When it comes to the quality of education, despite the general adhesion related to its importance, one can notice a number of opinions frequently contradicting themselves. The intention of delimitating, systemizing, and prioritizing the multitude of quality facets simply enhances the criticism. These circumstances prompt a more thorough analysis of the quality in education. Focusing on the perspective of the European Higher Education, this chapter proposes a set of convergence indicators that are able to capture the relationship toward which universities evolve. The indicators are then tested against the opinion of several experts from Romanian Higher Education Institutions, analyzed, and subjected to careful revision based on the respondents' answers.

The measurement of oxygen content in liquid iron and steel has been a challenge for decades and there have been many attempts to develop oxygen sensor to adjustment the smelting process on the basis of the probe for monitoring oxygen dissolved in molten liquid. However, there was still not a common standards of zirconium tubes about domestic product, which limited their application and improvement This work selected several domestic enterprises oxygen measuring half-cell system to study the relationship between the physical properties and microstructure at room temperature. Furthermore, we also analyzed about the typical performance of the domestic Oxygen content products, which would be beneficial to test and improve the quality of domestic products. Keywords: zirconia tubes, oxygen content, oxygen sensor

The agricultural sector in Nigeria is an area where gender inequity, leading to women subjugation and exploitation, is very evident. In spite of the enormity of the roles played by women in various agricultural production activities, the sector is still largely regarded as a man’s world. Statistics, however, have shown that rural women, more than their male counterparts, are involved in agriculture, constituting up to 60-80 percent of the labour force. It is therefore, ironical that their contributions to agriculture and rural development are seldom noticed or rewarded. This paper investigated the relationship between gender inequality in agriculture and impoverishment of rural women and its implication for national development. Beyond identifying the causes of gender inequity, it made context-specific recommendations towards its eradication.

ABSTRACTAgricultural activities still have a very strategic role in supporting national development, both for economic growth and equitable development. The strategic role of the agricultural sector for economic growth includes: food producers for the population of Indonesia, foreign exchange earners through exports, providers of industrial raw materials, increased employment and business opportunities, increased GDP, poverty alleviation and improvement of agricultural human resources through agricultural extension activities. The purpose of this study is to, (1) Knowing farmers' satisfaction with extension services in farming development in Pidie District, and (2) Knowing the relationship between the quality of agricultural extension services to the development of farming in Pidie District. This research was carried out in the Dayah Syarief Village, Mutiara District, Pidie District. The sample in this study were all farmers who numbered 90 people. The independent variables in this study are: (X1), Response (X2), Confidence (X3), Empathy (X4), Physical Evidence (X5) and Farmer Decision (Y) as the dependent variable. Data is collected using the survey method through a questionnaire filled out by Farmers. The data processing in this study will use the SPSS program (Statistical Package for the Social Science). The satisfaction of farmer with extension services in farming development in Busu Dayah Syarief Village, Mutiara District, Pidie District based on the results of research on Farmer Satisfaction variables obtained an average value of (4.18), so that respondents' assessment of the Farmer Satisfaction variable was influenced by variables of reliability, responsiveness , Belief, empathy and physical evidence. The relationship of the quality of agricultural extension services to the development of farming in Busu Dayah Syarief Village, Mutiara District, Pidie District, based on the results of the analysis concluded that of the five variables studied, it turns out the Confidence variable (X3) has the most dominant influence of 0.422% on Farmer Satisfaction. The relationship between the dependent and independent variables is each variable Reliability (X1), Responsiveness (X2), Confidence (X3), Empathy (X4), and Physical Evidence (X5) to Farmer Satisfaction with a correlation index of 0.978 or 97.8 % This means that the relationship is very strong. Then the index of determination of each variable Reliability (X1), Responsiveness (X2), Confidence (X3), Empathy (X4), and Physical Evidence (X5) is 0.957 or 95.7%, this means that the 5 variables have a significant effect towards farmer satisfaction in farming development, and by 4.3% which is influenced by other variables not examined in this study. Keywords: Extension, Farmers, Agriculture, Satisfaction.

Pamela Barnhouse Walters examines empirically the relationship of educational development to economic growth in developing countries. Basing her argument on dependency theory, she presents data suggesting that educational expansion has not advanced economic growth. She concludes that while educational reform is not, in and of itself, an effective strategy for promoting such growth, it may have beneficial effects on other aspects of national development.

Education is very important research subject in the field of economy. It is a major determinant of economic development and a central factor to human capital capacity-building. It is very common that the studies which focus on the examine the relationship between educational inputs and outputs generally analyze this relationship by Educational Production Function which connects a variety of input types to a given output. Following to this function, the aim of this study is to give a better understanding of the PISA-participating Asian countries’ success analysing the importance of the economic/socio-economic and educational factors on the quality of education, using Panel Data methods. These economic and non-economic variables give us a good mix of data to regress upon and make our determinations about the relationship between educational output and inputs. Since the quality of education is measured by student’s average performance on standardized international test, we focus on the PISA-based test scores in the study. PISA was developed by OECD in order to determine how efficiently the students at the 15 year-old age group are educated and trained. It was first performed in 2000 and then repeated every three years. Its aim is to provide comparable data with a view to enabling countries to improve their education policies and outcomes. In general, the implication of these findings can serve as a guideline for teachers, politicians, governments and give a light to educational policies and methodologies which help countries improve their quality on education.

Abstract. Recently, Garfinkel and Critchley (2013) proposed to distinguish between three facets of interoception: interoceptive sensibility, interoceptive accuracy, and interoceptive awareness. This pilot study investigated how these facets interrelate to each other and whether interoceptive awareness is related to the metacognitive awareness of memory performance. A sample of 24 healthy students completed a heartbeat perception task (HPT) and a memory task. Judgments of confidence were requested for each task. Participants filled in questionnaires assessing interoceptive sensibility, depression, anxiety, and socio-demographic characteristics. The three facets of interoception were found to be uncorrelated and interoceptive awareness was not related to metacognitive awareness of memory performance. Whereas memory performance was significantly related to metamemory awareness, interoceptive accuracy (HPT) and interoceptive awareness were not correlated. Results suggest that future research on interoception should assess all facets of interoception in order to capture the multifaceted quality of the construct.
