organic fertilizer that can give the best growth and yield of okra in peatsoil. The experiment design conducted Completely Randomized Design with single factor consisting seven levels of dosage bokashi namely without bokashi, fish waste bokashi 20 t ha-1, fish waste bokashi 30 t ha-1, vegetables waste 20 t ha-1, vegetables waste 30 t ha-1, fruit waste 20 t ha-1, and fruit waste 30 t ha-1. The results showed that provision of fish waste 30 t ha-1 could increase plant height (33.4 cm), number of leaf (34) and yield of okra (688 g) at 5 week after planting (WAP). Key words : Okra, market waste, bokashi, peat soil ABSTRAK Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui jenis limbah pasar terbaik yang dapat meningkatkan unsur hara pada tanah gambut dan mengetahui jenis bahan baku pupuk organik terbaik yang dapat memberikan pertumbuhan dan hasil okra terbaik di lahan gambut. Percobaan ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak lengkap (RAL) yang disusun dengan 1 (satu) faktor perlakuan Bokashi (B) yang terdiri dari 4 taraf dan berbagai macam Dosis Bokashi, yang diulang 4 ulangan sehingga diperoleh 28 kombinasi perlakuan. Terdiri atas : Tanpa pemberian bokashi (B0), Pemberian bokashi limbah ikan 20 t ha-1 (B1), Pemberian bokashi limbah ikan 30 t ha-1 (B2), Pemberian bokashi limbah sayur- sayuran 20 t ha-1 (B3), Pemberian bokashi limbah sayur-sayuran 30 t ha-1 (B4), Pemberian bokashi limbah buah-buahan 20 t ha-1 (B5), Pemberian bokashi limbah buah-buahan 30 t ha-1 (B6). Hasil penelitian ini dapat diketahui Pemberian bokashi limbah ikan dengan dosis 30 t ha-1 mampu meningkatkan pertumbuhan tinggi tanaman sebesar 33.4 cm (5 MST), jumlah daun rata-rata 34 helai (5 MST) dan hasil tanaman okra sebesar 688 gram (5 MST). Kata Kunci : Okra, limbah pasar, bokashi, tanah gambut.

ABSTRACT The purposed of this experiment were to find out the interaction betweentype of organic fertilizer and dosagesof inorganicfertilizer on peat soil tothe growth and yield oftomato. The experimental units laid onFactorial Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with two factors. The first factor was three types of organic fertilizer i.e: P1: chicken manure (10 ton ha-1); P2: cow manure (10 ton ha-1); P3: compost of palm oil empty fruit bunches (10 ton ha-1). The second factor was dosage of NPK fertilizer which consisted of 4 levels: N0: without fertilizer (control); N1: 100 kg ha-1; N2: 200 kg ha- 1; N3: 300 kg ha-1. Variables measured were: plant height, number of leaves, numbers of productive branches and weight of harvested fruit.The results showed that combination of compost with NPK fertilizer doses of 300 kg ha-1 is the best in enhancing vegetative growth of plants, with plant height reaching 84,3 cm and 30 leaf sprigs. In generative phase, combination of chicken manure with the dosage of NPK 300 kg ha-1produces the heaviest tomato harvest weight, which is 379.4 g plant-1. The best dosage of NPK fertilizer in increasing the growth and yield of tomato is 300 kg ha-1. Faktor pertama adalah tiga jenis pupuk organik dengan dosis 10 t ha-1, yaitu: P1= pupuk kandang ayam; P2= pupuk kandang sapi; P3= kompos tandan kosong kelapa sawit (TKKS). Faktor kedua adalah dosis pupuk NPK, yang terdiri dari 4 taraf, yaitu: N0 = tanpa pemberian pupuk (kontrol); N1 = dosis 100 kg ha-1; N2= dosis 200 kg ha-1; N3= dosis 300 kg ha-1. Variabel yang diamati adalah tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, jumlah cabang produktif dan bobot panen buah.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwakombinasi kompos TKKS dengan pupuk NPK dosis 300 kg ha-1 paling baik dalam meningkatkan pertumbuhan vegetatif tanaman, dengan tinggi tanaman mencapai 84,3 cm dan jumlah daun 30 tangkai.Padafase generatif, kombinasi pupuk kandang ayam dengan dosis pupuk NPK 300 kg ha-1 menghasilkan bobot panen tomat terberat, yaitu 379,4 g tan-1.Dosis pupuk NPK yang terbaik dalam meningkatkan pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman tomat adalah 300 kg ha-1. Kata kunci : Tomat, tanah gambut, pupuk organik, pupuk NPK.

ABSTRACT   The increased productivity of peatlands can be done by applying an intercropping system. The commodities that can be intercropped are chili and shallots. This research aims to determine the planting distance and dosage of NPK fertilization on production in intercropping of chili and shallot on peat soil. This research was conducted from August to December 2018 at the Experimental Farm, Faculty of Agriculture, and Islamic University of Riau. Research experiments used a completely randomized design with three replications. The first factor of the spacing consisted of 4 levels, J1 (50 x 50 cm), J2 (60 x 50 cm), J3 (70 x 50 cm). The second factor of NPK 16:16:16 fertilizer dosage were N0 (0 kg. ha-1), N1 (250 kg. ha-1), N2 (500 kg. ha-1), N3 (750 kg. ha-1). Shallot was planted 2 weeks before planting chili with a spacing of 20 cm x 20 cm. The results indicated that the best planting distance and dosage of NPK on intercropping chili pepper and shallots in peatland was  50 x 50 cm and NPK 500 kg/ha for growth and production of shallots. The best planting distance and dosage of NPK on intercropping chili pepper and shallots in peatland was  50 x 50 cm and NPK 750 kg/ha for the production of chili pepper.

ABSTRACT Low fertility was the problem of shallot development in peat.Compost with the right level of maturity can improve the characteristic of peat. Aim of this research was to determine the effect of maturity level of compostto production of three shallot varieties in peat. The experiment was conducted at Experimental Farm,Islamic University of Riau from April to August 2017. The research used a completely randomized design with 3 replications. Treatments were no compost, maturity level 1 week, 3 weeks, and 5 weeks and Kampar, Medan, and Brebes varieties. Compost of 3 week gave the best result on compost and peat soil analysis. However, Compost of1 weekprovides the highest increase on pH. Compostof 1 week significantly increase the number of bulbon Kampar variety ie 7.56 bulbs, while wet weight bulb and dry weight bulb per plot on Brebes varietyie 1062.83 g and 920.83 g.
